Hiding in the Durmstrang library, head buried in an old leather bound book, Rafael was dead to the world. When he read, his mind would drift to another world of dreaminess and unreality. He'd be in the book, helping the characters along and seeing exactly what they saw. It was only when he read the last word, that his mind snapped out of his daydream and he looked up slowly. How much time had passed? It had seemed only a minute, and yet hours had gone by. He'd have to be getting back to his dorm soon. Standing up, Rafael slid the old dusty book back into the designated spot in the shelf, wondering if he should take one back to read in the night. It of course annoyed his friends when he had a torch on at night, but that couldn't be helped. He loved reading enough to take the abuse. Nobody could tell him off anyway, they didn't dare. Much as a softie he was, he could get angry if he needed to.
With a friendly smile shot at the librarian, Rafael chose not to take a book back tonight. Instead, with a swift movement, he made his way to the door and pulled it open forcefully, only to find a girl had been on the other side. Holding back his gasp, Rafael went into apology mode, trying to make sure she was alright and make up for the accident. 'Sorry', He gabbled, then realizing that it was a little odd for her to be coming to the library at this time of night. She should be getting back to her own dorm. 'You alright?', he asked, opening the door widely and standing behind it so that she could come in.
