Closed This Time, We Dance

[Ren Lockwood]

Ren was incredibly nervous. He had a vague idea of what he wanted to do tonight, but didn't know if he should go through with it. Was it too soon? Of course it was, he couldn't ask her tonight. He would need to set it in motion, properly woo her like in the old stories. He grinned, glad to have decided, relaxing a bit as he brought Sam into the Great Hall. "What do you think, Sammy?" He asked affectionately, bringing her hand up to place a gentle kiss to the back of it. "May I have a dance?"

Samantha was excited about what the night was going to hold. She liked events liked these, to socialise and dance. She was also excited to spend more time with Ren. When Ren kissed the back of her hand, Samantha blushed and laughed a little. "You may, you kind sir," Samantha says with a small laugh and smile. She hoped that this night was going to be a great one.

Ren smiled and lead Sam out onto the dance floor, pulling her into his arms and holding her close as they danced. "Did I tell you how beautiful you look tonight?" He asked, placing his hands on her waist as they swayed to the music. "You know, Sam, I... I would really like to see you more outside of the dances." He told her. "W-would that be okay?" He gave her a shy smile. "I know I spend a lot of time drawing... but I'd be willing to try doing something new if you wanted." He offered. He wouldn't mind some slight adventuring if he could spend some time with Sam in return.

Samantha smiles as they started dancing, and she held onto Ren's shoulders. She blushes and laughs when Ren mentions how beautiful she is. "I would like that a lot. Of course, that's okay" Samantha says softly with a small smile. She did like to spend time with Ren. "Don't give up drawing because of me, You like to draw. You should keep going with that." Samantha says with a smile. "You know, I still haven't seen these drawings you have mentioned a couple of times," Samantha says with a slight laugh as they continued to dance. She liked seeing how Ren had an interest in drawing. She wasn't good at drawing or really had a hobby.

Ren chuckled. "I didn't mean I would give it up completely. I just meant... I want to know more about you, Sammy. Let's do stuff you like to do. Or, I dunno, go out and do things. Walk along the lake, go to the cliffs, stuff like that." He smiled, tucking her hair behind her ear. "You know if you want to see my drawings I'd be happy to show you. Most people just get bored with them though, since they aren't bright and colorful."
