Felix kept wiping is palms on his pants as he waited for Molly to show up. He hands hadn't stopped sweating since he left a note for her to meet him here tonight. He had wanted to ask her our properly but every time he saw her the words would get stuck in his throat and he'd say something completely different, usually something dumb. Yet she would still smile at him and laugh anyways. But that wasn't going to happen tonight. He was ready this time and had it all planned out. He would get her something to drink and then ask her to dance and once it felt right he would ask if she wanted to be is girlfriend. He had gone over it in his head a million times. Felix wanted the night to feel somewhat romantic. He liked the summer theme this year but it hadn't been exactly what he had in mind. He did his best to not be thrown off completely. He would have to get past it. He glanced around the hall again in case he had missed Molly coming in. With a sickening feeling he realized he never asked if she had other plans for the dance. The last thing he needed was for her to show up with someone else. Felix shook his head and took a deep breath. There was no point in freaking out yet.

When Molly received a note from Felix about going to the yule ball with him, she immediately said yes. She couldn't say no. She enjoyed spending time with Felix and had hoped that it was going to be a good night. She wasn't going to admit it, but Molly had been a little nervous for this evening. She really liked Felix and liked spending time with him, she hoped that the night was going to be great. Molly had been worried about her outfit for far too long, that she hadn't realised how late she was. The Hufflepuff hurriedly made her way down to the great hall and giggled happily when she saw Felix, waving excitedly, hoping that her excitement was covering up her nervousness. "Hi! Sorry, I'm late. I hope I didn't keep you waiting for too long" Molly says with a small embarrassed smile.

Felix felt his entire body sag with relief when he finally saw Molly enter the great hall. He hadn't realized just how tense he. But he snaped back to attention when she spotted him and headed his way. "Oh no! You're not late at all. Right on time." he rambled out all at once when she tried to apologize. He didn't remember if he had even specified a time in his note. Not that it really mattered now. She had showed up and obviously wanted to spend the dance with him. "Now the party can really start." he said with a laugh. "Would you like to get something to drink first?" he asked and held out his elbow to escort her over to the snack table. He knew that they were just in the great hall and they were here every day and there was only so much he could do to make the place they ate breakfast romantic but he was trying.

Molly sighed in relief when Felix mentioned that she had arrived on time. Though she still felt guilty for making Felix wait for her and she had hoped that he hadn't made him wait too long. She giggled a little at Felix's comment. "It sure can. Are you ready to party?" Molly asked with a smile. Molly couldn't wait. She was excited about the night, especially since she was spending it with Felix. "Sure, I'd like that" Molly says with a smile and nod, as she gently held onto his arm.

Felix's smile widened. "Definitely." he answered confidently when she asked if he was ready. He wasn't sure if he would ever stop smiling. So far everything was going according to plan, maybe this wouldn't be so hard after all? He felt his cheeks get hot as Molly held on to his arm and hoped that it wasn't too noticeable due to the summer theme of the dance. "Ok cool." he mumbled to himself as they made their way across the hall. He was a little sad for her to let go but he wanted to be polite and get her drink for her. Felix was trying to calm himself but the question bubbling up inside of him made it impossible to think straight. So when his fingers fumbled and dropped the cup right where Molly was standing, his heart dropped too. "Oh...oh no. I'm so sorry." he gushed. "Let me help!"

Molly smiled gleefully when Felix answered the question. She had a feeling that the night was going to be a good night. Her face felt like it was going to become numb due to how much she was smiling but she didn't mind. Even though it was just the beginning, she was already enjoying herself. They had made their way inside the great hall towards the food table where the drinks were. She was a little sad to have let go of Felix's arm though. She thought it was nice of him to get her a drink. However, the turn of events happened as Felix accidentally dropped a drink where she was standing. Molly let gasped a little at the sudden movement of the cup dropping. "Hey, it's okay, don't worry," Molly says genuinely with a small smile and nod as he had apologised. She wasn't mad even if some had spilled on her. "I'm sure stuff like this happens all the time," Molly says with a small giggle and smile to try and lift up the mood a little.
