Okay Markiz my roommate (who just joined recently) actually found this book in the library just the other day. I didn't even know it exist and it just makes her more a Harry Potter fan than I am. I wanted to know if there anymore books like this besides the series? And if we can have another book discussion topic? I didn't see the old one. Oh well -shrugs-

And than she found sp00f between twilight and Harry Potter. Its a comic book, really funny. Will get the title when she gets me those books.

There certainly are! I read Fantastic Beast and Where To Find Them by Newt Scamander when I was fifteen at my public library. The Christmas before I actually received the Tales of Beedle the Bard, so I own it. For those of you who want to read it, I could put the stories up. (They're pretty damn awesome).

Ummm, copyrighted works will not be placed on the site in breach of that copyright.
I do believe proceeds from all three side-along books (FBaWTFT, QQTtA, tToBt are all sold for various charities. So buying them doesn't just add to JKR's coffers. So buy the books and stuff.
I got Quidditch Through the Ages and Fantastic Beasts for easter one year. They were super nifty. Then I bought myself the Tales of Beedle the Bard as soon as they came out. Nothing super fabulous in the tales, but they did add more to the Harry Potter universe and offered extra insight in various places (like there is a Wizarding school fro Dramatic Arts. )

Which is funny, because 1. I was actually looking at my book, read the copyright and it didn't even occur to me, and 2. my mum mentioned that when I was chatting to her. "Would you even be able to put it up? Isn't it copyrighted?". I was like "Oh yeah, 'course."
