The weather today was just like Blake liked it. It was warm, warm enough to wear summer clothes, but a slight breeze was blowing making the warmth bearable and sky was cloudy with slightly grey clouds, not a bit of the blue sky being shown anywhere. The Gryffindor girl was wearing an off shoulder white summer dress with a pattern of peach coloured roses in it. It was one of her favourite dresses but something she didn't often wear to those lake events during summer that her mom would make her tag along, since she couldn't be seen with a dress from a collection released two years ago. As usual her footwear was something heeled, red high heeled sandals, which wasn't the post practical thing to wear when you were stepping on grass, she had to admit that but she had no intentions of rushing her walk through the lawn and the garden.

When she finished her stroll she sat on a nearby bench and opened her should chain clutch, the perfect bag to fit the thing she needed, a book. Blake wouldn't usually read one of these in her spare time but today she felt like enjoying the day outside. She wanted to finish a book that she had started a long time ago called "Doomed Love". A story about two lovers who couldn't be together because of their families and so the boy decides to leave college and his studies to be with the girl, only to find out that the girl's father sent her to a convent to keep them apart. The boy got help from a second girl who helped these two lovers to keep in touch by letters but now this second girl was also falling in love with the boy.

These kind of stories were extremely unrealistic nowadays but Blake couldn't help to be drawn by them and this ideal of what love should be. Even though she really liked these stories she could never imagine herself in a situation like this, where guys do all the work and girls just sit still and wait to be helped. Blake was the kind of girl who could appreciate a nice gesture but she didn't exactly waited for anyone to come to her rescue, she was her own hero. As a matter of fact she had a ten lines essay from third grade explaining that when her teacher once asked them to write about their heroes.
