Violette still wasn't used to the castle, and she preferred being outside. The weather was still cold, so she had wrapped up in a scarf and hat before heading out onto the lawn. She had also brought a cup of tea from breakfast, despite being worried it wouldn't be allowed. She would bring it back later, or bring it to the kitchens. She told herself it would be okay. The girl wandered around on the lawn for a bit before she saw a good spot to sit, between the roots of one of the bigger trees on the lawn. Violette sat down, making herself comfortable, holding the cup of tea in her hands. She took a sip and glanced over at the forbidden forest. She wondered, not for the first time, what sort of adventures could be found there. But those were only for heroes, like characters in the books she liked. Violette herself would never set foot there, she was too terrified. But it was still nice to daydream about it.

Arthur was bored. He hated being bored. He was wandering around, bored, not really sure what he wanted to do but after something. He noticed a younger girl sitting tucked away and looking longingly at the forest. Curious, he walked over, hands in his pockets. He leaned down a bit to catch her eye. "Hello," He greeted softly. He wanted to know what she was doing, why she was staring and not just going in.

Violette was just imagining that deep in the woods was a clearing with giant mushrooms, like she had seen in one of the fairy tale books she'd borrowed from the library, when she was shaken from her thoughts by an older boy. She blinked in surprise as he suddenly leaned down and greeted her, completely frozen for a moment. She hadn't even heard him approach, too caught up in her daydreams. "Uh," she stammered. "Hello..." She said nervously, wondering what the boy wanted.

Arthur smiled as he caught her attention, moving to sit in front of her, crossing his legs. "What are you thinking about?" He asked, a little unceremoniously perhaps but still, he was curious. She had a far off look in her eye, and it made him want to know what was going through her mind. She was actually really pretty now that he was sitting in front of her.

Violette's eyes widened in alarm as the boy sat down in front her, she hadn't been expecting that. She blinked at him for a moment, glancing around then to see if he was alone. But there was no other group of boys nearby to laugh at her, so maybe it wasn't some sort of joke or trick? "Uh," Violette said again, mostly trying to buy some time so she could think of what to say. "The forest." She finally said, before looking down at her tea. "Nothing important." She added quickly. Her heart was racing. Should she have said that much? What if the boy was going to tell a teacher she had been thinking about going into the forest? She hadn't been, but maybe he assumed she had.

Arthur tilted his head to the side. "The forest isn't dangerous." He murmured, not liking how distressed the girl looked. "I could show you." He offered, even if he was sure she would say no. He didn't know why he was interested- he didn't care about girls, not really. Or boys. He liked Apollo, and he liked teasing Rose. But that was about it.

Violette couldn't help being a little fearful of this older boy, even though he seemed nice to her. She frowned at his words, shaking her head slightly. "It's forbidden because it is dangerous." She told him, wondering if he had somehow missed that. "Uh, no thank you." She added quickly as he offered to show her. The thought of going into the forbidden forest was one thing when she was daydreaming, but actually going there was a terrifying thought. But that did make her wonder something, and she couldn't help asking it. "Have you... gone there?"
