Luciano was glad to be back in Britain. It was the first time he had been back to his home country since half way through his Third year, when he had been sent to New Zealand. He couldn't say he regretted being expelled and sent away. He had gotten away from his father, all the history he had back at Hogwarts Scotland, and met Abigail Lurken. Though this was an improvement, he still found himself hiding away from everyone.

As he walked slowly down a series of familiar London streets, towards the entrance to the wizarding world, he listened to the voices of passer-by muggles, fretting about little things like the ever-present threat of rain. Luciano had other, more pressing things on his mind, like the risk of seeing old 'friends' and family. He wouldn't know what to say after disappearing suddenly. His father had probably told them that he had died or something, to cover up the shame of having a failure for a son. The familiar anger that he felt whenever his father entered his mind made him walk faster along the cobbled street, almost bumping into several people, not pausing to apologise. Not sure where exactly he was going, he strode through the streets, dodging people, ad skirting large groups.

Sebastian couldn't wait until he could finally take his apparation exam. Although he had tried and successfully apparated before, his grandmother refused to allow him to do it when she was around, and so had forced him to use floo powder to get to London. He hated traveling by that method because no matter how hard he tried, it took hours for the taste of ash to get out of his throat. His only other option was to have his grandmother accompany him, which he definitely didn't want. It was bad enough that he would have to deal with his gran's friend but to have her along as well would have been terrible. He was nearly of age but it didn't seem to matter to his gran who thought he still needed supervision wherever he went.

After withstanding the woman's attempts to squeeze his cheeks and declare how much he'd grown since she'd seen him over the summer, Sebastian was finally free to leave. Stepping out onto the street, he only had a short walk to get to Diagon Alley. Spitting on the ground, Sebastian looked up to see a fairly familiar face. He recalled the boy's English accent and realized that it wasn't so surprising that he would be around here. There weren't very many places where wizards could gather without having to hide who they were. Sebastian's own wand was tucked on the inside of his winter jacket where it couldn't be seen. Increasing his pace, Sebastian tapped the guy on the shoulder. "Hey...Luciano, right?" he said, not really asking because he remembered the guy's name clearly. "What's up? Home for the holidays?" he asked as if the two were friendly even though Luciano hadn't seemed to want company last time they had spoken and likely didn't want any this time either.

Luciano recognised the boys face before he spoke, and ducked his head, hoping the other boy wouldn't see him. He sighed when he was tapped on the shoulder, and turned to face Sebastian. He admired that the guy was still friendly, even though Luciano had thought he'd made it clear that he didn't care about sharing a last name. He gave a small nod in answer to the boys question "Yes, and I was actually about to go meet someone" he said, which was an absolute lie. Hoping that Sebastian would let him carry on down the street, he glanced around quickly, weary of seeing anyone else he knew. Luciano wondered briefly what Sebastian was doing in London, his accent hadn't sounded British when they'd met in Brightstone village.

Sebastian nodded his head as he heard Luciano say that he was going to go meet someone. "Oh" he said, realizing that the guy was giving him a not-so-subtle hint to get lost. "Well, I'm just heading to Diagon alley" he said in a light Boston accent as he continued walking beside Luciano. There was only one way to go from here so it only made sense that he continued walking this way. "Don't worry. I'll get lost once we get there."

Figuring that the walk would be quicker if they made conversation, Sebastian threw around a couple of ideas around in his head. It was hard to come up with a conversation topic considering how antisocial Luciano seemed to be. " You into music?" he asked, figuring that it was a safe enough topic. He loved music and assumed that everyone else must as well.

It seemed that Sebastian had taken the hint, and Luciano slowed his pace slightly as they wove through the crowds towards Diagon alley. He was still glancing around at the passers by, as if one of them would suddenly start shouting at him. You're being paranoid he told himself, shaking the feeling. Even if somebody did recognise him and try something, he could easily defend himself, plus it was unlikely that they'd pull out their wand in a street full of muggles.

Luciano could tell that Sebastian was attempting to make conversation. He wasn't really in the mood for small talk, but it would be a good distraction "Not really, no" he said flatly. The only music he had ever liked had been old muggle stuff, but he didn't really listen to it anymore. He wasn't really into any wizarding bands. The magic all seemed a bit extravagant to him. Music was music. It didn't need sparks shooting out of drum kits, and microphones floating by themselves in mid air.

"Seriously?!" Sebastian exclaimed, "Who's not into music?" He was floored by the idea that there were people who didn't enjoy playing or at least listening to music. It was such a huge part of his own life that he figured it must also be a part in other people's lives as well. He listened to everything and anything, though lately he hadn't really been listening to much muggle music. One of his friends had told him about this wizarding band named Othila and he'd been listening to them a lot lately.

"So...what do you do for fun then?" he asked, quite curious to find out what a person who didn't like music did when they wanted to just relax or something. He also wanted to see if there was anything he had in common with this guy besides their surname. Sebastian still hadn't been able to let go of the fact that there was something more than coincidence involved in Willow having mentioned Luciano and then meeting him.

Luciano shrugged, finding it rather amusing at how closed-minded some people could be. He hated when people automatically wrote others off because they didn't share the same hobbies. It didn't seem that Sebastian had done this however, but Luciano was still amused at how surprised he was "Actually I hate music" he said lightly. That statement was untrue, but he wanted see how far he could wind the guy up.

Luciano sighed inwardly at his next question, but he really had to think about it. He didn't really do much for fun anymore. When he was younger he had played football, and also hung out with his friends. But after his expulsion, and coming to Hogwarts New Zealand, his life had become a monotonous routine "Nothing" he said flatly, hoping to put Sebastian off the subject.

"You're not serious, right?" Sebastian asked, turning his head sharply towards Luciano. He nearly banged into a muggle rushing in the opposite direction. Sidestepping the man, Sebastian looked to see if Luciano was giving any hint of joking around. Surely he couldn't be serious because no one truly hated music.

His shock increased when Luciano admitted he did nothing for fun. A scowl crossed Sebastian's face as he realized a second later that Luciano really didn't want his company. That had to be the explanation for his lack of engagement in the conversation. Well, Sebastian knew better than to force his company on anyone. He looked ahead to see exactly how much farther they had to go before they would part. "Man...you need some hobbies then" Sebastian commented, shaking his head.

Luciano raised his eyebrows slightly, to indicate that he was joking. He didn't think that it was really possible for somebody to 'hate' music. Just dislike different types, like he wasn't fond of wizarding music. "It's just not the joy in my life, that's all" he said briefly. He shook his head, before running his hand through his hair, a little exasperated. He had thought that he would be bored out of his mind walking with Sebastian, but he wasn't really that bothered about it. It was actually quite amusing.

Luciano glanced quickly at Sebastian's face, and could immediatly tell by his scowl that he had got the messgae of wanting to be left alone. At the moment however, Luciano didn't mind his company. "I'm fine actually" he said in reply, his English accent prominent. It was true, he didn't really mind being dull.

Sebastian's eyebrow lifted as Luciano said he was fine. With being boring? Sebastian questioned silently though he didn't voice any of this. If Luciano wanted to be that way, it was his life and Sebastian didn't really care. It wasn't as if he were friends with Luciano or anything. The boy had made it fairly clear that he didn't care for company.

"So who're you meeting up with?" he asked, figuring that he had nothing to lose with the question. If Luciano didn't want to answer it, he had the feeling the boy wouldn't mind telling him to keep out of his business. And, if he did answer, then perhaps it would give them something to talk about as they took the final steps toward the alley.

William had been in Diagon Alley briefly, to settle a business deal. It was not at the top of his mind however. He hadn't heard from his son since he had gone to New Zealand. Did his son really find it that easy to dismiss the fact that he had a father? William had had high hopes for his intelligent son, but he had ruined it by not showing any interest in the business's that William owned, and getting expelled. In William's mind he was a disgrace, but he still did wonder why Luciano made no contact.

Exiting through the Leaky Cauldron, he decided to walk around muggle London for a while, and go to his favourite cafe. It was then, coming down the steps of the Leaky Cauldron that he saw them. The first one his son, taller and older looking, and second- No, that couldn't be right. He began to walk purposefully towards the two teenage boys "Luciano" he said formerly, offering his hand "You should have told me you were visiting London" he said, sounding to an outsider as though he was just engaging in a polite and friendly conversation. But his eyes were cold, staring directly at his son, who hadn't even bothered to tell him that he was coming to London. He glanced at the other boy, and was again startled by the resemblance to...

Luciano was about to reply, when he stopped in his tracks. The person he least wanted to see was walking straight towards. He had been worried about seeing hostile old students from Hogwarts Scotland, but this was much worse. He had half a mind to turn away and pretend he hadn't seen his father, but it was obvious that this meeting would be unavoidable. He stared unblinkingly into his father's face, which was more lined then when he had last seen him.

He said nothing when his father greeted him, and took his hand, shaking it briefly, making an effort not to flinch "I didn't actually know that I would be coming" he said coldly, returning his father's gaze "I'm going back to New Zealand straight away" he added "You see, your brother enjoys having me in the house" he said. Unlike you he thought bitterly. He glanced sideways at Sebastian "This is Sebastian" he said briefly, not elaborating.

As he waited for Luciano's reply, Sebastian glanced next to him as he realized that the boy had simply stopped walking. It was an odd thing to do, so Sebastian looked around to see why he had done so. Noticing a man walking towards them, Sebastian stood around warily, wondering if he should leave or if he should stick around. Unable to leave Luciano with some strange older man, Sebastian decided to stay and listened, his pierced eyebrow quirked up.

It seemed that the older man and boy knew each other, though they were oddly formal around each other. Sebastian realized that Luciano must not hate him because the tone he was giving this man was ten times the tone he'd had with Sebastian as they'd walked earlier. It was obvious to him that this was not who he had been planning to meet.

Sebastian had never seen the man before, but he noticed that the man gave him an odd glance before Luciano introduced him. Glancing up at the taller man, Sebastian allowed his green eyes to fully take in the man's face. He held out his hand slowly, wondering why he felt so apprehensive about doing so. It was probably because of how Luciano, who was far from a friend but was the only one of the two he knew anything about, was acting. "Nice to meet ya" he mumbled though he wasn't sure if that were so, his Boston accent coming through lightly.

William's eyes narrowed slightly as the cold reception from his son. His gaze lingered on Luciano "Ah, what a shame" he said, his voice deadly smooth "Well then, I'm glad I caught you" he said, making the effort to seem more friendly "It's not everyday you get to see your son is it?" Luciano's next words evaporated all of the fake friendlyness, and William's face turned cold again. He couldn't believe that his son would be so openly rude. Had he taught him nothing? "Well, it seems that he hasn't done much for your manners now, does it?" he said rather sharply, his eyes still fixed unblinkingly on his son. His gaze flicked sideways when the other boy spoke. An American. "Pleasure" he said, holding out his hand. The boys face was so startlingly familiar that he continued to stare at him for a moments.

Sebastian could feel the discomfort in the air as he realized that father and son did not get along. In fact, it seemed as if they hadn't seen each other in a while. Shaking the older gentleman's hand, Sebastian looked away from the man's face, uncomfortable by the look he was being given. The man was staring at him as if he were trying to remember something. What it was though Sebastian had no clue. He barely knew Luciano and had certainly never met Luciano's father before.

As he pulled his hand out of the man's grip, Sebastian touched the earring in his left ear and twisted it nervously before dropping his hands back into his pocket. "Well...it was nice to meet you Mr. Rossi, but I think I probably should be going. " He glanced at Luciano, giving him a look of sympathy. He had the feeling that Luciano would be anything but happy with him for leaving, but he didn't know what else to do.
