Closed The Right Thing

Valerius had decided to escort Aika to the dance, trying to push Margo out of his mind. Part of him somewhere knew his father would approve of anyone- but the life he was going to lead, the expectations, he needed someone who could handle them. He adored Margo, he did, but he worried that the world he lived in would be too much for her- and he couldn't bring himself to hurt her. He would give her the world if he could, but he knew how society acted in his world- they were cold, demanding, harsh. Aika seemed strong enough to handle it. He got dressed, putting on his best smile before moving down to the Great Hall, waiting at the entrance for his date and doing his best to not look for Margo.

Aika wasn't exactly sure anymore, she knew what she was going, she enjoyed Valerius, so she wanted to just have fun with him. She tried not to glance and try to find Silas, she just needed to focus on her date. "Hey there, handsome," she softly offered as she approached Valerius from behind and leaned a little up to press a light kiss on his cheek.

Valerius jumped a little, chuckling and turning to smile at his date. "Right back at you, beautiful," He returned smoothly, offering out his arm. "Shall we?" He asked, meaning to take her in for a dance before they settled in for food and drinks.

Aika giggled when he smoothed everything out and took his hand gently. "Oh definitely, was looking forward to it the whole day," she gave a little nod, keeping a soft smile on her lips. "How was your day?"

Valerius smiled, walking into the Great Hall slowly, guiding her with him. "It's been good, it's nice to see all the roses being delivered." He offered easily. "Have you had a good day?" He asked, returning her question.
