It had been some months since Ty had talked about more kids with Rhi, they'd started trying since then, never really going out of the way for it, but the months of no success had been a little disappointing. But it was not something that he was to rush, it couldn't be, and he was sure that they would have some luck eventually and if not, they had Fiona and Fiona was perfect in every single way. Tybalt came in from his night shift, just as his family were at the breakfast table. He'd never get over the way Fi's face would come home, it would light up, she would reach up for him, and no matter how sticky her little hands were he always moved to scoop her up in his arms and kiss her still chubby little checks. "Hows the sweetest little girl in the world?!" he said, smiling at her giggles. He placed her back down on her high chair na dlgnaced towards Rhi, "Sorry honey," He moved to kiss her too.

being a healer was not just a job. not something that you could do from 9-5 and return home and turn off from. being a healer was a way of life, it meant long hours, weird hours, night shits and when all you wanted was to be home with your family. when the family consisted of two healers and a 32 month old it was not often that rhiannon tried to have at least one meal a day with Tybalt. on some days they may get two or even more. lucky days their shifts matched and it was a shared dinner. others it was lunch together at work. other days, like today it was a breakfast as one came of night shift and the other was about to head off to work, although today was not just a usual breakfast. Rhiannon had been awake early her mind racing and had gone about making their favourite breakfast.
"Look who's home Fi" she cood as the doop opened and she heard Tys familiar footsteps. she smiled at the look on the girl's face she tybalt walked into the room. the kind of look that one would expect to see at Christmas. not at the arrival of a parent. every day.
she let fiona reply to her dads question before tybalt moved to her "no need to apologise I cant compete with a two year old on cutenessd" she said before giving him a kiss "Was it a good shift. you had tonight" she asked pleased that he was home on time and they weren't waiting hours for thim to get back.

Tybalt was always happy to come home to Fiona and his wife. He knew that being a healer did mean he was away for longer periods of time, that any other job and there would be night shifts, and they had to balance around Rhi's work and Fiona. it would likely get a little easier once they could put Fiona in school and Ty was sure that they would be able to make their schedules fit better, but he was sure too that it was a little wishful thinking. He smiled into the kiss and nodded, "It was as good as any shift with sick patients can be," at the very least no one had died and things had been relatively calm. "Things were calm though, so was able to get a bit of a nap at one point," he said. "How was Fi? How did you sleep?" he asked, wanting to be sure that everything in the house had been okay too.

[[sorry this took me so long.]]
Rhiannon smiled and nodded as Tybalt said that the night had gone smoothly. She didn't get too many night shifts anymore. with a mostly day schedule, and specialising in obstetrics and paediatrics her nights were usually on call. and she had been glad that there hadn't been any night baby's the last few weeks though she didn't want to thank that too loud as she was sure she knew what that would cause. "If you managed to get a nap it was defiantly a q word night" she said. for as long as she could remember there had always been superstitions about the q word. from her parents not saying it when she was a child to her time in med school and while working in Australia. everyone knew if you said it something would happen, something would start to beep, or a new patient would arrive or a combination of five of the above. all at once and the night would no longer be quiet.
"things here went well, Fi slept almost through to six, and did not have a wet bed, because who is a big girl" she said. looking at their little girl and ruffling her hair slightly resulting in a high-pitched shriek of laughter. she stopped and stepped away slightly as a feeling of nausea rose in her putting her hand over her mouth and willing it down as she reached for the packet of ginger bears sitting on the table.

Tybalt gave a nod of agreement, it had been a calmer night than others. It could really vary when it came to his field. Most of the time lots of patients could sleep through the night and then others would be voting all night. But that wasn't what he wanted to think about that while he was with his wife, who really didn't want to hear about it. He watched her as she began to explain how Fi had done and gave his daughter a wide and impressed smile. She was growing up so quickly. But he noted that Rhi stepped away looking a little pale. "Hey, you okay?" he asked quietly, keeping his voice low enough that Fiona wouldn't pick up on any of it. Not that she would understand if she did.

Rhiannon watched her daughter smile when she received the praise that she deserved from her dad. She knew th at between them they would make sure they child, children if her thoughts were right, would have a happy childhood and know that they were loved even if they may not be able to attend every school assembly or pick them up every day.
when the attention turned to here she smiled weakly and nodded until her stomach once again settled. ”I think so. If I am right I am more than okay. But I wanted to wait for you to get home before I checked. So we could find out together.” she said. She had had suspicions for a few days but she had given herself a couple of days before she even dared to Hope. And then she realised she was out of tests and their schedules just hadn’t Alligned well enough to check until now.

Tybalt considered Rhi's words, frowning a little bit, before the wheels turned in his brain enough to figure out what she might have meant. "Oh!" he said in surprise, he tried to not get too excited it didn't mean anything really, they could still end up not and he didn't want to be too disappointed because that just wasn't helpful. He nodded. "Okay, do you want to go take a test now? Do we even have any?" he asked, not sure if they'd justed up the last of them. He would go get more if necessary. "I can stay here with Fi while you go test?" he offered knowing that he wanted to be there with her but they couldn't just leave Fi to go do that.

Rhiannon could see the moment that tybalt realised what she had been saying. ”I am hoping that is the case she said she had been trying hard not to get her hopes up but now it felt so real there talking about it she didn’t want it not to be the case. ”I got some more the day before yesterday I think. What day is it? ” she said with shifts it was easy to loose track of what was today what was yesterday and what was tomorrow. She did know how tempting it had been to try one when she had been at work. The thought of them sitting in her bag was like a tantalus she had resisted but only just about. yes. I’ll be back in a minute And just keep n eye on the eggs. They are almostnready she said heading towards the door to the Rest of the house stopping for a second next to Ty as though his touch would give her luck or at least the little bit of bravery she needed to take the test she it did feel a bit different from the last few times when she had got a negative result.
she ”and now we wait she said setting the test on the table on top of the box face down. To try and resist the temptation to peek before the time was up.

Tybalt didn't want to get his hopes up about this, but he always did a little. He nodded as she said that she'd gotten some, his brain went completely blank about which day it was, he was sure when he'd walked into the house he'd known but it had completely gone now. He nodded as she went off to go take the test. Tybalt stayed with Fiona as she did so, keeping an eye on the eggs as he did so. It was pretty nerve wracking and they would know in minutes whether it was good new or if they would have to wait more. When she re-appeared, he smiled at her and looked towards the test as it was set down. He glanced at the time and then waited. "I don't really want to look," he told her laughing lightly, "It'll be fine either way, but this is the...most nerve wracking moment," He didn't necessarily want to be the one to look.

rhiannon tried not to look at the small bit of plastic sitting on the table. as she waited. She buttered the toast and added the eggs to it. she poured the coffee and put some juice in Fiona's cup. she looked over at tybalt who looked just as nervous as she felt.
Soon the timer was down to zero and she looked at ty walking over to him and gripping his hand. "I really want to look but don't want to be disappointed" he said leaning in for a light kiss before reaching for the test. she picked it up held it where they could both see and turned it over. there, clear as day, were two clear lines. she threw her arms around him not caring that one of them held a plastic wand that was half covered in her wee. "we're, I, Ty, it's" she said spluttering out words and not completing the sentences they belonged to in her excitement.

Hearing the timer go only added to Ty's nervousness. It was always this way, the anticipation and the nervousness, the disappointment and the trying again. He leaned into her kiss and then watched as she picked it up and held it. Her arms were near immediately around him and it took him just a second to realise it was out of excitment and not frustration or disappointment. Equally Tybalt wrapped his arms around her, thing was all the confirmation he needed to know that this time it was positive. He knew it would be a long way till the baby was here, but he was so excited for it. He laughed happily, hugging her tight. "We're having another?" he was of course still going to confirm it, and avoid saying too much with Fiona about in case she repeated it. But even Fiona seemed to understand that they were happy, giggling contently alongside their joy.

Rhiannon felt tybalts arms close around her and it was like she was in a bubble where nothing could go wrong a perfect place. She could feel his deep laugh though his chest and hear Fiona’s high pitched giggle. And her own laughter adding to the mix. It was still a long way off before they would welcome their little one into the world. And that was assuming everything went smoothly. But it would still come around quickly. And their family of three would grow to one of four. She leaned back and looked at tybalt only now realising that she was crying. yes we are. It’s positive. I’m, i’m p. I’m so happy” she said. Trying to pushback another wave of nausea. She was not going to let that ruin the monent.

Tyablt felt the same elation that he had felt when they'd found out she pregnant for the first time, and he felt he now had just so many memories to pick from if he ever ran into a dementor. It was just so nice to have these memories and hopefully in a long amount of months he would have another new memory of the newborn. it was still a while away and he knew that he should be too eager sicne anything could go wrong but he couldn't help his excitement. he noted as he looked at his wife that she was crying, he reached up and gently wiped the tears away. "Me too sweetheart, me too," he said. He then just smiled. "Do you want to go lie down and I'll wash up here with Fi?"

Rhiannon felt like she was floating. it didn't seem real other than this was what they had been trying for for a few months. and the familiarity of the feeling. she looked at her husband as he wiped the tears from her face a motion he had done so many times the last few years though this time she was crying of joy. "I love you" she said before a sound from the highchair moved her attention back to thier daughter. "I love you too my little princess" she said picking her up she was getting big and soon she wouldn't be able to lift her quite so easily. especially if she was carrying another baby. "Oh no that is okay" I am best not lying down" she said as she made the way over towards the sink not really able to dry anything so long as fiona was there. once breakfast and dishes were cone she glanced at her watch, she would have to leave soon. she didn't want to but she hadwork. staying scoon and she didn't want her patients eo miss out. "Thank you but i am afraid i can't stick here much longer it is heading towards eight and i need to get to the hospital soon. she said reaching her free hand to her tummy as though a bump may have appeared in the five minutes they were waiting. "But i am sure given the news they wont mind a few minutes" she said. bouncing fi around on her hip as she stood by the sink not really helping at all.

Tybalt glanced towards Fiona as she wanted some addition and Tybalt smiled at her. it would be a change for their daughter, but Tybalt felt sure that Fiona would manage it, that she would be the best big sister ever. He nodded as Rhi said she wouldn't be able to lie down, he wanted to insist, wanting this pregnancy to be easy for her, but he also knew that between the two of them Rhi knew this, she was the expert on it. She was the knowledge and he knew it was best to have her make all of the decisions about it. It was her pregnancy and her field of expertise, he was just the husband who wanted to wrap his wife in bubble wrap before sending her out into the world. "They won't, we should make an appointment though, to confirm...and maybe about the post-partum?" he didn't want to tread on anything but thought it would be a good idea to at least consider speaking to someone just to get ahead of things. If they needed to.
