Gwen knew the next girl from Heta Omega, and spent some time looking for her. She spotted Delilah Thorne in the corridor and skipped up to her, tapping her on the shoulder. "Hi! Delivery!" She said brightly.

@Delilah Thorne

Delilah was finding it a lot harder to get through the day than she expected. She paused on her way to her next lesson and tried to catch her breath. She leaned against the wall and closed her eyes just for a moment. But a moment later she was greeted by a younger girl announcing she had a delivery. With a sharp inhale Delilah stood up straight again and blinked a few times. "Oh hi." she said awkwardly. "Thanks." she added and held out her hand for the rose. She had already received more than she had expected to today and was curious to see who this was from.

Gwen frowned a bit, wondering why the girl wasn't more enthusiastic. She handed her the yellow rose. "You know, most people are a little happier." She couldn't help adding.

Happy Valentine's Day!

Lumio

Delilah took the rose and not from the younger girl but hesitated before reading it when she made a comment about her attitude. She clenched her jaw and was at first annoyed that she would say something like that considering what Delilah was going through. But she relaxed a moment later when she realized she should be thankful that the girl obviously had no idea what had happened to her family over the holiday. "Well go run off and deliver roses to them then." she sighed and finally read the note, not bothering to be polite if she wasn't going to be. She frowned when she saw the rose was from Lumio. She hadn't been a good friend to anyone lately, and he deserved her cold shoulder the least.

Gwen scowled at the girl as she said something rude in return. She was supposed to be a prefect? Gwen squared her shoulders a bit. "Well, I hope you enjoy this rose. If you're always this rude and mean, it's probably the only one you'll get." She snapped, before turning on her heel and walking away.

Delilah couldn't help but look at the girl with mild shock as she snapped back. She was mostly upset to be called rude and mean, and honestly part of her wished this was the only rose she had gotten. Maybe her mood wouldn't have been so sour to start with. "You started it." Delilah grumbled to no one as the girl turned and left. It felt childish to feel like she needed to get the last word in but she couldn't help it. Did it make her mean to not care about being polite all the time? Maybe but she wasn't about to let some little girl make her feel bad about it.
