Nikola had been wondering about the Wild Patch Club since the rush of sign ups occurred, as it sounded like the club he would like the most. Sebastian had signed him up for virtually everything, which had been horrifying, but at least he felt that he would do okay in this club. He loved flowers, he knew lots about them and he knew that this was a club that even Eretria would do well in. The Wild Patch was located just near the Hogwarts Gardens across the Great Lawn, which made it a rather nice walk on a bright spring day. He could see the Wild Patch in front as he followed the path through the gardens, though there were a few distractions along the way. Apparently the gardens had been partially designed by members of the Wild Patch, and he couldn't help but wonder whether they were refreshed regularly, or if they had been maintained over years - a question for his father, no doubt.
Before reaching the Wild Patch setting area, however, he stopped by a series of rose bushes to inspect the colours available. Yellow, pink and white, ones that were perfectly appropriate to give to Eretria, he felt. She would certainly appreciate a gift after how hectic things had been since they both arrived here. The thorns weren't going to be fun, however, so Nikola avoided them and aimed to pluck roses that weren't buried among the others.

Saira was in the wild patch area, admiring the flowers and plants that adored the garden. There was a wide variety of spring flowers that had begun to blossom, and each of them were as beautiful. She crouched down near a patch of white daffodils that had bloomed quietly in amidst all of the other colourful greenery. They were similar to the ones she grew at back at home. The gardener would be taking care of her plants now. She touched the flower's petals but left it alone, deciding to continue on her walk.

When she was leaving the area she noticed a boy, putting his hand in the rosebush. "What are you doing?" She asked the boy.

Nikola probably should have worn gloves, considering the painful prick he got when he jumped at suddenly being addressed. He pulled his hand away quickly and tucked it in the pocket of his robe so that he didn't have to look at it. He doubted it was bleeding, as it had only felt like the tiniest of scraps, but he didn't like having to look at any of his own injuries, regardless of how mild they were.
"Oh, hi," he greeted awkwardly, trying not to appear suspicious. He wasn't even doing anything he needed to hide, he had just been accidentally spooked by the girl. "Um, well nothing, really. I'm picking some of the roses," he explained, before looking down at his empty hand, and then back at the unpicked rose bush. "Well, I was going to. I don't have anything to cut them with and the stems are a bit soft, so it's kind of hard to get a clean break. Are you here to pick flowers, too?"

Saira found it odd that he put his hand in his robes. It seemed that maybe he was trying to hide something, but she decided not to put too much mind on it. ”Um, I’m not sure if we’re allowed to pick any of the flowers, but...” Saira quickly looked around to see if there was anyone around the area, but the whole garden was empty except for them two. She quickly crouched down and took out the pocket knife in her pocket and cut one of the roses. It was off-white with a hue of pink in the middle. “Here, hold on to this.” She said handing him the rose. Saira was not too keen on getting more than one but she cut a couple more, making sure they were all from different areas, so that it wasn’t too noticeable. After they had a couple, she pocketed the knife and smiled at him. ”Right. My name is Saira, Saira Lykims, and you?”

That was a good point. Were they allowed to pick the flowers? He had to admit that, if they weren't allowed to, he didn't actually care. Flowers would grow back. What he hadn't expected was for the girl to have a small knife just on her person, as if she wandered around, prepared to cut a rose here or there. He didn't recognise the design, either, but he couldn't imagine his father would approve of him carrying around such an implement under any circumstances.
Nikola looked down at the rose she cut for him, examining the clean edge where she sliced the stem. It was quite clean, and much better than his idea of just bending it repeatedly and then yanking on it until it broke. Eretria would appreciate these much more. "None of the red ones, please," he asked, when he realised she was taking a few more roses. White, pink and/or yellow was all he was interested in.
"Thank you," he replied sincerely, having to get his second hand out so that he could hold them how he wanted. "My name is Nikola. You're in Slytherin, right? What's it like, down there?" Personally, he preferred being up in Ravenclaw Tower the best, but the stairs were... going to ensure he lived a long, fit life unless he tripped and fell down them.

She gave him a small smile. "Yeah, I'm in Slytherin." She said, gesturing at her robes. "Uh, it's quite.. dark, but it's great. There's no sun glaring at your eyes when you wake up." Which was quite comforting, though sometimes it could become kind of odd when she knew it was day but it was dark. There was always a need to check the clock or a watch, and soon the most common question in her dorm room had become "What time is it?" But despite those, the house was a lot of fun to be in.

Saira tucked her hair under her ear. "Are you a first year?" She asked the boy. He seemed around the same age as her, maybe a bit older. She felt a bit weird asking it but she decided it was fitting for the conversation that they were having.

He wasn't sure he would like that. Nikola wasn't exactly captivated by the idea of always seeing sunlight shine through his window, but he knew that he would certainly miss the stars at night. And the dungeons seemed super depressing, dank, dark and house elves wandering around. He had only been down there a handful of times to get to the kitchens with Sebastian, but that's really all he needed to know.
"I am," he replied shyly. "Ravenclaw. The complete opposite to the dungeons, actually." Looking up overhead, he pointed to what he was fairly sure was the Ravenclaw Tower, which could not be further from the Slytherin dungeons if it tried. "It's... a lot of stairs. It doesn't help that they move, too."
