The Battle

Jack jumped as a loud gasp came out of her. He sat there, unsure of what to do. "Sorry. I was distracted. No i don't know him, but i have a problem with that guy." He said, his tone plain as he flicked his wand at the girl, removing the dripping substance. Conjuring the drying spell over her, he pulled a sheepish grin. "That should be better. But you will smell quite badly of firewhiskey." He said, his face apologetic as he refilled her glass with another top up.

(OOC: I just knew that this would happen :p i knew it when i typed my last words.... you must be a mindreader  )

Adalyn rolled her eyes at the girl unsure of what to do. She hadn't learned the spells he was casting over her yet, but they would be very useful once she did, she was sure. "Well, thanks for that. What's your problem with him? He talks to much for me," she said sitting back down on the sofa but this time in the middle her legs folded underneath her. She didn't exactly share something with Jack, but it sort of felt like they did. Looking down she brought her shirt up and smelt it, it did smell badly of firewhiskey. "Well now, everyone will just be drinking me up," she said not sure if he would get the joke or if his mind would still be wrapped up on Alois.

Jack laughed casually at her joke. "Sorry, again." He said, his tone sheepish. "Well, i don't really know him. But i know of him and he has come up in conversation recently, a little too much for me to leave it unnoticed." He said, his tone casual but his thoughts angry. He felt that he should explain it to Adalyn, but she had just told him that Alois spoke too much and he didn't want to fall into this pattern as well. When the incident a few minutes ago had happened, Jack had jumped onto his feet. Turning around to sit back again, he noticed that she was in the middle now, much closer to him. He sat back in his original seat, but this time, his body turned so he was facing her when he looked straight ahead.

Adalyn shook her head at his apology saying basically it wasn't a big deal, firewhiskey and other drinks had hit her plenty of times before she had gotten use to it, it was just the suprise of it that shocked her now. "Your girlfriend, Gwen, is the girl he likes, isn't it?" She asked him pieces two and two together. Alois had said the girl was dating someone else, older then him; and he wished that he had met the girl first instead of the other guy. "That's a bummer, for him. I told him to get over her, I really did," she said leaning alittle away back from Jack uncertain on how he would react to everything.

Jack froze as the reality of her statement made sense. Gulping silently to himself, he confirmed his decision to get hold of Alois and make him understand Jack's problem with him. "Yeh, i guess so." He said, realising the truth behind the words now. His tone was strange, off and different. He was attempting to try and control his feelings rather than letting go to his anger in front of Adalyn. He smiled at her last statement. "Good for you. He needs to get over her." He said, his tone still the same. Noticing that she had leaned away, he took a deep breath and smiled, controlling his anger now.

Adalyn nodded glad that she now knew the name of the girl Alois liked. It was hard to understand why he liked her so much, but with two guys liking her, she must be something special. Sighing she fell back onto the couch her head landing ont he armrest as she hoped it would. "Yeah well, it didn't do so well. He's practically even more wrapped in her. I mean it wasn't like he was goin' off and saying everything he liked about her, but I could tell, body lanuage, it screamed his thoughts about her. He's an open book, just don't go and well, beat him up or anything. I don't think Gwen would like that to much, they are 'best friends forever' and all," she said her hands busing themshelves with straightening her shirt as she looked back over towards him.

Jack laughed coldly. "Its not just Gwen and him i have a problem with. He dated my cousin and i don't know what went wrong yet.... don't worry... i won't do anything.... stupid." He said, quoting the words that he had used for Gwen as well. He found that his level of what was classed as 'stupid' was very much different to everyone else's. Smirking at the idea of it all, he turned to take another quick drink.

(OOC: Sorry for the lame post extreme :jesse: )

Adalyn was looking up at the ceiling as he spoke. Goosebumps rose on her limbs as he laughed, it was a freaky, dark laugh that made her want to jump in a fire to warm up as the chills went through her body. After he finished taking she heard him take a sip of his drink and remembered how she hadn't ever gotten any of hers because it landed all over her. Kicking her leg up with the skilled expertise of someone with multiple siblings her foot kicked the cup from his hands and it went everywhere, not just on him but her and the couch as well. Laughing she sat up pulling herself sitting up. "Sorry...sorry, the..the opportunity was there..and pay back is a b!tch," she said still laughing looking over at him for his reaction.

Jack turned to look at Adalyn as she looked at the ceiling. Wondering if she had heard him, he turned back to take another drink. However, before the glass reached his lips, it went everywhere and splashed him so he was soaked through now as well as her. And, so was the couch. Full of shock, he dropped the glass and it smashed everywhere, shards of glass dipping into his legs and sticking there. Gritting his teeth as a few seconds later the pain came through, he waved his wand absentmindedly at the couch, drying it of all the gone firewhiskey. Forgetting his clothes, he pulled out a few fragments of glass and used his wand to get rid of the rest. Sighing slightly, he turned to Adalyn. "Two shay." He commented, smirking slightly at her skill and daring. He laughed for a minute, back to his warm amused laugh and sat back down again, having jumped up when the incident had occurred. "Well, now we both, and the couch stink of firewhiskey. Someone will wonder what has been going on." He smirked, thinking of the conclusions that people would jump to.

Adalyn was shocked by his dropping of the glass. Besides the drink spilling over them and the glass shattering and going into his leg, it was a pretty funny sight. She felt the air from his wand going over her as he dried the couch, it was like a warm summers wind blowing over her. Simling she looked over his pants seeing the places the glass went in, there were a couple holes and she felt bad about it. "Sorry I didn't mean for you to drop the glass," Adalyn told him her fingers brushing one of the holes under his knee. She shook her head at his comment, a smile on her face. "Oh well I'm sure we can arrange some sort of story," she told him proud she had used a word she just learned the other night.

Jack shrugged her apology away. It didn't matter, magic had sorted it all out. "And what sort of story could that be?" He asked, his tone warm and friendly. Feeling her fingers brushing the hole underneath his knee, he wondered what sort of story she was planning to arrange. Holding his wand in his hand, he summoned yet another 2 glasses of firewhiskey from his store and caught them both, handing one of them to Adalyn so there could be no mistake over spilling of glasses. As well as some drinks, he summoned a new t-shirt to replace his old one. Stripping his old one off, his muscled chest glowed in the light coming from the window. Slipping the t-shirt over, he got rid of his old one and waited to see if Adalyn wanted anything summoned.

(OOC: Sorry for the lame post :jesse: )

Adalyn pulled her head back once she noticed he summoned more drinks. Taking it in hand she thought of some story they could tell everyone. "Well, you see. There was this troll, and he decided to steal the butterbeer, so we had to drink firewhiskey. But he didn't like the smell so he dumped it all over us while we were sitting on the couch talking," she told him in complete seriousness. A smile was playing on her face as she moved her cup to her mouth for a sip of the drink. She was glad Jack wasn't getting all over her and Adalyn respected him more for it, he did have a girlfriend afterall.

Jack laughed out loud at the next comment and the seriousness in which it was portrayed. "And, he then felt bad and smashed a glass into my leg to say sorry?" He added, his eyebrows raised as he wondered whether his addition to the story would help or ruin it. He watched a smile dance over her lips, and knew that if he didn't have a girlfriend, he would probably feel the need to kiss the lips. His own lips twitched in return and he smiled at her, giving in to the feeling of amusement.
