Jumping down the last few steps of the staircase, Rory landed on the floor of the Entrance Hall with both feet creating a pronounced slap. "But what are we doing guys. This day isn't even halfway over and I'm already getting bored." She turned to look at each of her three friends, giving each of them a small moment of contemplation in the hope that some sort of inspiration would strike. Rory's eyes flicked between Hayley and Rose, and back again, and suddenly she grinned widely. "Hayley... did me and Harley ever tell you about a certain little fact we discovered working at the joke shop recently?" She couldn't help herself, it was just too funny to see Rose's reaction whenever anyone brought up Charlie - and it made her feel better about her own thing with Aodhan, too. Sharing was caring, especially when it applied to embarrassment, right?

Hayley grinned at Rory jumping down the stairs, and in something between an attempt at one-upmanship and a desire to join the fun, leaped the last few steps in one large reckless jump. She stumbled a little on the landing, but hey, it was cool anyway. She shrugged contentedly in response to her friend's question, honestly happy just to be spending the day with her best friends, no agendas, nothing wrong. "Oooh, what kind of little fact?" Judging by the mischievous look on Rory's face, and the growing trepidation on Rose's, this had to be some kind of teasing, which Hayley would absolutely play along with. "Come on, spill."

Watching her friends leap down the last few stairs to the Entrance Hall, Harley decided to jump up onto the bannister and slide down after them. She stumbled slightly on the dismount, but quickly caught up with her friends. She agreed with Rory's sentiment about the day being boring, but before Harley could comment on it Rory changed the subject to one Harley could absolutely get on board with. Grinning mischeviously, she linked one of her arms with Hayley's and leaned over to prod Rose teasingly in the side with the other. "Weeell, we had a veeeeery interesting encounter with Rosie here on the weekend." She grinned, eyes glinting. "She and a certain boy were having quite the time in Brightstone." She leaned towards Hayley and cupped her hand around her mouth like she was going to whisper to the girl, but made sure her voice was loud enough for the other two to hear. "On a D-A-T-E..."

Rose smiled in amusement as she saw Rory jump down the last few steps of the staircase, following behind the redhead at a normal pace even though none of her friends decided to follow her lead. It wasn't surprising that she was complaining about being bored. It was something Rory did semi-regularly. But what she wasn't expecting was for Rory's attention to turn to her and Hayley. Her stomach sank when Rory started talking about the joke shop, knowing exactly where this was going. Hayley seemed interested in what they were saying and Harley didn't waste any time teasing her. It made Rose a little angry. It was like she couldn't have a friend who was a boy without anyone teasing her they were dating. Phoebe had done the same thing. She scowled at Harley, crossing her arms. "It wasn't a date." She said firmly. "Rory, just because you decided to date one of your friends, doesn't mean we are all going to do that." But she knew it was futile. Now that Rory had broached the subject, she knew it wouldn't be easy to deflect the attention away. She frowned at Rory, then at Harley, sticking out her tongue at them. "You're just jealous you had to work while I was having fun with a friend." She said. Though she knew it was a weak retort.

Glad that Hayley didn't already know about the topic of conversation that she had just brought up, Rory grinned widely at knowing she wouldn't miss her friend's reaction to the news. It was made even better by the fact that Harley and Rose were here to share the moment, and Rory knew that suddenly the day wasn't going to be quite so boring. Pleased that Harley had launched right into telling the story, Rory swung an arm around Rose's shoulders and interjected her friend's first statement with a nod. "We did." She drew back when Rose refuted Harley's claims, however, laughing. "It totally was a date though." She briefly swung her attention back to Hayley to give the girl more details. "And because they kept denying it, he didn't even get a boyfriend discount for the stuff he bought. So sad." Rory shook her head in mock disappointment, but then quickly returned to her previous mischievous expression. The mention of Aodhan gave her slight pause, but only served to make her forge further ahead in her teasing - if only to try and avoid herself becoming the new centre of attention. "Ah, but you admit that a boyfriend starts as a friend then. Ergo, you and this Charlie boy are going to be dating if you're not already." She wiggled her eyebrows, hoping Rose wouldn't be able to convincingly deny the faulty logic. That would just be unfair, considering she'd never managed to figure out how to do it herself when she'd needed to.

Hayley laughed at Harley sliding down the bannister. Trust her to take a pattern established by Hayley and Rory to the next level. Right on Harley's cue, Hayley loudly said "Oooooh," with a conspiratorial glance at her friends. To be honest, all this teasing about boys and boyfriends was starting to make her uncomfortable, particularly as she was beginning to question her own sexuality and vaguely dislike the thought that all her friends might be heterosexual. Still, it was harmless fun that might lead somewhere more interesting, so she joined in, albeit with reservations. "Well, not all boys are dating material. We have to know if this boy is good enough for our Rosie." Hayley didn't think she knew any boys that were dating material, but that might be different for the others. She was prepared to consider the possibility. Hayley sidled up to Rose, and elbowed her lightly in the ribs. "So, Rose. Tell us about him."
