The Spring air of France was out and about as the warmness was only interrupted by the sudden breeze that moved the leaves around, Sunny clouds could be seen meaning that later on the rain was probably going to come down again. James was walking down an alley not to unlike the one they had walked down in Bleak Street however this one was on the outskirts of Paris and had fewer shops that were devoted to the Dark Arts. Paris was known to have a few allies like this one but few of them had a Le'Rouge Cafe famous for their Rosery Tea's and delicious Caramel and Rouge Apples that were both spicy, sweet, and sour and always seemed to turn one's lips red. James looked up at the sky and turned to look at his wife, it had been only a couple of weeks since what happened in Bleak Street and James knew that they were both still a little shook up about it.

It was the fight that had worried James so much, he had faced Dark Creatures before it was something else though. Kiera had been injured gravely and moments before they had been talking about children, had she been pregnant then the child would've been lost and he might have lost her as well. It was a thought James wasn't sure he liked and now he began to wonder how his parents had been able to do it. Having kids and Raising them seemed like a difficult thing to do when you were so out there and a word James had never really thought about, Vulnerable. James was also pondering on the words that man had said before he vanished "Thank you for saving me, Please save Him" James had no idea who this 'him' was or how about he was supposed to find the person or what he was supposed to save him from. James turned to Kiera and smiled "So when do you go back to the Holyheads?" James asked knowing that he was supposed to be checked up again and if he was found fit would be leaving again in about a week.

Kiera Potter walked down the streets of France with her husband. It was fairly warm here compaired with New Zealand so she was wearing a black dress with heels. It clung to her thin frame as the wind blew around them. Kiera shivered slightly, wishing she had brought her jacket. Kiera squeezed James' hand a little tighter as they walked down an alley way. It was similar to the bleak street and brought fearful memories of herself and James almost dying. She shook slightly at her flash back. It would be awhile before she would be able to get over the events of that night.

Kiera could tell something was bothering her husband. She was intune to his emotions after all this time together. She looked at him as he looked at her. His question distracted her for a few moments. "Oh umm. Next monday. When do you have to go back?" she asked him in reply. While facing the dark presence had been terrifying but it had been nothing in comparison to how terrifying it had been to almost lose her husband. The only good thing that had come out of the situation was that they were both given time off from their teams. Time they spent together. Kiera wondered what it was bothering James now. She looked at him once more. "Is there something wrong? Something on your mind?" she asked him. "You have been so quiet..."

James looked over at Kiera and smiled he had been caught in his own thoughts as he tried to appear as though he hadn't "Yeah, I'm just trying to find the place, I should be going back sometime next week after the second physical" James said as he leaned in and kissed Kiera on the forehead. James knew that he could talk to Kiera but he also knew that she would then place his burdens on top of her own and that was something he didn't want to put her through. James smiled as he pointed across the street a few yards away where a red overhang with sparkly writing on it spelled out the words Le'Rouge Cafe, there were even a few rose petals falling from the overhang onto the ground however before they did so they mysteriously vanished. The air itself was somewhat spicy, James had been wanting to take Kiera here for a while and wished that they had been able to come during the winter.

"I hope you like this place" James said as he opened the door for his wife and smiled "I haven't been here before but a few guys on the team took their wives and said it was a good place" James explained as they were escorted to a small booth by a man dressed in a silky red Robe with the name Le'Rouge in gold print. "Bonjour" The French wizard said with a smile. James looked at him and smiled back as the man left two menu's for the two of them to peruse, however it was a bit difficult to read considering all of it was in French and he had forgotten a few things that would probably be the difference between 'Cream' and 'Snails' James thought as he began looking for the waiter who was already helping some blond woman to a booth farther down the Cafe. James looked over at Kiera "So do you like the Ambiance?" James asked, after all this time he still wanted Kiera to like him as though they had just met. It was a weird though but James still loved it, even though other thoughts often clouded it.

Kiera didn't believe James as he said that he was just trying to find the place. She figured that when he wanted to tell her what was going on inside his head then he would. She would leave him alone with his thoughts for now. The corners of her mouth turned upwards as he kissed her on the forhead. Kiera loved that he still did sweet things for her, even though they were married. She gasped as he directed her attention towards a red overhang. Her mouth was slightly open in wonder as she watched rose petals fall to the ground like raindrops, vanishing before they could rest on the sidewalk. "It's beautiful." she murmured softly to her husband. She thought she even noticed a change in the air as they walked towards the cafe.

Kiera walked in as her husband opened the door for her. She surveyed the cafe, taking in the way everything looked. "It is gorgeous. I love it!" she reassured him. She nodded her head as he said some of the team had been here. Kiera couldn't help but think that those men had excellent taste. A waiter escorted them to a booth. "Bonjour." Kiera replied with a smile. She looked over the mirror. Kiera knew a bit of French since she had a French gymnist friend. The other girl had taught her casual words and conversation. Kiera grinned at her husband. "I really like it. It's different from anywhere I have ever been before." she told him, looking around her. A few people were staring at the famous couple but Kiera ignored them. She was beginning to get used to them by now. Kiera picked out what she wanted to order as she waited on the waiter to return. She bit her lip nervously as she thought about a subject she had been avoiding for a few days. It was a little hard to bring up with him but she knew she would have to do it sooner or later.

James smiled as he looked at Kiera waiting for the waiter to return though not in a rush, "It's nice that we got to spend some time together" James said with a smile as he thought about the last two weeks even though most of the first had been at Saint Mungo's. James had family visit and of course his mum and dad said that they were proud of the young couple even though what they had done was very reckless especially since it ended up putting both of them in the hospital. James couldn't help but agree with them as he never wanted to put Kiera in that type of danger, the creature had known who they were and targeted them directly because of that. James realized that Kiera sacrificed so much for him that it wasn't really fair for her, did she even know what she was getting into when she married him. James wondered a few times since the attack if Kiera felt angry at him for all that had happened, he wouldn't have been surprised if she was nor would he blame her since even he felt like he had tricked her into marrying him.

"So, how have the team been?" James said making light and casual conversation, something that seemed to be happening more and more often these days. James hadn't brought up the subject of children especially since he now had doubts about even wanting them. The waiter returned and smiled at the two with two drinks on top of a platter, they were Rosery Tea's "Un Cadeau de la Table Quatre " the waiter replied in a heavy french accent a few of the words were understandable as James looked over the tables to see who had given them their drinks however he was unable to see anyone. The Waiter merely stared at the Potters Patiently and then asked "Etes-vous prêt à Commander?", James looked up at him caught off guard and smiled "Pouvoir j'ai Numéro Deux" James replied indicating the menu which had several chicken sandwich wraps and a side dish that James wasn't quite sure he recognized. The waiter glared at him for a second as though judging him on his french and then turned towards Kiera.

Kiera nodded her head at his statement. She was glad for their much needed time together but lately it seemed as if neither one of them knew how to talk to the other. As if they were tiptoeing around everything that happened and pretending it didn't exist. Kiera was saved from answering his comment as the waiter came over to the table with drinks. She was immediately suspicious of them and glanced at James. Many dark people still targeted him for attacks and something could have easily slipped into the drinks. Kiera remained silent, deciding to mention it after the waiter left. The waiter turned to her for her order. "Une salade de poulet s'il vous plaît. " she spoke clearly, ordering a chicken salad. Lately, she had been eating practically nothing. The monster's claws ripping into her stomach had left her without an apetite.

As the waiter left, Kiera looked up at James. She hated the tension and silence between the two of them and had no idea how to break it. "Do you think the drinks are okay to drink?" she asked, not wanting to sound parinod. She bit her lip as the silence continued. Now was as good as ever to bring up the topic she wished to discuss. The young couple was quite alone at the moment so she had nothing to fear. "Uh...James?" she said tenitively. "I've been thinking and well, in light of the recent situation, I think that...I would like to have children now." she said, wondering how he would take this. "I've realized how short life can be and how little time together we might really have." she said softly.

James looked at the tea's and wondered for a moment if perhaps they were poisoned, Kiera was worried and James knew that it was his fault. James knew that they could leave the tea alone and not drink it or even pretend to spill it but that wasn't what he wanted. His father didn't live in fear and James knew that he wasn't about to either as he picked up his cup and took a sip from it. "I don't think they're dangerous, in fact it's quite good" James said with a smile as he put the tea down and without saying another word, it would be tense for the next few moments while they wait to see if there were any effects from the Tea. Finally however Kiera spoke and James listened not quite sure if he should say anything, James felt a bit uncomfortable about what Kiera was saying because only a few weeks ago it had been him saying those words.

James smiled at his wife "Are you sure that's what you want?" James asked as he placed his hand on hers and smiled brighter. James was no longer sure if he wanted children however if Kiera did then he wasn't going to refuse her, after all he had been the one to tell her that the option was always on the table. "We can start trying this weekend if you'd like" James said with a smile trying to be like his normal self, James knew however that it would take Kiera time to be able to get pregnant and in the meanwhile he hoped that he would change his mind again though the thought of bringing a child into a world where such evil exists was a terrible one. "Save Him" were the words that the spirit had told him before he had faded away, James wondered again who it was that they were supposed to save, perhaps it was some kind of riddle or a glimpse into the future. James couldn't be sure though and so instead kissed Kiera's hand "If you want to have a baby, then we'll have a baby" James said once more smiling.

Kiera watched carefully as James drank the tea in front of them. She looked for any sign that something went wrong. She knew she was just being paranoid but she couldn't help it since their encounter on Bleak Street. Kiera was constantly worrying that she was going to lose her husband. She relaxed slightly as she saw that nothing horrible was happening to James. "Okay. Then I will try it." she said, not wanting her husband to think she was afraid. Kiera picked up the drink and sipped on it. He was right of course. "It taste delicious." she said with surprised as she smiled at James.

Kiera Potter was not pleased as she saw the discomfort on her husband's face. She could tell he was just smiling for her. By now, she knew his facial expressions just as well as she knew her own. She didn't know why but she felt on the verge of tears. Kiera couldn't help but wonder if there was something about her that made him change his mind. Instead, she put on a cheerful grin and nodded her head. "Yes, that's what I want." she said firmly. Kiera frowned at his next sentence. That didn't sound romantic at all. She shook her head. "No, I don't want it to be like that." she said still frowning. "I just want to stop trying not to have a baby." she said, hoping that made sense. Kiera's stomach did a familiar flip flop at the touch of his skin against herself. She squeezed his hand as he brushed his lips against hers. For the millionth time tonight she wondered what was going on inside his head.

James looked at Kiera and smiled slightly as the waiter returned with their food, James looked at his chicken wraps but suddenly didn't feel too hungry. Instead he simply picked up a fork and began cutting one up taking small bites as he sipped his tea and looked at his wife. "I'm glad that we were able to do this you know, talk about everything that's been going on recently" James said as he began to feel a little funny. His forhead suddenly felt a bit warm as everything seemed to turn a bit pinkish. What James didn't know was that Le'Rouge's Famous Tea was known to contain a minute love potion mixed with partial Fluxweed and Flobberworms allowing those who drink it to be more opened minded and feel the effects of love more profusely. Had James done his research he would've known this prior to drinking the tea that had been ordered for the pair, instead he was left with the profound feeling of being drugged.

James looked around and tried to see who it was that had ordered the drink but was also worried about Kiera as he began to wonder if she had been poisoned as well. "Kiera are you okay?" James asked as he looked at his wife and began to notice little things about her that seemed even more beautiful than before. James looked over and saw the waiter noticing that he was smirking slightly though was already heading over to help another customer. James was begining to feel worried that Kiera and he were once again in danger and was starting to think that he was more right than before that they were not ready to have children. James wanted to get up and get out of the resturant however he was feeling as though his body was heavy. James looked around and noticed that a few of the other customers were seemingly under the same effects as he was and that they were for some reason enjoying it. James looked over at Kiera and realized what it was that they were enjoying, James could actually see Kiera glowing and was completely entranced by her and how beautiful she was.

Kiera smiled and nodded her head at the waiter as he placed their food in front of them. It bothered her slightly that James had no real reply for her but just told her he was glad they had this chance to talk everything over. She didn't think that they were doing a very good job of talking about anything. Kiera picked at the chicken salad on her plate, very little of it making it to her mouth. She sipped some more of her tea, beginning to feel strange. Her body began to feel heavy as if her body weighed 50 pounds heavier than her 95 pounds. She felt very warm and could notice a pink tint on her vision. Kiera starting to feel a little panicky. Maybe her first instincts about the tea had been right. If they had been drugged, she was afraid. Medicines and potions affected her small body more than they did a normal sized person. It was a problem she had always had and avoided. She looked over at James, her eyes wide as she searched for a sign to know if he was okay.

James asked her a question. Was she okay? "No." she said softly, looking at her husband. "Something was wrong with that tea but I don't know what it was." she said, her voice low and calm, despite the panic she was feeling internally. "Are you okay?" she asked him back. How many things could in danger their lives in a months timespan? She noticed that her husband looked even more attractive to her than usual, if that was possible. Kiera was very attracted to her husband naturally so the tea did not do much but inhance her feelings of love. Kiera smiled at James, as she wanted to close the distance between them. His skin took on a slight glow in her vision which excited her. "What's going on?" she wondered outloud.

"Your both feeling the aphrodisiac effects of Le'Rouge's famous tea" Cynthia replied with a smirk as she walked out so that the two Potters could see her. She smiled as she walked up to them noticing that both of them hadn't even finished their drinks but also knowing that she had ordered them extra Rouge in their tea so it didn't matter. "Funny thing isn't it, It's meant to help both singles and couples fell the love that's all around them" Cynthia explained having been here several times since the start of the Tri Wizard Tournament. It was indeed one of her favorite spots especially since Le' Rouge's tea was banned in New Zealand and in twelve other countries across the world. Cynthia waved her wand as on of the Le' Rouge chairs appeared and she took a seat in between the couple who appeared both to be feeling the effect's of the tea quite well as they both seemed to be caught in a mix of flusters and glorification.

Cynthia smiled as the waiter brought over her tea and began to sip it, "Isn't this nice, the three of us sitting and chatting it up like good friends" Cynthia said as she looked at the pair with one of her famous smiles. "You both look wonderfully in love but there's definitely something else..." Cynthia mention as she placed her index finger on the lower part of her chin as though pondering something that she already knew about "Oh that's right!" Cynthia said with another smile as she pointed her index finger into the air and then preceded to take another sip of her tea."You know the Ministry has been keeping the info on what happened in Bleak Street a total secrete so naturally everyone knows something happened and a little birdie told me that you two were at the center of it" Cynthia said with a devilish smirk on her face. Cynthia loved gathering rumors and had quite a few contacts amongst the unknown members of the ministry who were all dying to lighten up the bore of their daily lives with some gossip, "So, tell me all about it" Cynthia said to the pair with another smile.

Kiera was startled as Cynthia Vandervoort walked around the corner so that she was visable to the young couple. She wanted to groan at the sight of the vile woman. She had once written an awful article about Kiera and James. At the time, she hadn't been involved with James but she spurred him into action. Though the thought would never occur to her that Cynthia pushed them together. It was something that would have happened on its own but Cynthia sped up the process. Kiera and James were meant to be together forever and nothing would have changed that. Now, Kiera sat glaring at the older woman. "I should have known you would have something to do with this." she said, begining to feel dizzy because of the potion. Could it have been too strong for the girl? Kiera wasn't surprised when Cynthia told them exactly what was in the tea. She glanced at James and saw he looked glorious in her eyes, and was momentarily distracted by her love for him.

When she was finally able to look away from James, Kiera found Cynthia pulling up a chair to sit with them. Kiera did not think this was good at all. There was something Cynthia wanted and Kiera only hoped that it wasn't another article. "No one asked you to join us." Kiera told her rather rudely. She did not want the gossip columnist joining the Potters on their date, not that she thought it was going well. James had been preoccupied with his thoughts and didn't seem to know how to talk to her, not a problem they had ever had. Kiera began to feel a little panicky as Cynthia mentioned Bleak Street. She did not want that broadcasted to the whole wizarding world. Kiera reached across the table for James' hand. Her head was swimming and making it very hard to think. "Whether we were or weren't isn't any of your concern." she said firmly, giving the hand she held a squeeze. Kiera was not at all liking the tea. Her vision was tinted pink, not to mention the headache she had.

James looked at Kiera wanting her to feel better but also being entranced with how she looked however that was quickly taken away as Cynthia Vandervoort appeared. James was surprised that she was here in France since she worked and lived in New Zealand, he wasn't surprised however that it had been her that had given them the tea and that she knew what was in it. James felt stupid, none of the other Quidditch Players that had been here had told him that the tea was drugged and had simply told him it was a great place to take the wife, now he knew why. James now found himself in a situation that was probably worse than in Bleak Street. James had so much more hope and faith back then and now he was filled with doubt that Cynthia's arrival seemed to only make things worse than they were before. "What are you doing here Vandervoort" James muttered however being her traditional witchy self Cynthia seemed to ignore him and pull a chair out for herself.

James listened while looking over at Kiera knowing that she too was feeling the same feelings he was, James didn't really know what they were going to do. Cynthia had actually played a very good move by ensuring that they would be drugged and wouldn't be able to just walk away from her. The fact that she was going on about things as though they were all chummy and did these things all the time, made this even worse. "Vandervoort, you already know we're not going to tell anyone about what happened especially you" James said as coldly as he could under the effects of the tea. Cynthia Vandervoort wasn't going to let this go, however James and Kiera didn't have to give her anything easily especially since they both knew she was just going to twist whatever it is they tell her for some stupid article. "Now if you don't mind please go somewhere else and fish for your article somewhere else or better just make up whatever it is that you think happened" James said as he looked at Kiera and smiled reassuringly.

Cynthia sighed as she looked at the pair of them, she had thought the prospect of them being in a better more loving mood might help loosen their tongue on the subject however the Potters seemed to be just as closed lip and cold hearted as they always were. "You know, you two act as though I'm such a monster" Cynthia said as she took another sip from her tea. They were right to think things of course since she was always out to get a scoop for another juicy article however this time was something different. "I know that I'm not completely honest and you know that if it wasn't for my little article that the two of you would probably be with other people pining for each other" Cynthia said with another of her devilish smiles. "You have to admit that I did help bring you two close together" Cynthia added as she looked at Kiera "If you must know I plan on expanding my resume by writing a book about what happened and you can't really stretched the truth that much when doing so" Cynthia said as she closed her eyes as though the very idea of not being able to make up stuff was horrible. "You owe me" Cynthia said with a smile as she turned towards James.

Cynthia then removed her smile with a closed lipped smirk "James do you really want me to make it up?" Cynthia said as she opened her purse and pulled out her quick quotes quill and notepad and stared at the two "I'm not above blackmail and if the two of you don't tell me what really happened then I will tell everyone that you two were expecting and that Kiera lost the baby during the attack" Cynthia said with a smirk as though it was an easy enough concept to understand "It would make my boring life here watching the tournament much more interesting to see everyone flip out over you two" Cynthia said as she took another sip of her tea "This stuff really is good isn't it?" Cynthia said as she laughed slightly and began glaring at the two of them waiting to hear what they would have to say about that. Cynthia wanted her book and she wasn't above doing what it took to get it written even if it meant making these two goody two shoes get a little muddy in the process.

Kiera smiled at her husband as he spoke to Cynthia, telling her to go away. She was pleased with that, though Cynthia made no move to leave. Kiera rolled her eyes as Cynthia said they acted as if she was a monster. The younger girl did think something exactly along those lines. "Why ever would we think that?" she asked Cynthia sarcastically. The potion was messing with her body but she could still think clearly if she focused her thoughts. She was annoyed as Cynthia said she had brought the two together. Kiera disagreed slightly. She thought that by now she and James would have been together, just not married. The article had simply moved things along. "James and I would have been together anyways. You can't take credit for that. You had nothing to do with the beginning." she said, thinking back to that night on the top of the north tower. Everything had seemed so perfect that night, not like real life. Horror flashed across her face as Vandervoort announced she was going to be writing a book. Kiera prayed it would not be solely about herself and her husband. "We don't owe you anything. You have done nothing but cause me problems." she retorted to the vile woman.

Kiera watched as Cynthia turned to James. She sighed internally. It would not be easy to get out of this situation, Kiera realized as the reporter pulled out her quick quotes quill. Shock flashed across her face as Cynthia told them what she would say happened in the fight if they didn't tell her the truth. That thought hadn't occured to Kiera yet. "Anyone who looked at me would see that wasn't true. Why would we have a child when I am just starting my Quidditch career?" she asked the woman, knowing that her own thoughts were very different on the subject now. However, Kiera was too tiny to have been pregnant anytime recently. "No one would believe you." Kiera told her firmly. She turned to look at James, waiting to see what he would say. She ignored the comment about the tea. Right now, it was the only thing keeping her and her husband here.

James could only listened as Cynthia and Kiera spoke the idea of Cynthia Vandervoort writing a book about the day of the attack was something that James really didn't want to think about at the moment. They had to get rid of her but James wasn't sure how considering the fact that even if they manage to get her away without having to tell her what she wanted, she would simply write another nasty Article about them. James flashed a look at Kiera as she spoke about how nobody would believe Cynthia and in his heart James wished that it was true however he had felt the effects of Vandervoort's lies in the past and knew that some people would indeed believe her story which meant that Kiera would have to suffer more simply because she was married to James. Looking at his chicken wraps and not feeling remotely hungry James realized that Cynthia had been in the restaurant the entire time and had likely heard them talking about having children. James hated the fact that she was using a private discussion as some sort've bargaining chip to get what she wanted.

"We don't owe you anything Vandervoort" James said agreeing with his wife while something came to his mind "However if we tell you what you want to hear then you have to promise to leave me and Kiera alone from now on" James said knowing that this was probably the best outcome for the situation. James hoped that Kiera wouldn't be mad at him and that she would understand that he was only agreeing to this so that they wouldn't have to endure more of Cynthia's bogus writing. "You also have to keep everything honest, no extra things or stretching the truth" James quickly added since he knew that if he didn't she would probably do it. "Do we have a deal?" James asked glaring at the vile woman. James had another motive for this little deal besides the peace and quiet of not having to worry about a nosy gossip writing following them around. James didn't know who the spirit that had appeared in front of Kiera was and he also didn't know who he was supposed to save, perhaps Vandervoort had some clue as to who he was and who James was asked to save. James looked at Kiera in order to see what her reaction was going to be knowing that he was making a deal that would effect both of them in a negative way.

Kiera looked at her husband with disbelief as James said they would talk to Cynthia about what happened on two conditions. She could hardly make sense of it. James Potter hated talking to the press about anything, yet alone something like what happened on Bleak Street. However, Kiera had complete faith in her husband. He had to have another motive for doing this, though she didn't know what it was. If he wanted to do this then she would trust him. James knew better how to handle the press than she did anyways. She nodded her head at her husband, squeezing his hand. This would bring back that painful night and the memories she was trying so hard to push to the back of her mind. Kiera turned her head to face Cynthia. "If that is what James wants to do, then I agree. But only under those conditions." she said, giving her consent.

Hearing James talk and make his conditions only one word came to Cynthia's mind JACKPOT! Cynthia's book so far only had what information she could get Acelin to grab in the old Daily Prophet Archives, that alone wouldn't be enough to make it a hit so she would have to milk as much information as she could from these two and then go after the two Aurors once she found out who they were. "Fine, Deal, whatever!" Cynthia said as she took another sip from her tea however it was all gone, looking at James and Kiera's tea's she noticed that they were cold and so Cynthia turned towards the waiter and smiled while saying "Le garçon, Trois plus de Thés". She then faced the Potters and smiled at the two of them, they were definitely going to help her make her career again since the Potters were full of juicy information and if she had to lie about leaving them alone then that was to easy. Especially since she now knew they were trying to have a child, Cynthia would be there when Kiera Potter lost that petit figure and Blimps out so that the whole world can see.

As the waiter returned with three Le' Rouge Tea's Cynthia immediately took another sip from her's and looked at the Potters. "Now where shall we begin.. ah yes state your name for the record" Cynthia said trying to keep everything as professional as possible. When it came to writing gossip stories she was more than a wild fire consuming everything in her path however writing a book that would be available for the open market brought a different side to Cynthia that if she cared enough about would probably have made her into a true writer for the Daily Prophet. After they had stated their names and the Quick Quotes Quill had finished writing Cynthia opened her purse and pulled out an envelope. "Now Mr. and Mrs. Potter I have a few questions for you however I would first like for you in your own words to please tell us what happened the day you two were walking down Bleak Street and were attacked" Cynthia said with a smile as the quill and Cynthia straighten up a little more trying to be professional.

James listened as Cynthia said she would agree to their terms not that James put Vandervoort's word that high on a ladder. James looked over at Kiera and saw her beauty but also saw that she was not liking this idea, James wasn't so sure about it either since essentially by talking with Vandervoort about this issue he was basically giving the Ministry a big finger despite the fact that it was because of them that James and his wife were still alive and well. James could feel the effects of the tea wearing off and perhaps Cynthia saw this as well since she ordered three more tea's. She was stupider than she looked if she actually believed that James and Kiera were going to drink anymore Le' Rouge Tea. The air was tense as James and Kiera waited for Cynthia to say something, to begin this ridicules charade that she called an interview so that the two could at least attempt to save the day. Finally as the tea's returned to the table and Cynthia took another sip, James merely looked at his own and then turned towards Kiera, the interview began.

"My name's James Sirius Potter" James said as the Quick Quotes Quill quickly began writing down his name. Once it was finished with the names James was asked to tell what had happened the day they were attacked. Before she asked however Vandervoort had pulled out an interesting envelope that she kept to herself for the moment. A plan began to form inside James' head, one that if done correctly would give him the information Cynthia held but also allow him and Kiera's story to remain off the front pages. "It was an average day, me and my wife were visiting her mother and on our way out we heard the sounds of a fight" James said casually enough as his mind began racing as to what was inside the envelope. "Two Ministry Auror's were fighting some sort've creature that is supposedly a Dark Presence" James said having never seen a Dark Presence before and simply thought they were a myth. "My wife and I helped them fight the creature and in the end we were all pretty messed up, however the creature was defeated" James said knowing that his side of the events was left vague on purpose.

Kiera politely refused the tea that Cynthia had order for her. She was not drinking anymore of that potion ever. She did not like how restrainted it made her feel, like she was heavy and couldn't move without being sluggish. Kiera carefully observed her husband without seeming as if she were doing so. She wished to know what was going on in his head. She knew he had to have a plan. For a brief second, she wished she had her mother's powers of legimency instead of her own skills in occlumency. The thought was quickly banished from her head as she knew it was an invasion of privacy. Then, she would be no greater than Cynthia Vandervoort. The woman had taken Kiera's personal life and made it into a story. The weeks following had been complete hell. Kiera hoped that James knew exactly what he was doing. She did not want to be in another situation like that if she could avoid it.

When asked to state her name, Kiera spoke in a clear, even voice. "I am Kiera Melanie Kingsley Potter." she said. It had been too difficult to decide what name she wanted to drop so she had kept both her middle and former last name. Kiera turned to look at her husband as they were asked to describe what happened to them. She picked up on the fact that James was being very vague and she had the feeling that it was intentional. Then, Cynthia looked at her with expectant eyes. Kiera smiled slightly, trying to keep herself from having another flashback which still happened fairly often. "James and I had been to visit my mother at her shop on Bleak Street. As we were leaving, we heard shouting and loud noises. We saw two Aurors' fighting a dark presence." she said her voice not betraying any emotion. "We helped defeat it and barely got away with our lives." she said, rephrasing James story slightly.

Kiera had known there were dark presences in the world and she had encountered them once before. It had been back when she first started at Hogwarts New Zealand. She had visited the Borely Manision. If it had not been for Professor King, Kiera would have died all those years ago at the hands of a dark presence. Only the people involved knew the story. James didn't even know.

"Interesting" Cynthia said as she looked at the pair, they were giving her details but were also being vague which could only mean that there was something interesting they were hiding. Cynthia wanted to know what they were hiding and thought that it wouldn't be too hard for her to reach in and nab whatever it was from them. All Cynthia had to do was get under their skins and then they would reveal everything to her, "Well then, I have a few questions I would like to ask each of you" Cynthia said as she turned towards Kiera. "You can both be present of course" Cynthia said with what was supposed to be a reassuring smile to James and Kiera however came off as one of her smuggest smile's that said she was in charge and that she would make the rules. Cynthia's Quick Quotes Quill was writing everything down as though it had been waiting all it's life for this moment and for once it kept things straight to the point without adding anything new.

"Mrs. Potter, exactly what were the injuries you obtained from the Dark Presence that was so close to taking your life?" Cynthia said with a slight smirk on her face as though she enjoyed the thought of Kiera bleeding all over the ground within an inch of her life. "Were you with child at the time? If not can you even have children now?" Cynthia said digging the questions in since she had indeed overheard the conversation earlier in which Kiera and James had spoken about wanting to have children. Perhaps if she unnerved the Potters a little they would become a bit more forthcoming with the details instead of giving her something that anyone could have told her. Cynthia took a sip of her tea as she waited for Kiera to respond then she added another question "Your mother lives in Bleak Street doesn't she? Could she have had anything to do with the arrival of the Dark Presence?" Cynthia said knowing that people who generally worked let alone lived there tended to be of a darker character than the norm.

Kiera watched Cynthia's reactions to what the Potters' said. Cynthia looked smug, as if she really had something up her sleeve. It was not a look Kiera liked at all. She was beginning to think it was impulse that made James agree to this interview, like so many of his decisions were. Again, she thought this was a very, very bad idea. Cynthia changed tactics as she said she wanted to asked each of them questions. Kiera kept her face blank except for a polite smile that was fixed upon her lips. She would not let this woman shake her up no matter what she tried. Kiera had experience hiding her emotions from reporters and her competition.

The questioning began as Cynthia turned to question Kiera. The younger girl was shocked at the types of questions the reporter wanted to know. However the shock did not show on her face. She wasn't sure how James wanted her to answer but she could only be so vague. "I was stabbed in my stomach area. It was trying to rip out my heart. I lost a lot of blood." she replied honestly, after all Vandervoort could probably have gotten that much information from St. Mungo's. "I was not with child and I have never been with child. I suppose I would be able to have children but I would have to gain more body fat first." she said with a faint sense of humor. It was common logic that Kiera was too lean to have children. Kiera remained calm as the questions turned to her mother. "My mother just owns a shop there, she doesn't live there." she corrected Cynthia. "She could not have been involved in the slightest. She is not at her shop often and there is no way she would send me into a trap." Kiera said confidently.

Cynthia listened as Kiera Potter answered her questions her eyes dashing towards her pad and quill which was quickly scribbling down everything that was being said. She also looked over at James and then back at Kiera enjoying every minute of this little get together. "So you saying you don't know if you might ever be able to have children?" Cynthia added as her quill wrote it down. "Interesting" Cynthia said in response to her quill's scribbling. "So your sure that your mother wouldn't send you into a trap but what's to say she wasn't attempting to hurt someone else?" Cynthia asked as she turned towards James "After all Mrs. Potter, we have to assume that any number of Death Eaters or even Dark Wizards would see a great thrill by hurting Harry Potter" Cynthia said casually. This however was small fish and Cynthia was after bigger story, the one that would make her book a best seller and ensure that everyone in the wizarding world would want to read it.

"Describe the creature in your own words please" Cynthia said as she turned towards her tea and took another sip that was slowed and drawn out as she listened to Kiera talk once more. "Why didn't you try taking it down with serious magic?" Cynthia asked implying that they should've used the unforgivable curse to kill the creature "I'm sure the Ministry would've considered it more than justified don't you?" Cynthia asked as she placed the envelope back into her bag and continued listening to Kiera talk. Cynthia was ready now to pull out the big gun that would definitely unnerve the Potters and make her interview more complete. "I overheard your desire to have children now Mrs. Potter, is it because you were so close to dying? Do you plan to put your Quidditch and Gymnastics career aside simply because of a near brush with death?" Cynthia asked with another of her all knowing smirks.

Kiera scolded herself for allowing Cynthia to twist her story around. She was going to have to pay more attention to how she phrased her answers from now on. The quill dashing across the pad of paper annoyed her. The brand of quill was infamous for libel. Kiera shook her head with a smile on her face. "Goodness, no! Of course I will be able to have children." she said as if Cynthia was foolish for even suggesting otherwise. When it came to her mother, the question was much more tricky. Kiera knew that Jacqueline was a Death Eater though she wouldn't dare tell a reporter than. After all, she had a new brother who was only a year old. Gabriel Black needed his mother. Kiera pretended to look puzzled. "What do Dark Wizards or Death Eaters have to do with my mother?" she asked as if she wasn't sure what Cynthia meant. "Mother wouldn't want to hurt anyone. Plus the creature was definitely not something a human could create." Kiera said firmly.

Kiera dreaded the next question she had to answer. It was about the appearance of the creature. She would be very vague on this answer. "It didn't really have a solid shape." she said, not elaborating further. Kiera answered the next question in a round about way. "James and I have never practiced that kind of magic. The thing that worked best was patronuses." she said grimly. Kiera did not allow surprise to leak into her facial expressions as Cynthia repeated the conversation that was private between her husband and herself. She counted to three inside her head to compose her answer. "Close calls with death always make you think about what is important in life. That conversation you overheard was not everything. Right now I am focusing on my Quidditch as well as my gymnastics. I want another Olympic goal medal before I have to give it all up." she lied smoothly. Kiera was a good liar, she was extremely convincing.

Cynthia simply smiled as she listened to Kiera's words all of which were things that Cynthia expected and wasn't surprised about "Thank you Mrs.Potter for all of the illuminating answers you gave me, I'm sure they will be a central piece in my book" Cynthia said with a malevolent flash in her eyes. It wasn't as if Cynthia wasn't as if Cynthia was going to lie, it was just easy to mold the truth so that her readers could get their money's worth. Cynthia took another sip of her tea as she waited for her quill to catch up. Once it had finished Cynthia turned towards James and smiled once more, "Well well well Mr.Potter I guess it's your turn now" Cynthia said with another of her smirks as she opened the envelope and revealed several pictures that immediately began to sort themselves onto the table. "Rumor has it that the Dark Presence was Luxen Silverback, however he's not the only person that has died in Bleak Street" Cynthia said with a hint of joy in her voice.

"I was wondering if you might be able to pick out, any of these men and if they had any relevance to the attack on you and your wife" Cynthia said with a smile as she waited for James to peruse and answer. James Potter however seemed lost in his own little world which meant that for Cynthia he might be easier to untangle then his wife. "So James, your wife seems to have taken a new look on life with the attack but what have you gained out of it?" Cynthia asked as her notebook felt the scribbling stings from the Quill "After all being the son of Harry Potter I'm sure your used to the death and fear that comes with your last name, I can't imagine you would gain something so simple as the joy of living from such an even and I'm sure my readers would love to know what's on your mind" Cynthia said with a hint of spice in her voice, it was such a turn of events that she had come in here simply for tea and now was sitting in front of two fat golden eggs ready to hatch and give her a great story.
