Kelsey Ariyah Boneheart streaked from one end of the Quidditch pitch to the other repeatedly. She was angry. So angry. She hadn't really ever been angry before, sad? Sure, happy? Always, confused? often. but never angry. This was new, definitely new. She sighed and stopped dead in the middle of the pitch, searching around for a stray bludger. The team had been given leave to train on their own when they could, which was good, because Kelsey was often too busy to get to practice. Now she was even distracted. Usually it was by jelly babies, sweets, Ferdi or other things, but it had never been her brother that distracted her. Even now, technically it wasn't her brother distracting her, but instead, it was her mother. Her parents had decided on their most recent holiday, to France, that she wanted them to get along with out each other. The whole speech about how they couldn't stay together forever and blah, blah, blah. Kelsey honestly did not like this emotion, she would much rather be the bubbly, happy-go-lucky girl that she was known for. The apparent "happy pill" supplier of the entire student body. The cruel words did nothing to Kelsey however, she wasn't prejudice against anyone, so she didn't comprehend the rudeness of most others. It was just easier for her to ignore them, engaging them only served to rial them up in most cases. She saw one of the bludger out of the corner of her eye and snaked around to smash it away from her. That was a pretty hard hit. She wished she had been able to hit like that the first game. She might have actually gotten the bludger to where it was supposed to go on occasion. She had always been a fan of the game, but she had never expected to be playing the game. Originally she was just filling space, but it had definitely grown on her.

Turning her attention back to the pitch below her, Kelsey flew towards the ground and hovered inches above it. This reminded her of her first flying lesson at this school. She and Kieran had a blast. Now they wouldn't be together, her mother had said that they were too co-dependent and now Kieran was in Beauxbatons. How was she supposed to see her brother when he was in FRANCE! She supposed that she could write to her brother, but it just wouldn't be the same. Oh this was a horrid emotion. She could see why people preferred to not feel angry. She was trying to calm herself down though, because she did not want to turn into tinkerbell. She didn't like tinkerbell, she never had, even as a child. She didn't know why she specifically didn't like tinkerbell, but she supposed it had something to do with the whole exploding with emotion. Right now however she was beginning to believe her whole ten years of hating on the fairy had been unjustified, especially since she was beginning to feel much the same way herself. Sighing, Kelsey let out a shakey breath and shot up into the air again. She was definitely feeling much better.

<SIZE size="50">Sarah woke up that morning with a slight scowl on her face. It was her fifth year at Hogwarts, and for the first time in those five years she was actually jealous of someone. Little Miss Sunshine, Kelsey Ariyah Boneheart. Ever since Sarah had been a first year and had learned about Prefects, she had dreamed of becoming a Prefect. Being able to boss people around and order the younger students what to do sounded perfect to her. Realistically she knew that it would probably never happen, especially with her school grades, but that still didn't stop her from dreaming. However, during the holidays, when her school letter arrived at the orphanage, without the highly coveted Prefect badge, she could feel that dream shattering into a million pieces. She had spent the rest of the holidays trying to work out who else in her year was better than her, who else had deserved that badge, and she honestly couldn't think of anyone. However, at the Opening Feast, when Sarah saw that girl sitting smugly with the shining badge on her chest, she honestly didn't understand why she wasn't chosen. Kelsey's grades weren't that much better than hers after all. Maybe the Professors had just felt sorry for her? Yes. That would've been it. Those do-gooders would've heard about how Kelsey had been bullied by the other students because of how she always saw the glass as half-full and was just so bloody cheerful all the time, and so would've given her the badge as a way to make her feel better. Well even though it made sense now, it didn't make Sarah feel any better about it whatsoever.

Which was why she was still sulking about it even today. Thankfully it was the weekend, and as she didn't have any classes, or much homework to do, the Hufflepuff fifth year had decided to go to the Quidditch Pitch to practice and vent some of her anger out. Getting changed, and grabbing her Streak, she headed out to the Pitch only to find the source of her anger and jealousy already there. Figures. First she took her badge, and now she took away this too? Sarah's scowl became more pronounced, until her eyes narrowed slightly as she realised that Little Miss Sunshine didn't look too Sunshiney after all. A slight smirk slid on her face as she realised that perhaps she could use this to her advantage. Forcing a fake smile on her face, she walked forward so that she was in Kelsey's view, and cupping her hands around her mouth to be heard, she yelled out 'Mind if I join you?'

Kelsey flew around the pitch a few more times. She had never really gotten into flying before, but these days, it sort of seemed to calm her down, somewhat. She figured it wasn't so much the flying, as the loss of thought and people. When she was up in the air, it was hard to think about people, problems or anything else. She just had to concentrate on the flying and not falling off the broom. Yes, because falling off of the broom, especially from this height would not exactly do her any favours. She would likely break quite a few bones, it wouldn't be pretty that was for sure. She wanted to be a healer when she Graduated, it was why she knew so much about all of this. Healing, she was sure, was just something she had an affinity for, she loved it, she liked the feel of the magic coursing through her when she healed, when she examined. She was pretty good with Potions and Herbology, so why not. She used to go with her Grandmother to St Mungo's all the time, just to be in the vicinity. Her Grandmother believed she had an affinity for it, so why not at least try it? She couldn't remember what Kieran had said he wanted to be, but he was still looking for Dropbears. Kelsey didn't think that they existed, but Kieran, as it appeared, refused to be deterred from his ministrations. Kelsey didn't mind so much anymore though, she missed him too much to be angry or annoyed by it. Maybe at Beauxbatons he would learn the truth, or he would actually find one, then he could show her and they could fangirl over it together. Yeah, that would be real nice. Maybe she could write him a letter when she got back to the common room?

Hearing someone call to her, Kelsey had to grip her broom so as not to fall off. For a while, she had forgotten where she was. She shook her head to knock herself out of it and looked down towards the sound. Flying lower, she noted that it was Sarah Keith, they were on the team together. Also fifth years. She nodded and waved Sarah up. "Sure, come on up Sarah! It's free airspace." She laughed at her own lame joke slightly, it was the worst, but it really wasn't too bad. She smiled slightly at the other Hufflepuff, but it didn't carry its normal spark. "What brings you out here?" She asked, keeping her broom at a hover so she wouldn't fall off. She had only recently learned how to do this, she was a fair flyer, but she was a prodigy or anything. "While you're here, wanna train? I figure you can practice throwing the Quaffle's through the hoops, we could charm some of those dummies?" Then of course, Kelsey would keep the bludgers away from her, after all, she had to get her swing up to scratch. Last years game had been pathetic.
