Closed The White Ball

Ben was not too fond of events or there were too many people like the ball but since he had promised @Alice Traynor to go with her and he didn't want to disappoint her. He was waiting for his friend down the stairs a bit away from most of the groups he admired at the same time, the ease with which one of the girls spoke and made the group laugh. Ben never knew how to approach someone that's also why he didn't have many friends but that was fine with him, well that's what he said to himself. He readjusted his costume, he had found it before he left for Hogwarts in one of his father's old wardrobes, the costume seemed a bit small but he hoped it suited him anyway.

Alice really wanted to go to the party, but didn't want to go alone so she invited her towermate and friend Benjamin Dreyer. She didn't wait for a friend for too long, as it would be rude. He looked at herself one last time, then she went downstairs to the common room where Ben was waiting for her. The common room was full everyone looked solemn and then in the middle of them Alice saw Ben. ''Hey, Ben. Shall we go?'' she asked, approaching a friend and smiling him a sincere smile. Alice had put on a white dress with a black belt, which she bought in the summer.

"Oh hey Alice, yes let's go" he said on his way to the ballroom "you are really pretty tonight. Well I don't mean you are not the rest of the time, you look pretty all the time of course "he added, blushing a little, Ben wasn't really good at giving compliments. When they got to the middle of the room, the young boy started to get stressed out at the sight of the crowd of young people dancing a few feet away from him "uh, do you want something to eat or w-we ca-can go dancing if you want "the boy had a tendency to stutter when he was in such a situation. But he really wanted to have a good night out with his friend so he tried to relax and gave Alice a big smile, that's when he realized how tense he had been since they got in.
