Casey had long held a special fondness for Obsidian Harbour and he loved returning every year to top up his school supplies. It was a strange feeling to be preparing for his third year, choosing extra classes and maybe even finally playing Quidditch. With Quidditch in mind that would mean Casey would finally be making a purchase in the Quidditch supplies shop, a shop he had often visited and spent a lot of time in when he was at the harbour but he had never bought anything as he had never felt like he had a realistic chance of making the team, there was also a reluctance to represent Slytherin. Growing up he had dreamed of wearing the scarlet robes of the Gryffindor Quidditch team just like his father had. He felt differently going into his third year, he felt more at home in Slytherin and the emerald robes didn't seem so taboo anymore, Slytherin was his house and he wanted to pay the game and represent it, he also had more confidence in his own abilities, he had sent some time on the Quidditch pitches at the school practicing, he would bewitch a Quaffle to fly at him while he flew between the hoops. Casey knew that competition for Keeper would be highly competitive so he decided to branch out and learn to play some other positions, he practiced flying with the Quaffle and taking shots to try out for chaser and he used make shift bludgers to practice for beater.
The day had been very warm which Casey had enjoyed, but after a lot of moving around from shop to shop he had gotten a little hot under the collar so he decided to sit on one of the benches and relax for a few minutes. It took him longer than he was proud of to realize that he was sitting on the same bench he sat on when he met Alison just before his first year. He smiled as he remembered that day and the days they had spent together since. He was looking forward to getting back to school to see her again.
