The Memorable Days

[Ethan Bridge]

It was already cold in United Kingdom as Ethan was packing his things and keep in his bag, together with his wife, Beatrice and in the other bedroom, his daughter, Mariana. He was wearing a gray sweater that was knitted by Beatrice and a black coat. He opened the door and let Beatrice first to go out and saw Mariana was perfectly finished just as he opened the door. She was carrying her pink bagpack and light-blue suitcase. The three were both excited to go to Paris.

The Bridges' car was covered by plenty of Canadian leaves that fall from the trees. Ethan took off the leaves on his car and opened the car's door and he let Mariana to go inside, noticing that she keep the leaf from her pocket and Ethan smiled at her. then he opened the other door on the front sit and he let Beatrice to go inside. He was the last one to enter. As he was about to start his car's engine, he was delighted to see the leaves falling from the trees. He suddenly remebered, how he and Beatrice met when they were in first year and his twins and Mariana played with him and Beatrice last August (last year).

Leaves were falling as the three Bridges were packing their things. They were going to Paris and that was Ethan's plan. Beatrice was wearing her red cardigan which was Ethan's birthday gift for her.

Their car was covered by the Canadian leaves. She suddenly saw Mariana was holding a leaf in her right hand and keep it on her pocket. Beatrice just smiled at her until Ethan opened the car for Mariana and next her. As Ethan was starting his engine, he suddenly delighted and Beatrice smiled at her and said in a very sweet pleasant voice, "What was that, Ethan?" Beatrice asked her.

Mariana can't stop looking at photos of her together with her elder twins, Edward and Laura. Wishing they were included on their trip to Paris. She everytime locked herself in her bedroom and just watching television. Listening to musics wasn't her hobby perhaps, she was only nine. Sometimes, she read some books and just go down stairs if she needed some help for her homework to her mom, Beatrice and dad, Ethan. Just as she finished packing, she opened the door just as she saw her mom in front of the door and saw her dad who opened it for her mother.

Mariana felt happy when she saw the Canadian leaves falling from the trees. While her dad was taking the leaves off from their car, she took one and keep it from her pocket, leaves were her collections and no one will stop her from picking every kind of it that placed on a floor, Mariana would never pick leaves from a bush nor a flower. Her mom and dad saw her and smiled, she smiled back. In the car, Mariana was looking outside the windows. She was lonely. Yes, she was excited but how can she feel happy if Edward and Laura wasn't their with them?

Ethan smiled as he remembered those days. He was planning again that once his twins get back from school, they were going to Italy or somewhere. Just as he started his engine, Beatrice asked her in a very sweet voice. "Oh, just remembered the days when we were all together." he said, smiling. The car was ready and he started to drive.

It was a beautiful day for the Bridges' out of town day. Beatrice was sure that Ethan was really excited, she was sure of it and smiled after he replied to her question. She suddenly looked back at the backseat. Seeing Mariana looking outside the windows, she was sad. Wondering what made her feel lonely in this beautiful day.

Mariana just sits quietly in the car. She was really lonely while looking outside the windows. She took a deep breath and suddenly, she took off her eyes on it and looked down. Feeling that she's not on a good mood.

 

[Ethan Bridge]

Ethan smiled back just as Beatrice smiled at him. He knew that his wife loves on what he have said. He reached the very highway of Forkswilliam, luckily, it wasn't traffic. While he was driving, he noticed Beatrice looked back at the backseat. Ethan looked at the mirror above his front window, he saw Mariana wasn't happy at all. "Mariana?" he called his daughter.

Beatrice was looking at Mariana, she suddenly reached her hand and touched it. Just as she touched it, Ethan called Mariana. She was sure that Mariana was Edward and Laura. "What is it Mariana?" she asked.

Marian who was sitting at the backseat was looking at the window with her lonely face. She really misses te twins. Just as she was thinking about them, her father was calling her but it seems, Mariana didn't hear him. When her mother touched her hand Marian looked at her and looked at the front mirror, her father was looking at her too. "Nothing... I just miss Edward and Laura so much..." she said sadly.

Ethan looked at the front mirror. "But daddy and mommy's here." he said, "We're here to make you happy." he added, hoping Mariana could just give up a smile. Just as he was driving, he remembered his another son, Vlad, the eldest among the three, was studying at Durmstrang. Wish he was here too... he said to himself. He looked to the mirror again as they were already gone far in Beckingham. "You know what, your brother Vlad was in Paris today and he has a surprise for you." he told Mariana, smiling while driving along the way.
