Aiden quickly stuffed the last of his things into his duffle bag in a rush, and running late as usual, his bag charmed to hold more than it looked, yet feeling as light as a feather carried the essentials, clothing, money, camping supplies, you name it. Graduating from Durmstrang gave the newly eighteen year old a new found sense of freedom, partially because he was finally able to drink legally now, and partially because it meant the wizard could now travel anywhere he wanted with the aid of apparition. His plans were to arrive at Madlyn's new home, surprising her with his presence and finally seeing her again after being separated for countless miles. With a lingering glance over his shoulder to check his room in case he missed anything, Aiden quickly disappeared, arriving just down the road of Madlyn's supposed new abode. Aiden had missed her, after becoming friends with the girl, his mind tended to focus on her more than any other friend he had made. Without question, Aiden was nervous to see Madlyn again, the butterflies in his gut worsened as he looked around, the only way he could go was forward, yet Aiden's short attention span caused him to apparate to another destination, to gain some Dutch courage first, before finally arriving at Madlyn's new home.

The musician arrived at an unfamiliar pub, and spent the next few hours drinking, laughing and having fun with a bunch of strangers. That was what alcohol did to Aiden, made him confident, and uncaring of what others thought of him, a trait needed when he was sober, yet only awakened with alcohol. A hasty goodbye followed, once the eighteen year old realised the time, and Aiden apparated once again just down the road of Madlyn's home. He stumbled, his duffle bag hanging loosely off his shoulder, and after arriving at her front gate, Aiden took an unexpected detour, to the barn. In all his drunkenness, he felt he had to rest, as soon as possible, and he decided the barn would be the right place to rest for the night. Alcohol caused the eighteen year old to make many a stupid decision, sleeping in Madlyn's barn being one of them. But as Aiden climbed through one of the barns windows, the decision to stay there seemed like one of the best he ever made. The musician dropped his light duffle bag, and fell forwards into a pile of hay, a smile gracing his lips as his closed his eyes and drifted off to sleep.

Madlyn awoke that next morning in her bed and in hew new room; her dark brown eyes first met the mirror that posed right in front of her largely hand built bed. Mom had surprised them with such a big move, not only was she not in Ireland but she was in a new part of Europe all together. The shock was still brand new, mom decided on her own she would find a place in Netherlands, South Holland to be exact in the city of Leiden. She was both sad and happy about the news, Jackie was pleased. She had revealed by the third day a few of her friends from Hogwarts Scotland lived nearby, Madlyn was starting to think Jackie had something to do with this new move all together. As much as Ireland sounded great, Madlyn was fine with whatever. As long as her family was around, she willingly situated herself with her new home.

This meant the same old house chores for her. She drags herself out of bed, in pj bottom and some short sleeves, walking over to her big set of boots; Madlyn pushed them on and headed outside to the barnyard. Her long hair was wrapped the night before, her mom had fancied doing braids on her. They were tucked away under a long scarf so she worried nothing of hair. What was she expecting, the lord of England of something to be inside her barnyard, she climbed over large barrels. She grasp on a large cup of bird seeds for the chicks and a few apples that were held in storage for the pigs, she would have to scatter the hay for the family cow. Madlyn undid the lock, the bag swung by the back of her shoulder, her hand wrapped around the bag. She grip tight walking inside the barn, her eyes scan the room to see what task she would tackle down first.

Aiden body was slightly covered in hay when she first saw him; he stood out like a wart on a thumb. Clearly something that did not belong here and how he had found her was the first thing she wanted to know. ”Aiden?”

Aiden awoke to his head pounding, hay tangled within his wavy brunette hair, and a familiar voice uttering his name. The eighteen year old, still half asleep barely noticed Madlyn's entrance, but her voice announced her arrival more than the faint sound of footsteps ever could. Aiden groaned in reply to the part giant, stirring slightly while trying to get into grips with his hangover in full effect. Aiden felt himself dose off to sleep for another few minutes, before finally choosing to get up our of the pile of hay and talk to Madlyn. He had tried to gain up enough courage to talk to her he night before, and that had ended in a disaster, so had the first time had had drank, it seemed alcohol did nothing good for the newly eighteen year old, more so than other people, or maybe just as much, however they were better at hiding that fact. The musician ran his hand through his wavy brunette locks turning around on the pile of hay, sitting up while his headache worsened at his sudden movements.

He sighed, not bringing his eyed to meet Madlyn's, the girl who made him want to drink, and have more confidence, confidence enough to talk to a pretty face like hers, yet Aiden wouldn't tell a soul about this, especially not Madlyn herself. The two were ex neighbours, who had a friendship which could hardly be described as normal. Starting with a tea party and continuing with sending letters back and forth, Aiden had no assurance he could even call what he and Madlyn shared as friendship. He rubbed his eyes, and stood up slowly, before finally saying a word, something to end the silence which had since dawned after Madlyn said his name. "Morning." He uttered, sounding more lethargic than he felt, his speech slowed down by the alcohol still lingering in his system. He scuffed his shoe against the barn floor, still unable to bring his eyes in contact with Madlyn, something he preferred under the circumstances.

Madlyn drift back and fourth, her legs swayed on their own. She was holding up all her strength and it was letting go on it's own. she was worried about her friend here, all these bad thoughts came jumbling insider her head. what would've happen if she had not saw him or if her mom would've been the one to see him. her mom still had no clue about Aiden, she knew he existed but not in her sixteen year old daughter dreams. If she was the one to wake up this morning to sort out the animals this morning, Madlyn could see already how bad of an idea this would've been with mom finding Aiden instead of her. She didn't have confidence in Aiden for not thinking this through. He smelled of something rancid and he was covered in a bit of hay, some of it was inside his cute curly hair. madlyn drop the bag, one hand pressed at the side of her temple, she must be dreaming or something, that would explain so much. She had to be sleeping, she had to be sleeping, she had to be sleeping.

Oddly she was not, Madlyn thought it was a bad thing beforehand, after a while her feeling had changed. Mom would be okay with this, right she will. She used the top of her hand to rub her forehead, okay don't panic. Think of it as a friendly gesture? Yes that way, if I get grounded, all I have to say it was a friendly gesture. "Morning, what are you doing here Aiden? And how did you find me?" her mixed Irish and American accent double over her words, she looked confused and a little flattered that he'd had actually found her in the Netherlands out of all places, here, South Holland was it? she had no idea, "You look a little rough there, can I get you anything?!" she sat down on the hays make it easy for him to see her and not have to look up breaking his neck to speak to her.

Aiden kept his gaze to the barn floor, his attention on the loose bits of hay scattered everywhere, which in a way reminded the musician of home, wherever home was. Honestly Aiden didn't have a concept of home, the only constants in his life being family and music, friends were out of the question because of the frequent relocating Aiden had to follow his parents through. Although he was now eighteen, and able to move out, he had no reason to leave his family behind, being the best and most reliable support system he ever had besides his music, and Madlyn in a way. Aiden finally gained the courage to look up from the floor, and at Madlyn once she spoke, after what seemed an eternity. He shrugged, surely Madlyn could answer her own questions, Aiden had travelled to see her, that fact stuck out obviously, and he had found her with the aid of his parents, who were acquainted with Madlyn's mother due to being neighbours before Madlyn's move to the Netherlands. A simple question got a simple answer, and as soon as possible Aiden was packed and ready to see his friend after graduating. Madlyn's mother would be able to explain that later, once she knew Aiden had travelled to see her daughter.

The musician nodded at his part-giant friend, holding his hand against his forehead, hoping it would numb his headache, but failing at it, opening his mouth to reply once blinking a few times to orientate himself. "Yeah aspirin would be great, thanks, oh and a shower." He said before chuckling quietly and taking a small step forward. "A hug hello would be great too." His words sounding surprisingly cheerful through his splitting headache and overall torturing hangover. He moved to retrieve his duffle bag, slinging it around his shoulder, and gripping the strap, leaning forward on his toes for a moment. He raised an eyebrow at his friend, looking expectantly towards her, no doubt still wanting a hug from his friend, since the two hadn't seen one another in so long.
