With his return to the school being slightly un-eventful, Tony found himself falling back into the previous years routine of lounging in his dormitory with Peaches; or wandering aimlessly through the castle. The past three weeks had been similar in relation to lessons, and the young Ravenclaw still hated Potions. Scratching his pet around the head, the young second year chose to head out for another walk. The sun was spending a little more time in the sky; and the air was managing to remain warm too.

Dressed in his regular jeans; a short sleeved tee-shirt; and with his glasses propped against his nose, the young boy made his way down the stair-case leading to the common-room; before stepping through the entrance, and out into the castle. Where he was going was not known. What he was to do was not known. Trinity was an option, but she was likely busy with her other friends. A visit to the transfiguration class-room certainly seemed to be a good idea; but there had been a change of professors. Changes seemed to happen a lot. Just as he was becoming used to one professor, they left. The ones he wished would go away however, such as the Potions professor, simply remained. Staying at the school with the purpose of annoying the young wizard.

Ariah hopped down from the large rock she had been sitting on for the past hour so and let out a small squeak of surprise when she slipped on the gravel and nearly fell over. Luckily after stumbling around for a moment she was able to re catch her balance and not have a nasty fall. "Geez I wish I wasn't so klutzy." She stood up and bushed her hands off before she rolled her eyes at herself, that was the last time she was going to wearing these flats when she went jumping off of giant rocks. Ariah had been inside earlier doing History of Magic Homework or something like it but unfortunately got bored about halfway through and ended up heading outside for some time fresh air and a little time to explore before she headed back inside to do homework.

As she walked back up to the castle, Ariah thought about how much she wanted to go camping some place around here and was tempted to buy a tent just to pitch it out around here and spend the night outside under the stars. The stars are so romantic too.' She almost squealed to herself but remained quiet as she continued to head away from her rock and closer to the castle. The whole time she did this her mint green eyes glimmered in the light, she as just so happy to be able to take daily walks outside seeing as it would kill her to always be cooped up like that.

Having walked for some time, with Peaches pattering along beside him, Tony chose to head out-side. He had, after-all, made his way to the ground floor of the castle. Stepping past the Great Hall, the young wizard moved swiftly through the large doors leading to the grounds. It was a lovely day, not much different than this time of year back home. Allowing his eyes to adjust to the light, Tony placed his hand against his fore-head; scanning the area as he did so. There wasn't too many students around. Blinking, the young boy moved across the grass; pausing as he realised his pet had vanished.

Turning, Tony began to check the ground around him. He wasn't in the mood to stun another student. This time, if his cat was hurt, he would do far worse. Still turning, the second year tried his best to locate his most prised possession. He knew she would come back to him, but he felt it wasn't worth the risk. However, not spotting any small black movements, the young wizard took a deep breath; and headed towards the gardens. He could at least sit in there and not be disturbed by anyone.

Ariah was sort of near the garden by this point and was already not looking forward to heading inside to the castle to study for classes, if only there was something to distract her for just a little bit longer and keep her outdoors. Just as she shook her head at her own thoughts she was surprised to see a cat scurry by her and immediately catch her attention towards it just for the simple fact that Ariah absolutely loved animals and was never able to have her own because of her father's fear of animals that bite. Which still made no sense to Ariah because she had a bunny and those furry balls of fluff could seriously bite just as hard as any cat could, they had nasty claws too. "Oh hi Kitty!" She knew it probably wasn't wild and belonged to one of the students around here, but the poor thing looked lost and a little lonely so she stuck out her hand a little for the small animal to sniff. Ariah had decided by that point she would try and find it's owner before something happened to the cat, it was just so cute that she couldn't leave it out here by itself.

"You are so cute!" The animal had allowed her to pick it up quickly, and within moments she was heading back to the school with the small animal. As she walked with it she occasionally scratched the cat's ears to keep it calm and let it know she meant no harm, she just wanted to find it's owner...and hold it for a little while.

Some privacy would allow the young student to practice a few of the spells he had come to learn during his first year, and several he had read from the second year text-books. It wasn't that he had difficulty in grasping how spells worked, in fact; it was exactly the opposite. Tony could be taught, and perform, basic spells with ease. Learning from a book, and involving a little practical, was no different to learning in a class-room environment. With-out involvement from other students, class-work would be pretty much book based; and alone. That was always the safest option for Tony. Being alone. He felt un-harmed; un-restricted; care-free.

Scuffing his feet across the ground, the young boy moved steadily toward the gardens. Thoughts about climbing various areas flickered through his mind, but so did thoughts of falling; and additional detentions. His enjoyment in exploring, and his in-ability to balance was certainly a miss-matched combination. As he closed the distance to the flowers, which had begun to grow again, the second year caught sight of a young girl ahead of him. What was more attention grabbing though, was the little black ball of fur at her feet. With her white paws; and under-belly, she was slightly distinguished from other dark furred cats in the school. Watching as the girl scooped his cat up, Tony's fingers closed tightly around his wand. Peaches would always be the first to meet other people, and it certainly seemed she had gotten over the attack against her during the previous year. Not content with why the girl would be carrying his cat, Tony's anger rose; and for the first time, emitted from the tip of his wand. His two-wood mix was a perfect blend to calm him down; give him a clear mind; and allow him to resolve situations with-out haste. Today though; today was different. The anger within him had seemingly over-ridden the woods relaxed nature, bringing their true side to light; fuelled by the dragon heart-string bound through-out the core.

Blazing red sparks now cracked from Tony's wand, scattering across the ground beside him. He was not in a good mood.

This has just opened up his wand to realise its true power! :o .. Earlier than I expected, but I'll go with that. :D

Ariah felt comfort arise as she petted the animals soft fur over and over again, it reminded her of the soft bunny that she had waiting at home for her when she returned from school. Hopefully her father didn't forget to feed him this time, everytime he did Sparks tried to run away or eat through his cage and it was always annoying to have to come home too. "I wish I had a cute little kitty like you." Ariah said softly as she carried the cat up to the castle even further, she hated to admit that she sort of wanted to keep the per herself so she could have a cat like she had always wanted. But seeing as she knew it wasn't hers she would do the right thing and return the cat to it's owner, perhaps slowing down in her walking would buy her more time with the furry creature she had come to adore in the few minute's she had known it.

Just as she had gotten sort of close to the castle she noticed a boy was up ahead and his wand was shooting out sparks of blazing red. He looked extremely unhappy and it made Ariah raise an eyebrow, of course the sparks scared her but she was unsure if the boy was just practising for class or if something was going on. "Hey...you okay?" Ariah tightened her grip on the small cat slightly in case the boy was someone who had a thing against animals, she felt herself begin to grow worried and suddenly felt a pit at the bottom of her stomach, should she run from him?

With his eyes fixed upon the girl, Tony thought about putting her down. Peaches would be fine, however, as the Ravenclaw would focus his wand directly at the young girl. To anyone watching the scene, it would appear the young wizard was out for blood. And with the sparks scattering across the ground, who wouldn't be watching. All thoughts where paused momentarily though, as a few words escaped the girl. Still gripping his wand, the second year took a slow breath; his eyes still fixed into hers. At that moment, his pet flailed out slightly as she was squeezed. Wanting nothing more than to show everyone that they should stay away from his cat, Tony began to raise his right arm. A few people where watching now. Too many eyes glued to the young wizard. Too many witnesses. Tony was smarter than most. He could wait.

"You would be holding my cat.". The reason as to why still hadn't entered the young wizard's mind. "Is there a reason for this?". The more he relaxed, the more the dual woods worked their magic. Keeping his blue eyes upon her, Tony felt an air of difference about her. She seemed, at least, nicer than many other students.

Ariah's mint green eyes looked down at the cat when the boy addressed her and said that it was in fact his cat that she was currently holding in her arms. "Oh..your kitty huh?" Her voice was soft but friendly enough that she hoped the boy got the point of her not wanting to be hostel towards him or anything. Blinking for a moment she decided if she should say something else before she decided it would just be best to put the animal down first. Without any hesitation she set the animal down and gave it one last small pat before she stepped back so the cat could go back to it's owner. "Sorry, but I found the kitty and was trying to bring it back to it's owner." She shrugged her shoulders and watched the cat walk back towards the boy, she wished she could have held it a bit longer. No wonder he was so hostel towards her, prolly thought she was trying to steal his cat away from him or something of the sort and that made her feel really bad that she had come across like that to someone. Bringing a tan hand up she used it to push back a strand of her honey blond hair that was blowing around a bit in the gentle breeze.

"I promise I didn't hurt your cat or anything, I just wanted to make sure it didn't get hurt or lost outside all by itself." She smiled softly and shrugged her shoulders, there was much else she could say to defend herself in the situation. Ariah would never steal anything from anyone though, especially not an animal so she hope she could sort of convince the boy that she was innocent in her intentions. "So um...it's all cool now right?" She blinked and gave him a pretty smile that he hoped would convince him that she meant no harm, she didn't want to have to battle this boy because chances are he could probably hurt her pretty badly. Duelling was not Ariah's strong point in magic at all, and the sparks looked so scary from where she was standing.

Having requested a response, Tony received one soon enough. A soft sounding voice had escaped the girl. Maybe she was different. 'It' was most certainly his 'kitty'. Blinking once, the young wizard relaxed his fingers against his wand; which had now ceased its display of anger. Seconds later, the fellow student allowed Peaches to take to the floor. As if she had sensed something wrong, the black and white ball of fur pattered across the grass; and stood behind the young Ravenclaw's legs. Fully aware of her location now, Tony kept his eyes fixed directly on the girl opposite him. Annoyance began to raise as she spoke once more. Tony ignored her. He knew Peaches would come back to him anyway. And why this girl appeared intent on referring to her as a kitty every time caused him to take slow; deep breaths. The shrug of the girl's shoulders told Tony it was time to leave; but he waited. It might be fun to try. Just one more time.

Watching the stray strand of her hair be pushed back in to place, Tony remained silent. It would be the following actions which decided what he would do. Allowing himself to listen, which was not a task often performed, the young boy wondered how much truth the girl was speaking. There. Another shrug. To Tony, that only meant she cared little to what was happening. Past the shoulder movement, however, was what looked to be a soft smile. It was a type of smile that stood out from others. One that would give away the truth. Still holding any words of his own back, the second year listened once again as the girl spoke. Tilting his head ever so slightly, yet almost un-noticeably, Tony gave a look that could hide the truth; as if he had thought of something rather sly. Would all be 'cool'. As he watched her smile again, the young wizard thought it time to respond. "It can all be.. 'cool'.". His voice wasn't filled with cheer; but it wasn't laced with hatred either. So far, no test had been run.

Ariah's brows furrowed slightly as she tried to get whether or not the boy was already annoyed with her presence and wanted her get away from him or if he didn't mind that she was talking to him. So far it seemed like he wasn't too bothered by her. The confusion soon wore off and Ariah was smiling like there wasn't a care in the word again, being bummed out or confused didn't suit her so she chose to avoid feeling like that whenever she could manage. "Can be cool hm? Dude you sound way suspicious there." Ariah let out a gentle laugh that wasn't loud enough for him to thing she was being rude, but one just slight enough to inform him that she was merely kidding around with him. Once she was over her fit of giggles she shifted her feet for a moment before she decided to step a little bit closer towards the boy and his adorable kitty.

"I'm Ariah...er...what's your cat's name?" Ariah would have asked for his but she felt it seemed sort of rude considering they just met and it had kind of looked like she was trying to steal his cat away from him earlier. Ariah's short legs brought her to a halt so she could still remain a distance from the boy but be close enough to see him and the cat more easily, she always felt better talking to someone if she could see their eyes.

Seeing what appeared to be a confused look upon the girl's face, Tony smiled ever so slightly. Her words however, removed the smile from existence. Sounding suspicious was not something the young boy would have called his response. Before he had much time to respond, the sound of laughter brushed across his ears. It had certainly been lacking from his every day activities of late. Not many of the students in the school deserved the young wizard's attention; and barely few of them deserved his time. Re-focusing on the girls, whom had ceased her laughter, Tony saw her shuffle slightly. This moment was the awkward silence, which caused many people to leave. Would she be one of those people.

It seemed as if she wasn't, as the fellow student moved towards him; and proceeded to introduce herself. So far, she had handled everything better than most people, and there was no sign of an attitude. Regardless of the current situation, Tony was certainly not willing to trust another person. Definitely not this soon. 'Ariah'. It was unique. Was the owner the same. Taking in the second part of her introduction, Tony looked at the girl for a second; and then down towards his feet. It was the first time he had broken eye-contact with her. "Peaches.", he responded; before looking up-wards once more. Not having been asked for his own name, the young wizard felt little need to give it.

Ariah softly giggled when the boy had told her the name of the adorable kitty that she had been holding before the boy had showed up and explained that the cat was his. What struck her was that the cat didn't look like it had the peach color anywhere on it's body, then again she never was completely observant like most of the people of her family were so she could be missing the color somewhere. "Peaches is such a cute name. Reminds me of my bunny Sparks." She scratched her cheek shyly when she realize that she was probably being annoying with how many obnoxious things she was saying in front of this boy without even really thinking about what she was saying. Ariah never really had any sort friend or someone she could talk to as a child, well actually...she still didn't have any friends really. It was sad to think about but she tried not to let it show because it would probably make life way less fun for her to live in.

"Soo..then what's your name?" She blinked, her mint green eyes filled with utter curiosity as she asked him the question that moments ago she would have considered to be rude. Somehow she figured her looked like an Adam, or a Peter...wait no.. definitely not a Peter. "Sorry for being so nosy, but your fun to talk to because you don't make fun of me like the other kids." So far she was already deemed as having weird colored eyes, being a blood traitor, and being slightly odd with her strange behaviour and hobbies that she liked to do. Maybe the boy agreed with all those things but just wasn't being vocal about it, and for that she appreciated the quiet and simple nature of him.

With the girl giggling slightly, Tony thought about what he had been saying. Not a single one of his words had held humour, so was she giggling at him. Staring into her green eyes, the young wizard would play this out step by step. He knew from experience that if someone had an issue with him, they wouldn't have been silent about it for so long. Those that hadn't walked away at least. At her next words, Tony could certainly agree to her compliment. It was a nice name, even if it was un-usually chosen. The young Ravenclaw smiled briefly as he was asked for his name. He wouldn't mind sharing it with her now. "My name is Tony.", the young boy responded; before taking another glance to his feet. Peaches remained, pattering around in small circles.

The more the girl spoke, the more she was beginning to remind him slightly of Trinity; in the way that that girl never shut up. Ariah just didn't seem as bad though. It wouldn't be much of a problem for Tony if she wasn't overly annoying. He had, after-all, come to care for and trust his new best friend. Tony snapped his head back to face the girl as she spoke the final few words. People made fun of her. Looking into her eyes, the young wizard attempted to figure out why. Maybe she was too shy; or enjoyed lessons. If she was the target of others, then Tony felt strongly now that she wouldn't be someone to cause issues. "Who makes fun of you?". The Ravenclaw cared little if it was personal. If she was as trust-worthy and caring as she appeared, she was now someone he would look out for. Second year or not, he would end situations that hurt people he knew.

Ariah blinked owlishly and almost laugh out loud once again when the boy had told her his name was none other than Tony, she had been way off in guessing his name and it almost made her wonder if she was losing her touch for guessing people's names. "Tony's such a cute name." Ariah had almost wondered why her parents didn't name any of her brothers by that name because it was a really good name and a lot less weird than their current names were. Ariah was feeling less worried now that the boy seemed to slowly be opening up to her and hadn't said a single mean thing to her yet, which was actually beyond amazing in her view because usually by now the other person pelted her with insults or all sorts because of the way she was.

When Tony ashed Ariah who made fun of her she turned a light shade of red and began to focus on her feet a little, the fact that he even cared at all shocked and slightly worried her that he would go and tell the people that she was going around and talking about them. "Well..there's actually too many to really name, they make fun of me because I'm different, and my eyes look funny. Oh and I get called a Blood traitor a lot." Her shoulders shrugged a little as she tried to refocus her thoughts away from the sad ones she was currently having because she didn't want to bust out crying because she was feeling bad for herself. Ariah knew there was no excuse because she brought in on herself, perhaps if she was more normal she would have more friends. "They tell me if I was more normal like them I'd have friends." Her sadness faded away and soon a small like smile was on her face as she tried to remember of all the reasons she had gotten along without friends just fine for most of her life. On top of this her mother had written to her about her being in an arranged marriage to someone, apparently not even her own parents trusted her enough to allow her to make her own life and find her own friends or lover.
