Asking Oscar out to the Yule Ball was extremely scary. She knew she wanted to ask Oscar and thus she had been growing a Dionaea muscipula or Venus Flytrap. She had fed it full so it wouldn't starve from the note. Since she also knew that once the plant was snapped shut it used energy and if there was no food inside it could die easily. So she made sure that it had enough restores to survive the plan. She grabbed the plant and the note and left the Hufflepuf dorm to make way to the North Tower. She had left a note at class for Oscar and thus she was sure that he knew the right time and place.

The Venus Flytraps pot was painted by Ana and Rose had put a bow on the neck of the pot, which harbored another little note. She left the pot outside and stuck the note in its leaves. It wouldn't die from this and the plant would receive a nice big fly after the leaves would open again. The note read:

''Dear Oscar,

Do you want to go to the ball with me?
Yes [] No [] Maybe [] Sorry I like another plant lady []

Rose.''

The other note around its neck read:

''Sorry I am too chicken to ask you, thought this was a good alternative.''

Rose knew her plan was complete she was now hiding behind a bookcase. Now it was Oscar's turn to find the plant.

Oscar was surprised to find the note left to him by Rosemarie. It wasn't often their way of communicating with each other during classes, as he was usually paying too much attention to know what was happening around him, so he was eager to read what was written inside of it. He was even more surprised when he read that she wanted to meet up with him at the North Tower later that day, and immediately began to wonder what for and why she couldn't just tell him so in person.

He found himself a little concerned when he made his way to the North Tower and hoped that all was well with Rosemarie. Had something happened to her Atropa belladonna? If so, she was better off going to Professor Carter with it, he was much more skilled at nursing plants back to health. Oscar looked around when he arrived at the spot she told him to come. She was nowhere in sight however so he decided to look around for a bit to keep himself entertained whilst he waited for her.

It didn’t take him long to find something that wasn't supposed to be there. A potted Dionaea muscipula with notes wrapped around it. The pot seemed to be painted, which made him frown - there was only one person he knew that painted pots but he couldn’t think of a reason why Ana would leave a potted plant around just like that. Oscar unwrapped the first note from its neck and opened it to see if there was something written inside of it. Strangely enough, it was addressed to him... He read it in silence, his heart fluttering at the words written on the little piece of parchment. For a minute Oscar stared at the parchment, wondering what it meant. Older students had told some of them that going to the Yule Ball with a date was something romantic, but surely Rosemarie wasn't suggesting that they should go with romantic intentions?

From her hiding spot Rose spotted Oscar. Instinctively she clutched her other hand towards her body only to realize she didn't have a plant with her. Rose was sure Oscar had found the plant and he was now reading the first note. The first one wasn't that important and she just hoped he would reach the second one before the plant devoured it. Rose grinned and immediately realized she had made a sound, quickly she placed her hand on her mouth to stifle the sound she had made. Hoping Oscar would reach the second note soon so she got her answer.
