By the third time, it seemed Cyan was an expert on birth giving. However, she hadn't expected her water to break in front of most of the neighborhood at their small get together for Halloween. With her kids dressed fully in Halloween costumes (A little slab of butter for the youngest and a small knife for the oldest), and her and Aion were toast and an avocado - cute and hand made by the fashion forward mother herself. So much for that now that the costume would be ruined. "Perfect." She had groaned before leaving behind all the candy, wanting to get back to their house which had what they needed for the birthing.

"Mommy you peed." Iris pointed out, already looking grossed out. What a sassy child, if she wasn't careful the chancla would become a well known friend of hers. "Aion, baby, can you please just ring the nurse?" She asked, planning another in home birth, in the designated room with the ruined carpet that they'd eventually pull up. it was either going to be a long day or a short one. After all, this baby obviously seemed heck bent on being born on Halloween. "I'll give you some candy if you come out quick." The woman urged the child.

When Aion had agreed to Cyan making their little family home made Halloween costumes, he hadn’t realised what he’d gotten himself into before it was too late. He’d still gone about it happily though, making a fuss over the girls who looked very cute, if not a little unusual in their outfits. His little slab of butter kept face planting the run before they left the house, a mixture of not yet getting full balance of her legs, and the yellow fabric tripping her up, although Aion half felt like she was also doing it on purpose because of the giggles that came out of her after.
Once they were out, the sun had begun to set but there were still many people trick or treating. Last year had been too hard for them to get out and so this year was the first time Iris had to toddle along the path and take it everything around her. It was his daughters words that caused Aion to go white as a sheet and look to Cyan. She didn’t seemed panicked at all, and while her due date was upcoming he hadn’t realised it would be right now. “Cy..” he asked, but she got there first and after a moment he woke up to what he needed to do. “I hope he does,” Cyan had been taking things to try and help the sex of their third child, and he was confident that this time they’d complete their family with a son. Aion grabbed his cell, dialling the woman he had on speed dial, and was relieved when she picked up. After a few moments they had a plan, and closing his phone he knew he had to get his family back home. With Demi’s hand in one his own, he stroked Iris’s little head of curls and directed her towards to house. “Come on, all the fun is back at the house now!” He said excitedly trying to encourage his daughter not to play up so they could get home sooner rather than later. With any luck he would be able to distract both girls with something else while they welcomed their newest addition.

Cyan was shocked, sweaty, and tired by the end of the delivery. Five full hours nearly, which was much shorter than her other two. Cyan swore it was only because she was so used to doing this. Months they had planned and pined, thinking their baby would have to be a boy, a healthy bouncing baby in blue. However, the midwife grinned happily and announced their third girl, and Cyan gave a look to Aion that read her emotions of surprise all over her face. The nurse gave an awkward smile, reading the room and handed the baby to the mother.

"A girl. Another girl." Cyan said with a distant voice." She looked to her husband. "Well what the hell are we gonna name her?" She asked, completely unsure on a name that wasn't boyish - as they had thoroughly planned for a boy

Aion had managed to convince the girls to get involved with another arts project when they got home, which at least kept them busy and distracted until they were tired enough to sleep. It had been a long day for them all but the Magizoologist knew his was only just beginning. After Iris and Demi were sleeping, he joined his wife, glad not to have missed too much. Having a birth at home had always been their preferred option, it just felt more natural to them they always had the midwife there to help them if they needed it. Unknowing how long the labour would be, Aion was prepared to stay awake as long as he could, and was already on his fourth coffee of the evening by the time things began to speed up.
"A girl?" he looked up at Cyan with a similarly reflected smile of confusion. He was going to be so overrun. What about the herbs! It was only a momentary consideration though, as he looked down at his third baby girl, another beautiful child to add to their growing numbers. "I don't Ares is going to cut it," he said, not even caring at this point that he wasn't going to get his son after all. They'd planned for so long, so confident, but as he looked at the tiny child he was felt like they were complete exactly as they were. "Why don't you choose?" he asked, his eyes still admiring the newborns features for a moment, before glancing back up to his Cyan and kissing her proudly.

Cyan looked at Aion with a half smile. "Well I'm sure at least one of these ones will be like you." She said with a laugh. Cyan thought. "No you're right, look how sweet she is. Barely making noise." Cyan sighed, and the baby yawned as well, as if to echo her mother. "So wait, did she just sigh like me?" Cyan chuckled a little. "Oh that hurt." She commented, before trying to adjust a bit. "It's like she echoed me. What about that?" She asked, looking at her husband. "Echo." She murmured, hoping for approval from Aion. It seemed the baby didn't mind the gibberish, smiling up with closed sleepy eyes.
