The brothers cast off

He stopped eating and thought about what she had said. She said it just how he felt it was. He stared at her for a while then smiled. " You just said it exactly how i felt it. Thats amazing, that has never happened to me before." He looked down at his coffee then ate a chip slowlt

Ana smiled. She knew he was telling the truth when he said this and she was happy because of it. She was just glad that he said something to her without lying. "Does that mean you find it hard to relate to other people's feelings??"

Theo bit his lip and thought of how to answer. " I can relate to people's feelings. I know what makes them tik. Its like a gift i have, i have always been good at reading people." He was telling the truth about that, he just missed out the bit about him not caring about what people thought or how they were feeling. He wasn't that sort of person

Ana felt like Theo wasn't telling her things. His eyes hid everything behind them and there was no way to get past the darkness of them to the secrets that hid within. It was like a puzzle waiting to be solved. It was like being around Ash again. She looked down at her plate so she didn't have to look him in the eyes. "When was the last time you saw Ash and Riley then??"

Theo thought again for a second. " I saw my father a few days ago and the last time i saw Riley was when i was 15. riley was 12 at the time." He looked down at his plate as Ana had done. It was very rare that Theo was this calm around someone he had only just met. Usually his guard would be fully up and he would be protective of himself and he would be very dominant. It was confusing him greatly

"Are you close with Riley?? Or rather were you??" She kept her eyes on her food as she continued to eat. His eyes may have been evil looking but she knew that the second she looked up she would melt under them. They were amazing and scary at the same time.

(couldn't be bothered to change account)

Theo shook his head. " No i was never close with any family member. I think that the more people you care about the better chance of getting hurt, so i like to distance myself from certain people." He finished his coffee and his small plate of chips then he sat back in his chair and waited for Ana to finish, she was so slow it was painful for him

"I'd never be able to live a life like that. It would be too lonely. I care for my family and friends more than anything else." She finished the last bit of salad and place her fork on the plate. She looked around the room, avoiding eye contact with Theo.

Theo shrugged passivly. " I got used to it. When my best friend died, i just cut myself off from everybody. So you know." He followed her gaze and frowned confused by it. " Urm what on earth are you looking at?"

" I got over it." He sighed then frowned slightly confused. " Forgive me, but you seem to be looking every where apart from at me." Theo looked at her. It was rude that she didnt look at him when she spoke, he didnt like people being rude to him. It vexed him greatly

Ana sighed and looked into his eyes. "I'm sorry. You're eyes are just loads like Ash's. It's just...creepy." Ana put her head in her hands and groaned. "I don't wish to be rude or anything. I really am sorry."

Theo chuckled slightly. " Dont worry about it Ana. He is my dad after all and he was the one that raised me. So i guess in many ways i am like him. Exept im better looking and actuall have pride and dignity. He rested his chin on his hands and looked at her with a slight smile on his face. There was something about this girl that broke through the icyness that was his sould.

Theo stood up with her and held out his hand. " It was nice to meet you Ana. My brother is a right tw@t to have let you go. Im sorry to be related to him. We should meet again." He smiled. " Im sure that i will bump into you again soon."

Ana shoo his hand. "It was nice meeting you too." She smiled as she turned and walked out the door. She suddenly realised that she didn't want to say bye to him but she continued walking, regardless.
