Ash Wand 14 1/4" Essence of Hair from the Tail of a Male Unicorn
This is it Mike breathed heavily, looking nervously at the spectators. It was his time to shine. He had been chosen to represent Hogwarts, he couldn't back out now. He listened to the outline of the task and repeated it to himself in his mind, before given the go ahead to start. His hand grasped his wand, it gave him some comfort that it was there. He walked very slowly at first into the forest. Mike was trying to recall the runes he was looking for. He had never studies Ancient Runes before, but now wished he had. He tried to focus on the task ahead, if he was to have a good chance of winning. He walked a bit quicker now that he had entered the forest. He took a sharp left, going where instinct told him to. Of course I could be wrong and should have turned right Mike debated with himself, but then decided that there was no point arguing with himself. The forest gave an eerie atmosphere. It was nothing like the one back at Hogwarts, it seemed less intimidating. He stopped looking around, hoping for a hint or sign. Sighing heavily, he decided to continue forwards, realising that it probably wouldn't help. He would just be wasting time. "Lumos" Mike whispered, the instant light, making it easier to see in the darkening environment.

The Veela danced about the dark forest, at peace with herself, as her long blonde locks gently swam around her. She knew of her task but was currently unaware of when it was to commence as she was kept ignorant, much to her displeasure. The dancing of the beautiful woman stopped as she heard a crack from a twig underneath a boy's shoe and the instant illumination that she saw from the wand in his hand. Her pale brown eyes turned towards him and she drew him in, using her charm that could render any man useless. Little did the boy know that she had a plan after she drew him in.

Mike changed direction, he took a little detour. He didn't know why he changed direction, but something was leading him over here. He continued to light his way. The trees seemed to be a bit daunting now towering like skyscrapers. His breathing became a bit more heavier but he knew that pressure was toppling him. He needed to find these darn runes and he needed to find them quickly. He had no idea how long it had taken the champion before him to complete the task, but the quicker the better was Mike's theory. His thoughts came to a halt momentarily. He stopped for a moment. Something sent a chill up his spine. SNAP came a sound. Mike shuddered, his hairs standing on end. He looked for the source of the sound and looked directly below him, he had stood on a twig. His heart continued to beat fast, but soon enough it slowed down. Come on, pull yourself together Mike told himself encouraging himself onwards. You've got just as good a chance as any to win this thing Mike repeated to himself over and over. He continued to walk, although his pace had slowed down a bit. He stopped for a moment, analysing his surroundings, before letting his guard down whilst he rested upon a tree, trying to get his breath back. He wasn't sure how long had passed, and didn't want to hazard a guess. He took some deep breaths, and continued to advance into the unknown.

The second Veela was confident in her charms, though in for a rude awakening. Luring the young male should have been a simple task. Instead, the idiot seemed to prefer her sister. The spurned Veela succumbed to vanity. This so-called champion would pay the price for ignoring her.

The whelp had decided to play with fire, so he would take the heat. The veela's arm vaulted backward, a ball of flame catapulting from her hand and careening into the boy. She launched a second and a third for good measure.

Looking as if he had stepped into a furnace, the Hogwarts champion conceded defeat. Sparks vaulted into the skies and plead for help. Smirking and tossing gossamer locks, the veela stomped off.

With hands clasped together, Amable sat with the other judges of the task as the three champions entered the forest to determine the task at hand. Amable yearned for his school champion Aubrey to find Thurisa and Mannaz the fastest, and to have his school win the tournament. He had put his faith into his student, and not a doubt in mind came to him. His eyes gazed toward the sky, seeing sparks rise. Amable stood up and flourished his wand as he walked off of the judge's platform, followed by the other two judges. Upon entering the forest, they followed from where the sparks originated. The crowd was more than likely saddened that Mike Goulding had to send up sparks and call for help, though the Hogwarts judge was more than likely more than disappointed.

The sight itself was to be expected out of a dangerous tournament. Veelas were no walk in the beach. On the ground rested Mike Goulding, Hogwarts champion. Amable bent down and he lifted the burned teenager into his arms. The three judges exited the forest, and sought out medical attention for Mike Goulding. Amable and the other judges returned to their seats, as Mike received the medical attention he deserved. His eyes locked onto the sky, secretly hoping that he would not see sparks from his own champion.
