The brothers cast off

Ana shook her head. "I can't drink alcohol at the moment." She looked around. "There's a good place along the road there but I can't go there. I don't want to be tempted." She hoped he wouldn't need an explanation.

Theo looked around and sighed as he rubbed the beck of his head with his hand. " So urm where do you want to go now then?" He was fully depending on her to make the decisions as he had no idea what to do or where to do anything.

Theo frowned. His master plan had gone belly up. He thought again for a second then decided to do what she had said. " Well i guess that i will do that then." He smiled then began to walk slowly so that she could keep up. " So how old are you then? Im 21." He smiled kindly at her as he tried to start the conversation up again

Ana walked along beside him, glad that she had someone to talk to. She couldn't believe how much Theo was like the old Riley; the Riley she fell in love with. "I'm eighteen." She smiled at him and felt pulled in by his eyes.

Ana rolled her eyes as she smiled up at him. "Your age has nothing to do with it." Ana was used to her sister thinking she could boss her around because she was older. "Believe me; I will have my say."

Theo laughed. " Ok well i wont argue with a woman i dont like to do something that is obviously impossible." He smiled then frowned when a random stranger walked strait into him. He picked him up and threw him to the ground. " Watch where your going." He turned and walked away while kicking dust behind him. " Sorry about that Ana. I hate it when people dont look where they are going." He sighed. That wasnt the only thing he hated more or less everything, and everyone.

Ana rolled her eyes as she watched Theo floor the other guy. She carried on walking as he caught up to her and apologised. "I thought you said you were nothing like Riley or Ash. Personally, I think that was exactly like them."

Theo thought for a second. " I meant that im not a cheater or i dont hurt girls or anything." He hated being told who or what he was like. She didnt even properly know him and she was making comparisons to him already. He was nothing lie his family. His family were all losers who thought nothing themselves.

"And yet you're perfectly happy to hurt a guy who caused you no pain." She looked at him then at the ground where she was walking. "Look, I'm sorry if I sound sorta..." Ana couldn't think of how to explain the way she was feeling. "...you know. I'm just stressed and I've seen enough of people around me getting hurt. That's all."

Theo ruffled his hair up and sighed. This girl seemed complicated. Although Theo loved nothing more than a challenge. He also thought that this would show his little brother that Theo could get everything he could get and more. It was time to put on his poker face side of him. He smiled. " Dont worry about it. It's very rare that i ever hurt anybody." He lied but didnt show it on his face.

"So, one of these rare occasions just happens to be the day that you meet me." Ana crossed her arms over her chest. She didn't trust many people at the moment. She had trusted too much and it had caused her pain. "I'd prefer to hear the truth than to be lied to." She was telling the truth. She didn't care what the truth was for him, she just wanted to hear it. She hated being lied to.

Theo raised an eye brow and looked at her. " I am telling the truth. Im not a liar." Again he lied but he didnt let it show. He looked infront of him to see where he was going. Stupid girl, thinks she knows me. She knows nothing about me. He sighed to shake those thoughts.

"Fine. Whatever." Ana kept her head down. She didn't want to look at someone who insisted on lying to her. She wasn't a human lie detector or anything but Theo wasn't very good at lying. "What are you doing in New Zealand then??" She tried to change the subject to something he wouldn't lie to her about.

Theo was a little reluctant on sharing his life story with her so kept it basic. " Well i wanted to see my family again. After something that happens in my life, i needed them." He sighed then looked back up to where he was walking and concentrated on what was in front of him. " So what brings you here, or have you always lived here?"

"My aunt and uncle moved us all here. Sydney wasn't really the right place for all of us and nobody was enjoying it much so when my cousins got accepted to Hogwarts New Zealand, Sam and Dervish took it as an opportunity to change country." She shrugged. She liked New Zealand but England would always be her home..

The nodded. He really wasnt too interested about her story. " Well i was born here then we moved to Scotland then i moved away to England then i finished school and now im now im here." He liked to keep his own personal information very very basic, never going into too much detail about it. He saw a little cafe on the end of the street. That may distract her for now. He smiled slightly. " How about that place over there. I dont know how good it is though." He pointed the where he had been looking

Ana realised how basic and undetailed his story was but she didn't ask any questions about it. She looked in the direction he was pointing and smiled. She liked this restaurant. It was small and cosy and the staff were always polite. "Yeah, sure." She started walking in the direction of the restaurant and smiled as she reached the door and walked into the sweet smelling room.

Theo walked into the place and hit a wall of sweet smelling food. He picked a table then pulled out a chair for her then sat opposite her and looked a menu. " Would you like anything?" He decided to get her dinner and see where it led. He wanted to out do his little brother. He needed to know that he wasnt better than him. He looked up at Ana and smiled

Ana sat down and looked at the menu. "I'll just have a salad and some pumpkin juice." She didn't feel like eating much but she hadn't been eating at all just recently and knew she had to to feed the baby.

The nodded and smiled. " Ok one salad and juice coming up. Stay right here." He got up and ordered what she wanted and he got a coffee and some chips. When it came he took them over to the table and placed them in front of her. " There we go" He chuckled then ate a chip and sipped his coffee

Theo nodded. " Yes i hope so. I dont really want to leave now, well not any time soon. It feels good to be home. Also i have some unfinished business to attend to." He watched her eat her salad while he picked at his chips and slowly drank his coffee

"I know how you feel." Ana smiled. "England has always been my home but I very rarely get a chance to go there." She shrugged. "Whenever I do go there, I just feel like I'm home. I love being there. I always had a great time with my family in London. Sydney was ok to live in and I like New Zealand but neither of them are home."
