Amable rose from his seat on the judge's platform, flourished his wand in the air, causing great blue sparks to fall all around the area, and pointed it at last to his throat in order to project his voice farther once attention had been drawn to him. "Bonjour. Hello. Welcome to the first task of the TriWizard Tournament!" The crowd, of course, erupted at this sentiment and Amable smiled before raising his hand once more and quieting the crowd. "The Champions have drawn an order to complete this task in and they're quite anxious to begin. So, with their wands already weighed, allow me to explain the challenge - then the task can begin!" At this, too, there were great cheers and Amable rolled his eyes playfully at Aubrey who was on the ground with the other champions, anxiously awaiting their instructions.

Amable quieted the crowd once more before speaking out again, "Within the forest before us, two Ancient Runes have been hidden for each champion. The task of the champions is simple: find their runes. The runes were specially chosen for each champion, each with a deep and personal meaning for them. The champion who finds their runes the quickest will win this task." Amable smirked at how simple he had made the task seem before talking once more, "Of course... there is a catch. The forest before us is home to many things, many things which I do not care to know of. In addition to these things: specific obstacles have been set in place for each champion to overcome while in the forest." Amable nodded to each champion as he said this, affirming their suspicions that his words had been, at first, too good to be true.

"If each champion will now look at the coin they had drawn for order, the coin now displays the two runes you seek. The Durmstrang Champion seeks for: Jera and Algiz. The Hogwarts New Zealand Champion seeks after Nauthiz and Eihwaz. Finally, the Beauxbatons Champion seeks for Thurisa and Mannaz." Amable gave a moment for the champions to look at their coins and see the runes they were looking for "That is all. The first champion will go out in five minutes."
Formal Rules for the Task:
[ol][li]The roleplayers of the Veelas set the pace for the task RP in that:
[ul][li]Veelas know the location of the runes and roleplay them out slowly, allowing the roleplayer of the champion to pick up on those hints and eventually have their character find the runes

[li]Veelas will be given minimal godmodding abilities. Such as:[ul][li]Hitting their champion with fireballs.[li]Stating that the champion that they are to tempt has been distracted/led astray[/li][/ul][/li][/ul][li]Each Champion will complete the task separately (in a different time frame) and in a different thread. Champions will open their own threads and may do so whenever they are ready. They may not roleplay finding the runes without indication from the Veela roleplayer that it is alright to do so now. As stated in an earlier rule, the Veela roleplayers know where the runes are hidden and will put subtle indications in their post, as well as roleplaying the Veela's reactions as characters draw nearer to locations of runes.
[li]The winner, in character, will be determined by the time it takes them to find all their runes. Out of character it will be determined by the planning team's impression of length of IC time take, comparatively. (We cannot do number of posts, or OOC time taken, as the first would lend to superhero-type champions, and the second would leave things up to chance and people would just try to complete the RP ASAP. So if the veela and champion were on at the same time...)

[li]The decision of the planning team is final, and moderating of the task will take place solely by administrators[/li][/ol]
Amount of points awarded:
