The last rose

[Professor James Cade]

James had one final rose to deliver before he retreated to the Gryffindor common for the day. It was for a first year Ravenclaw girl, he had never met her before but was told he would recognise her by her birds nest like hair. He didn't realise how true that was until he spotted who he believed to be the girl sat at the Ravenclaw table. "Margo?" He asked approaching the girl with a final yellow rose in his hand.

Margo was eating her dinner in silence, pretending to read the Daily Prophet so that she didn't look like a complete loser for not talking to anybody. The truth was, she still hadn't made any friends in Ravenclaw, and with her name still in the mud for helping distribute Odette's flyers, it didn't look as if she were ever going to. Suddenly somebody was saying her name. "H-hello?" she said. This couldn't be a second rose, could it? No - nobody else in the entire school liked her.

The girl didn't question the fact he addressed her as Margo so he assumed he had the right person. "Hi Margo, I'm James and I have a rose for you," He smiled at her and pulled out a yellow rose and handed it to her. "Oh, it comes with a note too," James added digging the note out and handing it to her.
