Open Swing Batter Batter Swing

Senna was absolutely thrilled with her costume this year. It felt fun. Even if she knew probably half of the students around the hall wouldn't even know what she was dressed as. She didn't particularly care about that though. She liked it and that was really all that matterd. Keeping in the spirits of her costume Sen had made her way over towards the Grindylow pinata, keen to see if she could hit it a few times. She watched as another student took a shot at it, calling out encouraging words as they swung the bat around.

Leah liked Halloween a lot. It was a shame her family never celebrated it growing up even though they must have while they were at school. She felt like she had a lot of lost years to make up for and while her costume wasn't that creative, it still felt nice to dress up and she threw herself into the festivities whole heartedly. The grindylow pinata had caught her eye right away and she gripped the bat tightly before taking a swing. She had been practicing with Chase and while she hadn't been cut out for the quidditch team she still knew her arm was pretty good. She made solid contact and grinned when she heard someone cheer for her. Leah grinned and turned to see a girl from her house. "Thanks!" she laughed. "Do you want a go?" she asked and held out the bat.

Senna was quite impressed with how the girl in front of her was hitting at the pinata. Although she did worry the girl might actually break it before she got a chance to swing at it as well. "For sure!" She nodded confidently before taking the bat from her. Sen lined up in front of the pinata and gave it her best shot. Which was really not that good. Especially not when she put way too much force into her swing and ended up spinning in a circle rather than hitting the pinata. "Good thing I never tried out to be a beater." She snorted when she looked back at the girl that had handed her the bat.
