Savannah hadn't realised that when people had talked about Halloween they had meant costumes, and dressing up. She'd never dressed up for Halloween, her parents had never let her, and there had never been any money for her to be able to get a costume. Savannah had therefore scrambled for a costume, opting to wear a pair of old trousers and her school shirt, with some fake glasses she'd managed to find in the arts room and had some of her books. She was a professor, or that was what she would tell people. She knew it wasn't super obvious and all of her books were old, her shirt was the newest thing she owned. The ravenclaw walked into the great hall, looking at the state of the room and how cool it was that it looked like that. The professors had put in a lot of effort. Savannah moved towards the snacks, keen to see what she could be offered in terms of fun halloween snacks.

Roo looked forward to the Halloween celebrations and knew exactly what she wanted to go as. Her aunt and uncle helped her with this one so that she appeared normal from one angle and covered in blood from another angle. People would think she was dressed as herself until they came closer, and that was in her mind the perfect Halloween costume. The girl entered the Great Hall, looking around at everything. Everyone definitely went all out for this event and Roo was even more proud of the costume she had organised when she saw what everyone else did as well. Unsure what to do, Roo kept walking around until she saw a familiar face. She had never spoken to the girl before but knew they shared a dormitory. "Hey! Happy Halloween!" she exclaimed, happy to share the excitement.

Savannah felt increasingly like she should just go. Some people had such elaborate costumes and she just…didn't. She spotted a familiar face approaching her, and almost made to move away. But really she didn't know this girl much at all. She was quiet, and kept to herself, and Savannah for her part did the exact same. ”Happy Halloween,” Savannah said back, but with none of the excitement that this girl…Roo or something, had. ”What are you dressed as?” ​
