Open after Marijke posts with Eloise

After the scouts meeting, Emery sat on a bench near the scout building waiting for his mum to pick him up. The meeting had been alright, though Emery always felt a little tired and cranky after hanging out with other kids for so long. Especially the younger ones got pretty exhausting. Though at least his sister hadn't joined scouts, that was one good thing. Emery looked up at the sky, it was a pretty purple color with the sun slowly going down. He yawned, tapping his feet impatiently. He hoped his mum would show up soon, he was pretty bored.

Eloise still had a difficult time trying to figure out why her parents had made her join the scouts in the first place. She figured it was mostly her father's doing, that he wanted her to have a chance to go out and get dirty without it being frowned upon. He had likely sold it to her mother by emphasizing how good of an opportunity it would be for her to make friends as well. The only problem was that she didn't know how to do that. She knew how to be polite and follow the rules but always doing what her parents asked of her had left her with very little room to explore things she liked. Her mother was supposed to pick her up today and had already informed Eloise beforehand that she might run late, something that wasn't uncommon. Deciding she wasn't going to stand around she made her way over to a bench one of the other scouts was sat upon, sitting right down next to him and offering him a polite smile in greeting. "Hi, your parents not here yet either?"
