It wasn't her first time sneaking out, but it was her first time sneaking out at Hogwarts, which made it even more exciting. Getting past the prefects and staff, she made her way out of the castle and onto the grounds. Somehow, she had managed this, and she wasn't exactly sure how.
Crossing the grass, the cresent shaped moon was shining on them as she heard animals far off in the distance. A howl came, and she gave a small shudder, bringing her wand out and drawing her arms in closer around herself. She stopped herself in front of the Forbidden Forest. It was forbidden for a reason, but that's what made it seem so much more tempting. Who wanted to listen to the rules? Rules were made to be broken and let people have fun in Veronica's opinion. She walked forward and then heard a stick crack behind her and she jumped and spun around to see...nothing. "Lumos," she muttered, something that she had heard one of her fellow students say. Her wand lit up as she looked around, actually a little frightened for once.
