It was Christmas morning. This was going to be the first Christmas morning of Miriah's life with her boyfriend Aiden and not with her family. Most people would have a hard time at coping with this but she was actually happy to be out of that school and out on her own. Miriah had a job on a professional Quidditch Team and even though it was a tough job and she was constantly sore because of it, she loved playing the sport and she loved the fanbase that always shouted her name during their games. But most importantly she loved that her boyfriend was on the same team as she was because it meant that they didn't have to be separated from one another all the time. They had the same days off, they were able to work on the same days, and it meant that she could keep a good eye on him to make sure the loser didn't hurt himself. He had a tendency to do stupid things at times and she worried that one of these days he was going to dig himself into a hole and she was going to have to dig his sorry as back up. Which she honestly would do too. She'd dig all the way to China if she had too and she wasn't feeling like she had been hit by a bus like she was lately. Which she blamed on practice and the rough hits she had been taking for awhile. Luckily there was a long break due the Holidays. Possibly even longer if things worked out the way they were for her, but if that was the way it was going to be then so be it. At the moment she could care less because she had a hundred other things to worry about. Right now, Christmas was the biggest on her list. Even though she never really let people see it. Christmas had always been one of her favorite Holidays and she tried to celebrate it to the best of her ability. This year she intended for it to be the best and most epic Christmas ever. This was her first house, her first boyfriend, first year out of school in a long time, and she had the most amazing present for Aiden ever. It was one she had just recently found too and the moment she was able to get it, she knew he was going to love it. He would never expect it either. That's why this Christmas was going to be the most exciting that she ever had. The look on his face once he opened it. It would be literally priceless. Now if only the loser would actually wake up so they could get to opening presents and everything.

Waking into the bedroom with a bowl of cereal in her hands, Miriah stared at her boyfriend whom was still sleeping like a lazy cow. As much as she adored him and how cute he looked when he was sleeping, she just had to wake him up in order to have her fun. With the bowl of cereal still in her hands she lifted a leg and nudged Aiden's back with her foot a few times. "Aiden, get up!" She nudged him with her foot a few more times and when he didn't budge she sighed and headed out of the room. Fifteen minute's later she returned with a bowl of vanilla yogurt, granola, and banana slices. She was hungry this morning and the fact that Aiden wasn't up yet was making her antsy. This time she use her free hand to shake him softly. It still wasn't working though and she was starting to get a little annoyed with him. Liking him or not he was messing with her Christmas and for that he was going to suffer if he didn't get his ass out of bed soon. When he didn't awake with her shaking him she stomped out of the room. Not any longer than fifteen minute's later she returned again, this time she was finishing up a piece of toast. Once she swallowed the last piece her pale hands took a hold of the covers that were covering him and yanked them off before throwing the blanket on the ground a large heap. Then she took a hold of his leg and promptly pulled him from the bed. "Aiden! It's Christmas morning and I really want to open presents. Get up! I will totally drag you into the living room if I have to." Miriah hopped up and down softly. Hopefully taking his covers away and pulling him from the bed was enough to wake him so she didn't have to leave and try something else. Miriah was actually full now so she didn't want to be tempted with more food either.

To Aiden, the break from Quidditch practice couldn’t have come sooner. It was now winter time in Europe and as such the temperatures were reaching an all time low and getting hit by bludgers were starting to hurt a little more than usual and while he was more than used to the pain after playing at Durmstrang it was taking a while to get used to the cold again as he had become accustomed to the weather in New Zealand. Although for now he didn’t have to worry about it as he was on a break which meant staying in his nice warm flat and not having a care in the world. Something else that he to look forward too was spending as much time as he wanted with his girlfriend, Miriah. He still found it hard to believe at times that Miriah was with someone like him, considering even more so how he had treated her in the past. They had known each other for years and if someone had told him that he would have ended up dating the very bookworm that he used to enjoy teasing the living daylights out off and living with her as well – well he would have called them crazy, mad, loco; anything that would come to his head. Although Aiden knew that he was silly and immature when he bullied Miriah and it was only a matter of time before he gave into his real emotions. It may not have looked well for his tough man image to seem like the emotional type but he honestly didn’t care. Miriah was important to him and he cared a lot for her and he would punch the living daylights out of anyone who made fun of him because of that. She was the one that was there for him when he was at the lowest point in his life and was more grateful than words could have expressed and even though after that their relationship hit the hardest point it was all long forgotten. For now the two were out of school, living together and still annoying the hell out of each other when they got the chance. The best thing, though, was that they both had the same job as Professional Quidditch Players for The Vratsa Vultures. It had always been a dream of Aiden’s to play professional Quidditch and when he got an offer from The Vratsa Vultures he was over the moon with joy, when he found out that Miriah had also gotten accepted from by the same team he actually couldn’t believe the luck. Playing with Miriah had been great, it allowed him to be able to protect her even when they were at work and to him that was one of the most important things. Also having the same work schedule was great for them to be able to spend time together at home and have some fun off the pitch; one would think that being pushed to his limits everyday would have left him too tired and sore for such fun but not to Aiden – he was always up for a bit of fun.

With it being the holidays Aiden had spent some of his time off visiting Giselle and her new family, who were really nice and it was good to see that she was finally beginning to settle a bit with them – actually going home for the holidays was a good start. He was just thankful that they were nice people and let him come visit and even let Giselle stay over; although the young Gyffindor girl wasn’t as keen on staying over when Miriah was in, for some reason she hadn’t taken a liking to his girlfriend yet. No matter, he knew that it would take some time for the young girl to get used to someone being in Aiden’s life that could possibly be a threat to her but he knew that he loved Giselle to never let that happen, she just had to figure it out herself. After exchanging gifts with Giselle and visiting other family members over the past few days Aiden was looking forward to having Christmas Day with just him and Miriah for them to do whatever the hell they wanted. Being his first Christmas was his girlfriend he wanted it to be special and he had gone all out with the decorations and let Miriah have whatever she wanted to make it special for her. He had even spent a fair bit of money on getting presents for her but money was no object to him and he didn’t care; he just hoped that she liked them all. Aiden had become a bit of a heavy sleeper as of late it took a lot to wake him up. His body was starting to enjoy the rest that he had gotten over the past few days after all of the practice that he had had from the Quidditch Games and practices. So, obviously, he was completely oblivious to his girlfriend’s attempts of trying to wake him up. Eventually he felt the great chill all over his body, taking to only sleeping in his boxers with no bed covers over him he soon woke up. Feeling a tugging at his feet he sat up, still quite groggy from being woken so abruptly. “A-who-what….who died?” he asked in a confused voice, thinking that that was the only reason worth been woken in such a way. Hearing Miriah’s words he rolled his eyes and buried his head into his pillow. “Good morning to you too.” He muffled voice said through stifling a yawn.

Well she had succeeded in getting him awake at least. But the loser wasn't exactly out of bed or anything like she had been aiming at for the past half hour or so. She didn't even respond to his good morning but when he buried his head back into his pillow she rolled her red eyes and crossed her arm over her chest. He was being such a pain in the ass and it was still early too! "Ugh Aiden come on, I'm not kidding! Get up!" She nudged him again with her hand this time. He was so lazy sometimes that she wondered how he ever got anything done that needed to be done. He was always like this too so it wasn't like this was a one time thing and it was Christmas so he should be allowed. Besides, everyone knows that Christmas was so not the day to expect anyone to sleep in. People would be really lucky if they were even allowed to sleep past eight on this day, and it was almost ten in the morning so the brunette felt that Aiden had plenty of time to sleep and he had to get up now or suffer the consequences. Miriah had even gone to be earlier so he wouldn't be tempted to stay up and waste the night away doing other things, so he had no excuse for being tired. He was just being lazy. Her hands softly shook him again as she tried to pull or nudge him out of bed. Too bad he was heavy as hell to her. Otherwise her threat of dragging him into the living room would have been all to easy to comply with. But since she couldn't carry it out that meant she would just have to torture him until he got out of bed and came with her to open presents. Plus there was the overly large stockings that contained candy and goodies of all sorts within them, her stomach growled and Miriah reveled in the fact that she still happened to be hungry after all the food she had eaten this morning. At least all of the food she was eating would go to a good cause...or something. Or just make her severely obese in future years to come. Aiden still wasn't up either. Maybe if she grabbed everything and brought it in here he'd wake up. Oh but then there would be no christmas tree and warm fireplace. There was no substitutions. He had to get up one way or another. "Aiden Mauven if you don't get your lazy butt up your going to be really sorry and lonely tonight. Get. Up." She whispered in his ear before she flicked him upside the head and headed into the kitchen. No she wasn't getting food but she was going to get something she knew would wake that boy up. Her feet carried her in and out in less than five minute's and when she returned she had a handful of ice with her. Despite the fact that she almost felt bad for him, it was for his own good. Her lips curled into a cruel smirk.

Without further hesitation, Miriah took the handful of ice, leaned over Aiden, and deposited all six of the ice cubes down his pants. Yep. She stuck ice down her boyfriend's pants. "Merry Christmas, Hun." That'll teach him to not get up when she told him too. While waiting for his reaction to unfold Miriah slunk back out into the living room to make sure that the fire was actually going on downstairs and hadn't gone out cause otherwise it would be cold and she didn't want to search for a hoodie or cardigan to keep her warm. Once she checked to make sure it was still going she returned upstairs and awaited some form or reaction from Aiden. Hopefully he wasn't one of those people that could stand the feeling of ice against bare skin. Some oddballs out there could seriously do that. Once he was up she was going to force him out of the bed and downstairs by that damn tree.

Aiden wasn’t like many other people in that once he was awake that was him awake and he couldn’t go back to sleep, oh no – not Aiden Mauven. Ever since he was a baby if he ws tired enough he would sleep with little to no bother. He was told that his mother used to find no hassle getting him to sleep like parents would with most babies. Aiden was an exception and this had remained with him through to his young adulthood. It was a bit harder for him to get back to sleep right now and he wasn’t sure why, he had contemplated that it was to do with his girlfriend’s constant nagging in his ear to get up. He cared for Miriah more than anything but he couldn’t help but think how annoying she was at times – then again he had bullied her for quite a few years so it wasn’t completely new to him; it was a good thing that he liked her, nagging and all. With a shiver finding its way up his spine he soon figured that he couldn’t get back to sleep because of the lack of bed clothes covering him right now. “Yeah, yeah, just another five minutes.” he said lazily through another yawn as he summoned the blanket up over him again, his head buried deep in the pillow again as his eye lids covered those sapphire orbs of his. Breathing softly he found his mind going into overdrive, the way it would always do when he was woken out of a good sleep when he wasn’t ready to get up just yet. He couldn’t understand why Miriah was so eager to get up this morning, normally having lazy mornings on their time off was something that, he thought, she enjoyed – so why not today? Being half asleep right now it took Aiden a few moments to remember that it was Christmas morning, luckily this wasn’t the first time that he was aware of Christmas or it could have been a rather, unpleasant experience with Miriah. For a boyfriend to forget about the first Christmas they were to spend together was as good as relationship suicide. Although Aiden soon relaxed again as he knew that his presents for Miriah was stored safely under the tree that they had set up in the living room. Aiden had never been one to make a big fuss over Christmas ever since his mother had died. He didn’t let it show though as he wanted to keep a brave face for Giselle who was still young at the time. Although with not spending Christmas with Giselle last year he didn’t think it would be such a big deal this year – but he hadn’t taken into consideration the fact that he might have a girlfriend with whom he lived, especially if that girlfriend Miriah. Many things had changed that Aiden had never expected but one thing that hadn’t changed was his uncanny good luck when it came to choosing presents for people. He didn’t know what it was but he had always been able to pick out presents for people, knowing that they would like them. Sometimes they were serious presents, or something that the people really liked, although with Aiden being Aiden he had always been able to pick out presents that people could get a good laugh out of. Actually his speciality was ‘gag’ presents and this year would be no exception. He was quite looking forward to seeing the look on Miriah’s face later when she opened her presents. With the excitement of the prospect of seeing Miriah’s reaction to her present Aiden was awake now but felt like tormenting his girlfriend a little bit more and remained still as if he were still asleep. Even when she threatened him with being alone that night – something he was sure she wouldn’t be able to keep too. He smirked slightly when she slapped him but still gave no reaction.

When she left the room Aiden let out a soft chuckle into his pillow and considered getting up and going after her but decided to enjoy the warm bed for a few more minutes. Although it didn’t take long for Aiden to regret staying in bed and not getting up to get dressed for when his girlfriend returned she had brought a little surprise with her. Yelping loud enough to wake the neighbours if they had any within hearing distance he jumped up, throwing the covers away and quickly deposited the ice cubes out of his pants. Glaring playful at Miriah he smirked and ran after her, pouncing so he could wrap her arms around her. “You’re going to regret that, hun!” He said as he picked her up and spun her around for a small moment. Setting her down he released her and while he turned to walk down the corridor again to their room so he could get changed he slapped his girlfriend lightly on the ass and continued towards his bedroom. Once he got changed into something comfy he went to find Miriah. “Merry Christmas, baby.” he said, embracing her in a more loving manner and kissing her on top of her head – figuring that now they’ve had their fun they could relax a bit more and enjoy the day for what it was.

Miriah smirked and watched in the doorway as her boyfriend yelped and more quickly than she had ever imagined, got out of bed and got all of the ice cubes out of his pants. She knew right away that it would get him out of bed because that boy hated being cold when he was trying to sleep. Almost everyone did and thanks to all the reading that Miriah did when she was back in school she knew that. But once he got all of the ice out of his pants she tried to make a break for it so he couldn't get her back or anything, but she didn't get very hard because he ran after her. And with his legs being much longer and his stomach not filled with food, he was able to catch her very easily. Miriah squeaked out in surprise when he picked her up and spun her around for a small moment. Because of all the food she had eaten these morning lurched in her stomach. "Ugh, I'm regretting it already." She rubbed her stomach in an attempt to settle it down a little. Way too much food had been eaten this morning and she blamed it all on Aiden. If the loser had just gotten out of bed like she had asked him the first time then she wouldn't have gotten annoyed and had the desire to eat all that food. Miriah was set back down and she stared up at him just in time to feel him slap her ass. Another squeak left her and she glared at Aiden, picking up a slipper she hurled it at him as he went to get changed in the bedroom. "We will have none of that this morning." Miriah rubbed her butt and rolled her eyes and went back to the kitchen for a moment to do the few dishes that she had dirtied up before Aiden got all dressed and they went downstairs to open the presents and stuff. It took only a few minute's thanks to good ol magic before she got them washed and dried and put away. That should save less work for later because she figured that the way Aiden was, nothing would get done later. Not that she minded most of the time anyways. It was just when she was really tired or moody that she did mind it. That man sure knew how to be persistent when he wanted be. That was usually when she just pretend to either already be asleep or she actually got mad at him at tried to challenge him back, and she sometimes lost when it came to that. Needless to say back when her and Aiden were fighting in school she never would have imagined herself dating Aiden and sleeping with him on a regular basis as well. Just as Miriah was returning from the kitchen she smiled when she saw Aiden. He embraced her, greeted her with a christmas greeting and kissed the top of her head. Now these were the moments she liked. Well that and when her and Aiden were having their playful arguments. Those always got fun. Smiling softly against Aiden she hoped he was now willing to stay out of bed. "Merry Christmas to you too." She breathed out as she let her hands drop down to his wrists. Miriah softly kissed Aiden's jaw before she broke from the embrace and grinned, her hand was still on his wrist as well. Whether her liked it or not she was going to bring him downstairs so they could open their presents. She had a surprise for him that she really wanted him to open too.

"Come on, were opening Christmas Presents now." Miriah grabbed a hold of Aiden's hand and started to pull him towards the living room where the Christmas tree sat, in all it's glory. Miriah found it to be a little nostalgic for her, back when she was little and her and Hadan had so many less worries than they did now. Miriah let go of Aiden's wrist and went over to the couch to retrieve a pile of cushions from it before she threw them on the floor right near the tree. Then she went and got her stocking filled to the brim with Christmas candy and finally sat down on the cushions. She pat one of them that was right next to her and popped out a piece of candy and stuck it in her mouth. It took a minute but she was able to easily locate all of the presents that she had been searching for that were Aiden's from her. There was seven of them all together. Miriah set all seven of them down but made sure to set one of them a but of the way back. The other six Presents could be opened in any order though, she just wanted to make sure he opened the seventh one last for special reasons. "These seven are from me, but you'll have to wait until you open the other six before you open the last one. I hope you like them all though." The last present was actually the most important because it happened to be an ultrasound. Just a couple of weeks ago Miriah had found out that she was well, going to have a baby. Which ironically was what pretty much brought them together in the first place. But he didn't know yet so the moment he did he would know that his future was going to be filled with a child. Whether he and Miriah stayed together or not.

Before Aiden returned to his room to get changed he saw a slight look of unease on his girlfriends face and was worried for a moment until he heard what she had to say next. In actual fact he didn’t have to hear her say anything as the throwing of her slipper was enough to let him know that she was her usual self. Luckily he was able to jump into the bedroom just in time to avoid the slipper from hitting him. He couldn’t help but laugh wholeheartedly at his girlfriend; he loved when she was feisty, even in the slightest. Although when he knew that her words meant nothing by which she was trying to be serious and make Aiden think she had her own way when really that wasn’t the case, or that he could easily make her change her mind – well it just made things even more better. We will have none of that this morning! she said, Makes a change from every other morning! said Aiden to himself as he ducked his head out of the bedroom door to watch his girlfriend walking away, rubbing her ass – he didn’t even hit her that hard, or so he told himself as he rolled his eyes and walked back into the bedroom to get ready so he could join Miriah downstairs quickly before she started to freak out a bit more. Aiden still couldn’t get over the fact now that when he and Miriah fought it would usually end up in the two making up by ending up in bed together. When back in the day when the two were just enemies the thought of that being the case would be so unrealistic it would almost be laughable. Although now it was the case and the two had grown up and past those silly days of their youth, that’s the only way Aiden saw the two making up after a fight...or at anytime really. They didn’t necessarily have to fight before hand, sometimes it was nice when it just happened although there was something appealing about the adrenaline that would be running through his body before the act when they had a fight, it made the whole experience so much more thrilling and more enjoyable that it would usually be. For now Aiden digressed and continued to get ready. Sitting on the bed he sighed as he noticed the time. This was not a time that he wanted to be up on one of his rare days off. Alas he was up now and after his rude awaking there was no going back to sleep now. He hated being cold when he was trying to sleep, he wished that Miriah didn’t know that small fact all too well or she wouldn’t have pulled the blankets off of him and put ice down his boxers. It was a low act to pull but he had to give his girlfriend credit where credit was due – she knew what she wanted and when she knew what she wanted she made sure she got it. It was one of the those things that made Aiden go crazy for the red eyed beauty that was his girlfriend, she was so determined and when she got fiery over things that she wanted, it just drove him crazy. Sighing he got up of his comfy bed and a made his way to Miriah.

Even though he didn’t particularly want to be up relaxing beside the big open fire while the snow covered the grounds and everything that the eye could see – well it made it all worthwhile. Aiden had always had the tough guy exterior but one of the things he enjoyed about his relationship with Miriah was that he didn’t have to keep that up around her. She was one of the very few people to ever see him cry and ever since then he knew that he could be himself, in whatever state, around her. Right now he was quite the caring and gentle boyfriend as he embraced Miriah, just enjoying the stillness of everything and just being with her – it was bliss. Although the moment was soon broke when Miriah released herself from the embrace and grabbed a hold of Aiden’s hand and started to pull him towards the living room where the Christmas tree was. Aiden still didn’t really get why having a Christmas tree was so important to Miriah but it was important to her so he let her have it. Laughing as she let him know that they were opening the Christmas presents now, she was very demanding this morning. If he didn’t know Miriah like he did and how she got when there was sweets to be had and presents to open – he would have thought something was up. Fixing the cushions that Miriah threw over near the tree he sat down beside his girlfriend and got comfy before shaking his head softly as he saw his girlfriend digging into the stocking of sweets already – at least he knew one of her presents wouldn’t go to waste. As Miriah started to gather all of the presents had had gotten for her, he did the same and started to gather the presents that he had gotten for her. He set them out in an order that he felt was appropriate for her to open; starting with the slightly joke-y presents and working its way through the more sentimental presents and presents that she would like – clearly the sweets would go down a treat and the raven cuddly toy, knowing that a raven was her favourite animal. He particularly hoped that she liked her last present, it took him a while to find the perfect necklace for her and when he saw this he knew he had to get it for Miriah, the ruby pendant reminding him of her eyes. The two had gathered all the presents around the same time. He was surprised that they had got each other the same amount of presents, or so he thought. She mentioned that she had gotten him seven but he could only see six. Looking over them for a moment he saw a small, flat one at the back and for a moment felt bad that she had gotten him more than he got her but he hoped that Miriah wouldn’t mind and it would be a case of quality was better than quantity. “I’m sure I’ll love them baby.” he said, leaning forward to kiss her softly on the cheek. “And these are for you. Enjoy!” he said beaming, a glint of mischievousness in his eyes as he thought of the first few presents and hoped that Miriah wouldn’t beat him too hard for them. Although he wasn’t lying, even if Miriah didn’t like them, he would at least enjoy them.

At that Aiden started to open his presents while he carefully kept an eye on the expressions on Miriah’s face so he could see how she reacted to her presents. He had to admit he was very surprised at some of the presents that Miriah had gotten him and couldn’t help but laugh at a few of them. Oh how he had underestimated his girlfriend. Some of the presents though he really loved, the new beaters bat in particular was going to come in extremely handy as he was sure that his own was starting to chip and loose it’s strength – something normal with beaters bats that got used for as long as Aiden had been using his. Once he had gone through all of his presents he reached out for the one which Miriah had specifically told him to wait until the end to open. He eyed her curiously, wondering what it was and why he had to wait and open it last. Ripping open the packaging he looked down at the small black and white picture. The look on his face would make it obvious to anyone that he had no clue what the hell he was looking at. He didn’t know what to say though, if he admitted that he didn’t know what it was would he upset Miriah or was it the type of present that was supposed to confuse him? He continued to look at it, turning it around to look at it in all directions to see if it would become clear to what it was but alas it didn’t. Nope, from each and every angle Aiden could look at it from it looked like the same thing he thought from the start...a peanut inside some sort of bubble. Eventually he caved and decided it would be best to just ask Miriah. “Baby...I don’t mean to be rude of anything but...why did you get me a picture of a peanut?” he asked, trying to choose his words carefully in case he did upset Miriah in some way, shape or form.

Miriah was relived that Aiden liked the gifts she had bought for him, boys were honestly really hard to shop for. It took her hours of debating with herself to come to a decision on what Aiden would like. Eventually she just decided to go with stuff she knew he would like because it involved stuff that he liked. Though some of it could be considered a gift for herself too, so it was a win-win situation for the both of them. Looking down at her gifts she was almost unsure if she wanted to open then, they were very neatly wrapped and Miriah was curious as to who wrapped them. "Aiden did you wrap these yourself?" She asked casually as she began to tug at the wrapping paper of the one closet to her. If he had wrapped these himself then she would honestly be surprised because most boys couldn't wrap anything themselves. The first gift she opened made her mouth drop open out of shock. Her pale hands pulled it out and she turned her red eyes towards her boyfriend. It looked like an outfit but when one actually lifted it out of the box it was very easy to see that it was more or less a set of clothing for her to wear at um, well no one should ever see a lady wearing some like that. It was highly inappropriate but it seemed that Aiden didn't really care if it was or if it wasn't. The second one wasn't as bad but it was similar. Miriah's mouth continued to stay dropped as she held it out and returned her gaze back to Aiden, he was probably going to get a kick out of this. "Aiden, are these gifts for me or are they gifts for you? I can-do you really expect me to wear these?! You know I don't like sowing my body off." Miriah didn't sound angry, she actually sounded more amused than anything but she addressed Aiden about the little outfits he had given her. Were these for her or were they for him? He knew she was shy by nature and dislikes showing off her body all the time. How could he expert to show off for him in these, they looked awfully tight to wear anyways and with her current condition they wouldn't be able to fit soon anyways. Shaking her head Miriah couldn't be mad with Aiden, maybe she would have fun wearing these. Well she probably wouldn't but it would be fun to at least see what happened if she did wear them for Aiden. The next gift was a big box of candy and Miriah already wanted to hug him like crazy for that one. He knew her well if she knew that she had an incurable sweet tooth and if she didn't have candy often she'd probably lose her mind. The next one was a Quidditch book which had two likes to it for her. Miriah loved Quidditch and she loved books. It'd give her something to do for a couple of days. Miriah checked on Aiden to see how he was doing with his gifts and smiled to herself as she began to unwrap the paper to the next gift. Inside was something she didn't think Aiden would have ever knew that she liked. It was a stuff Raven toy. How did he know she liked Raven's? Miriah grinned and gripped the toy softly between her hands. This was really cute and it showed that Aiden knew Miriah and the things she liked really well. The final gift from him was this really beautiful necklace, with ruby inside of it which immediately made Miriah think of his eyes. "Aiden I love all of them, you obviously know me really well. Thank you." Miriah leaned over and kissed him softly on the lips before he hand traced across his cheek. She went back over and starting to work at gathering all the paper up so it would be easier for her to clean up.

When Aiden got to his final gift, Miriah stared at him in anticipation. It was the easiest way she could think of to tell him that she was pregnant. All the others way she would probably freak out on telling him and he'd probably never know until she actually started to get really fat. But when he finally opened it, the look on his face clearly spilled out that he had no idea what it was. How hard was it for someone to figure out that it was an ultrasound. Of a baby?! It even looked like a baby, a very small and peanut sized one but it was a baby nonetheless. But then he asked why she had gotten him a picture of a peanut and Miriah lost it. Her mouth dropped open again and she wasn't sure if she wanted to laugh or cry. He thought his baby, was a peanut?! A laugh escaped Miriah because she just couldn't help it. Her boyfriend wasn't the brightest person out there but she never expected this. "Well, that's your peanut...why wouldn't I give you a picture of it?" Miriah decided to play along. Let him think it was a peanut, just for the hell of it. She figured it would be a really funny story to tell people. Especially to the child when it got older, that his or her own father thought that it was a peanut. What a riot. Rolling her eyes she gave him another kiss on the cheek before she pat his head and stood up to throw away the wrapping paper that was all over the floor. He'd figure it out eventually, so she wasn't too worried. Hopefully though he would be happy about it. The last time something similar happened their relationship had bumps.

As far as presents were going Aiden had to admit that their first Christmas together was going well so far; even with the whole ordeal this morning but that was more fun than anything. Aiden prided himself in being good at picking out presents for people but he had to admit that he even surprised himself in picking out presents for his girlfriend. This was the first time that the two of them had bought presents for each other and Aiden was rather nervous at the start of his present hunt but then he realised, the more he went on the more he realised that he knew Miriah better than he thought he did. He had to buy himself buying presents for her at some point because he was afraid that made down the line he would run out of ideas on what to get her. Although he hoped that it would never come to that point and he was sure that there was parts of Miriah that he had yet to discover and he looked forward to learning them and when he did, with them could come more present ideas for future birthdays, Christmases etc. Aiden thought it was it ironic how he never had planned on settling down, at least not so young, and here he was with Miriah, the most unlikely girlfriend for him, living together and thinking about the future of the two of them. It surprised Aiden that he thought like this but he liked it, the grown up, slightly more mature, him was one that he was happy with and he knew it was all because of Miriah. She really was amazing and he couldn’t be happier than he was right now; with her. Although before Aiden made plans about what to get her in the future he wanted to be sure he was along the right lines with this first batch of presents. He gave his girlfriend a strange look as she questioned whether had wrapped them himself. “I did. Why?” he asked with a small laugh as it was such a strange question to ask. After many years of being the one who helped his mother do birthday and Christmas shopping, how he believed he became such a good person at picking out presents – his mother was the best at it so he had picked it up from her – he would help her wrap them as well and just like his gift, he learned from the best. After his mother died it was up to him most of the time to buy presents for Giselle and wrap them up for Christmas Day so she could open them, and have a normal of childhood as one could without a mother. Pushing those thoughts out of his because he wanted to enjoy today for what it was he continued opening his presents while keeping a close eye on Miriah as she opened her own. Her reaction to the first present was priceless, he really wished he knew where the camera was to get a picture of it; the reaction to the second one was just as good. He knew those two presents were a little more risqué but they were his idea for a god set of icebreaker presents as he was sure she would like the rest of them. At her question he couldn’t contain his amusement anymore and laughed for a bit. “Well I could ask you the same thing.” he said jokingly as he picked up a few of the presents she had gotten him, two books; while Aiden normally wouldn’t read he was definitely looking forward to flicking through these pages, and a little blue box, which to be fair would come in handy in conjunction with the books. When Miriah spoke about her insecurities about showing her body he furrowed his eyebrows slightly. Shifting closer beside her he wrapped his arms around her for a moment. “Baby, you have the sexiest body I’ve ever seen, you shouldn’t worry about showing it. Plus it’s only for me…” he said lowering his eyes to her body for a moment before landing back on her ruby orbs once more, “And there’s nothing I haven’t seen already.” He added with a small smirk before kissing her lips softly and sitting back down on his own cushion.

As the two of them continued to open the rest of their presents Aiden smiled to himself as he saw how Miriah reacted to the last few gifts. He was glad that she seemed to react well to the stuffed toy, he was rather happy with him being able to pick up on her liking Ravens and what girl didn’t like a stuffed toy, no matter what age they were. As Miriah finished up her last present he grinned as she thanked him. “You’re welcome babe.” he said as she pulled away from the kiss. As Miriah started to gather up her papers he went to open his last present, the mysterious one which Miriah told him specifically to open last. It was a small present, flat and not very heavy; so he was even more curious. His curiosity wasn’t at all replenished when he opened the present; in fact he was more confused than ever. He took a few moments for asking Miriah to enlighten him but that was no use. She got me a picture of a peanut? It’s not even a very good peanut... he thought to himself as he focused on the picture a bit more to see if he could make any more sense out of it. Miriah was a Ravenclaw so maybe this was some sort of riddle or clue as to what the real present was. For now he was just going to act along until he could figure it out...maybe he had received one too many bludgers to the head that was not allowing him to get the real picture. “Indeed.” he mumbled to her statement of why she wouldn’t give him a picture of his peanut. He stared at the picture for a few moments more before standing up and clearing away his things, gathering the paper so he could help Miriah. “Thank you for the wonderful presents baby.” he said as he wrapped his arms loosely around her waist and giving her a kiss on the lips. “Hungry yet? I think food is in order.” he brought up as suggestion. The food was the best part of Christmas after the presents.

Miriah figured that asking him if he had wrapped these himself was a strange question to ask any man, but she was truly curious. Most men couldn't even figure out how to get the wrapping paper situated let alone how to actually wrap a box decently. He may have even done a neater job at it then she did, which impressed the former Ravenclaw greatly. Biting her lip, she tried to think of a way she could word this and not sound like a complete idiot while doing so. "It's just that most men don't know how to wrap presents, but you did it perfectly. I'm rather impressed with it actually." As much of a shock as it was, she knew that Aiden had to have some hidden talents other than being good at Quidditch and charming the ladies. But the fact that it was being able to wrap presents better than a woman could was kind of funny. Miriah regretted thinking like that though. It was mean and an idea started to form in her head. If they were together in the future and there was future presents to be wrapped, she knew exactly who was going to end up wrapping them all too. Aiden would be like her personal gift wrapping slave. Him letting her know that he could wrap gifts really well was officially going to become one of his biggest mistakes. Never let a person know you know hot to do something that otherwise would have otherwise stayed as their job. Because then then they start to feel like it is no longer their job to do it. Miriah learned that the hard way, now she knew how to use it to her advantage though. There was probably a story behind how he knew how to wrap and one day she would ask him about it. Right now she felt like they didn't know one another long enough to start questioning about one another's history. He responded to what she said about the gifts being for him rather than her, even though they were addressed to her. Miriah knew for a fact that they were purchased for him. It was a huge mental debate between what he would like too because there was a lot he would probably appreciate even more than the ones she had bought him. But Miriah thought that he would have too much fun with though and had to make sure he behaved himself some way or another. "I figure you would put all your presents to more use than I would, which by the way I feel like I should inform you that just because I bought you those books, doesn't mean that it's an invitation to wake me up in the middle of the night claiming you wanted to try something out. You already do that enough." Miriah poked him on the cheek softly, mostly joking but he did have a tendency to want intimacy at the worst times. Not that he could help it, he was a man and they were particularly difficult with pretty much everything that they said. But she wouldn't deny him fun with his present though, that would just be torture. Miriah clutched the stuffed Raven to her closely and began to wonder if she and Aiden would be together like this next Christmas. Especially because now there was going to be an actual baby involved. It was strange how the first time she thought she was actually pregnant when she wasn't and now that she actually was he assumed that she wasn't. They were such an odd and unlikely pair. But that was what made their relationship so much more romantic in Miriah's opinion.

"Oh Aiden I do not. I jus-just...I don't think those would look good on me at all. Plus what's the point of wearing them if your going to end up taking them off anyways?" Miriah turned so red as she spoke to Aiden. He really wanted her to wear one of those for him? What if it made her look fat or ugly, or even stupid? Plus soon they would not fit anyways because her stomach and a few another body parts would get much much bigger. Finally after a moment of hiding her face she agreed to model the clothing for him sometime soon. She didn't tell him why she decided soon but it was mostly because she wanted to try it out before she lost her figure for awhile. When Aiden asked if she was hungry Miriah nodded her head. Yeah she just ate not too long ago, but being pregnant excused her from going hungry all the time. His arm was wrapped loosely around his face and Miriah took that time to bring him into a fiery kiss. Her fingers traced at his facial hair and she grinned against his lips. "By the way, I must add how much I enjoy your facial hair. It makes look sexy, you even look like a man now instead of a pretty little girl." Miriah let her fingers trace down his face again before she kissed his jaw and stood herself up to head into the kitchen. Truly she did love the fact that he had facial hair now, it made him look rugged and far more manly. Back in school she never could have imagined him with facial hair and looking good while having some, but damn did he look good.

Aiden didn’t really mind Miriah asking him about whether he had wrapped the presents himself. He knew that most men would have the person at the shop to wrap any presents for them like most shops did around Christmas and other big holidays like Valentines but Aiden nothing like most men. In all fairness there were a few cases where he was like most men but he had definitely done a lot of growing up recently and he knew he owned a lot of that to the effect Miriah had on him and he could never thank her enough for that. He actually liked the way he was now, he thought that he liked the way he was before but looking back on the years past he realised that he was such a jerk to people and he really didn’t like the person he was and parts of him wished that he could change that but he knew it was too late now and it was better to just keep going on the way he was now and forget about his past and if he got a chance to make amends now; then again there was people that he would probably never get along with but that was their own fault and he didn’t particularly care about those people. “Thank you baby!” he said with a smile as Miriah complimented his gift wrapping. “You know it’s all about the presentation.” he said in a slightly higher pitched tone of voice and waved his arms about slightly to give his words and actions a rather ‘camp’ expression, something far from what Aiden actually was, laughing at himself after trying to remain serious for a few seconds afterwards. He always found that when he tried to be serious the harder it was to keep in the laughter and the harder it was when it came out. He loved that he could surprise Miriah in nice ways like that because he would hate to think that their relationship, no matter how new, could get boring anytime soon because he had seen how relationships that after a while got boring also got very hard to manage, they’d end up fighting more and not wanting to be with each other. Although at this moment Aiden felt the exact opposite with Miriah, he knew that this could probably be the real thing hence why he was taking things slowly, well in some senses of the relationship than others, because he wanted things to work with Miriah and he figured that if he took things slow then it would work out better in the end. In his past relationships he had threw around words and feelings like ‘love’ far too early into the relationship and, well it was obvious where they ended up and he didn’t want that with Miriah. Then again their relationship was still in the early stages, despite their history. Then again their history wasn’t exactly an epic love story, maybe the bit at the end but everything before that. He thought about it and he often wondered if the fighting that they had done in the past would mean they wouldn’t fight much or at all now that they were in a relationship. He knew that no relationship was without it’s bumps in the ground along the path somewhere, heck even at the start they had the whole ordeal with Charles which was now long forgotten and in the past because Aiden realised just how stupid he had been about it. For now he was just going to remain taking things at the pace they were going and enjoy the ride for what it was because he really did love spending time with Miriah and hoped to keep it like that.

As the two continued to sit and discuss their presents Aiden couldn’t help but laugh as Miriah reminded him that just because she bought him a book it wasn’t an invitation to wake her up in the middle of the night. Not that he would do that anyway because after the last few times he tried that move; well let’s say he didn’t want to do it again in a hurry because for being small Miriah could pack a punch. Folding his arms over dramatically he pouted, “Booo! You’re no fun.” he said in a child-ish voice, sticking out his tongue at the end for an added touch to his child-ish behaviour towards being told to not do something that he wanted to do. Once again after trying to hold the serious look he had to burst out laughing, it was much too fun messing around with Miriah. He watched Miriah with a soft smile on his lips as she clutched on to her stuffed Raven toy, it was such a good find and he was glad that she liked it. When it came time to discuss Miriah’s presents from Aiden he knew there would be an immediate dislike of sorts towards them from Miriah but he was normally good at persuading her. Plus he would have thought that after everything that they already did she wouldn’t be so against exposing her body around him a bit more. Then again he respected her enough to not force her into anything if she was going to be overly uncomfortable about it but he would like to experiment a bit but it would only be if she was comfortable. Then again when he heard from the woman that sold them to him, sexy underwear sometimes made girls feel more comfortable in their own skin, that it gave them a sense of power, somewhat; it helped even more when the man enjoyed it so much, it just made girls realise that their bodies weren’t as bad as they thought. When Miriah began to voice her worries of wearing the clothes he had bought he Aiden just shook his head. “Baby, to me you look hot in anything and taking them off is all part of the fun.” he said with a sly smirk on his face, knowing he was probably going to get smacked for this at some point. Although when Miriah actually agreed to wear the clothes for him, he was pleasantly surprised but wasn’t going to say no to it. As Aiden was about to get up to head into the kitchen for food he was pleasantly surprised by Miriah’s sudden fiery kiss, something which he gave back too eagerly. As he fingers traced his beard he felt a tingly sensation which was a lot more pleasant than he imagined. “Oh haha.” he said saracastically as she referred to him being like a pretty little girl without the facial hair. “So it’s a keeper then? Because if that’s the way it makes you I’ll gladly keep it.” he said with a wink as Miriah stood up and he followed suit. “So what’s to eat.” he asked as he wrapped his arms around Miriah from behind and started walking into their kitchen.
