Atkin had everything set. They had been set for a while now. Now, all he needed to set them in motion. The weather was perfect for what he had in mind. He wondered if it was enough for whom they were intended. He checked everything to make sure he did miss anything, especially that one thing. He just hoped that Mallory would love what he had prepared for her. He just felt so stupid for not doing this sooner. What was even worse was it took a letter from Soren to get him up and moving.

Mallory had been taking a bit of time off of school to care for her sister- Annika had made it through a rough pregnancy but still needed her help with Ulysses, and her health seemed to be shaky. Mallory was worried a bit, but for now all she could do was try and help out around the house and keep her sister off her feet. Shane was sweet, but Mallory was the eldest and she was the type to look after her little sister. She did have some plans, however, so leaving Annika and the baby with Shane for a bit, Mallory took the time to get dressed up and gathered her bag before heading back home, hoping Atkin might be around.

As she walked in, however, she was met with the boys. She wasn't sure where Sadie was, but she couldn't help but smile at Slate and Soren. Slate looked nervous, fidgety, and Soren looked smug, like he knew something. She started to say hello, but before she could Soren was telling her he'd miss her over the break. "What on earth are you talking about?" She asked, setting her bag down. "I just got back."
