Surprise

As Riley pushed Adele's shirt over her head, the lies got all too much for Adele. Tears began to drop from her eyes as she escaped from Riley, and put her hands on his chest as she faced him again, so he was against the wall. "Riley I can't do this.....I'm sorry." She said softly, trying to hold back the tears as Adele placed her hands on either side of Riley's neck.

Adele looked at Riley as she began to cry. She soon realised that she couldn't face him anymore, and pushed him away. It wasn't his fault, he hadn't done anything wrong, but Adele needed to clear the tears from her face before she looked him in the eyes again. If she was going to tell him, she was going to tell him properly, not all soppy with tears streaming from her eyes. "Just give me a minute alright." Adele said tearfully before walking out of the room, and leaning against the wall, before sinking to the ground and putting her head in to her lap, and her hands over her head. Adele cried her eyes out, she almost hoped that Riley would come and check on her, it would at least mean that she would get one last hug, before everything turned to nothing.

As Riley kissed Adele he could feel liquid on his face. He pulled away to see what it was only to find her crying. "Is my kissing seriously that bad?" He asked with a smile trying to cheer her up. It was strange how just the other minute she seemed happy. He put his hands no her shoulders and nodded slowly. He respected what ever reason she had for not wanted to do his, he wasn't going to force her if she didn't want to. "Don't need to apologise Adele. Im not forcing you to do anything you don't want to." He said kissing her forehead. He leant back against the wall an gave Adele a bit of space, thinking she may need it for a few minute. He didn't wan to invade he person space.
Riley had to swallow a lump which had forced in his throat as Adele cried. He felt upset seeing her upset. He himself had to hold back tears. He cleared his throat as she left. Giving himself a minute to calm down a little bit and et himself together before he chased after her. He ma not know what as up but that didn't mean her couldn't be her shoulder to cry on. He walked into the hallway and sighed with very slight comforting smile. "A minute is too short. Have all the time you need." He said as he hugged her from behind. He kissed the back of her neck gently. He could smell the shampoo which she uses on her hair, the familiar and welcoming smell of it made him feel right at home in his unfamiliar house.
 
Adele allowed Riley to hug her for a while, and hoped that her conscience would let her stay there, in his arms for a while. Adele slowly turned around to face Riley, placed her hands slowly onto either side of his neck, then leaned in and kissed him softly on the lips. Adele closed her eyes, and held the kiss for as long as Riley would allow her to. When the kiss had finished she looked at him. "Riley I need to tell you something." She said calmly, trying to stop another tear from falling. "Can we talk?" She asked tenderly, knowing that deep inside, Riley would already know that a 'talk' meant bad news. Adele held out her hand to Riley, and lead him back into the bedroom. Adele sat on the end of the bed as she waited for Riley. "Come here." She said with a weak smile, tapping the space beside her.
 
Riley kissed Adele back, not for long though because he knew something was up with her, he didn't want to be the way that he got rid of her sadness, not like that anyway. He pulled away ad looked at her. His fears soon came true. She had to talk to him. Bad news for sure. What had happened. Was she pregnant again? Was she ill in some way. He took hold of her hand and followed her slowly in to their room. He let go of her hand and watched her sit own on the bed. He went over and sat next to her when she asked him to to came over. Placing his hand on hers he looked at her concerned. "Adele whats wrong? Talk to me" He said although it came out as more of a whisper.[/small]
 
Adele could tell that Riley was concerned for her, but there was no need for him to be. Adele knew fully well that he would hate her in a matter of minutes. Adele looked at Riley's hand which was on hers as she spoke. "Riley...I've done something that I'll never forgive myself for...and I wouldn't be surprised if you chucked me out after you've heard what I'm about to say." Adele took a deep breath in then turned to face Riley, looking him in the eyes with tears falling from hers.

"Riley, you know Hadan don't you? I don't think I need to explain myself really...but well...we met one evening...and...well...I think you know what happened next..." Adele said, full of regret as she spoke. "But I'm SOOO sorry my gorgeous boy...please don't be mad..." Adele begged as she cried and cried.
 
Riley was intrigued by Adele's words. What had sh done that she couldn't forgive herself. More importantly what had she done that would make Riley want to throw his wife and mother of his child out in to the cold outside. His eye brows knitted together as he looked at her curiously. He had thoughts rushing threw his head, he was thinking of so many things which she could have done although none being the fact that she had cheated on him.

As Adele egan to explain Riley listened carefully although he guessed as soon as she mentioned a guy. He instantly let go of her hand and stood up from the bed and walked to the ther end of the room. His back to her he looked at the wall with a shocked and confused look on his face. he didn't know the guy but he had a feeling that he was going to get to know him very soon. How could she have cheated on him.He had been trying so hard to be loyal for her. He thought that she would return hat favour. He couldn'tt find his voice for a moment. "Mad?" He said slowly. He wasnt mad. Mad didnt even come in to what he was feeling. "Im not mad." He said with a sigh as he turned to look a her. "I am however. Hurt. Sad. Confused. Stupid. Betrayed. Do yo want me to continue because the list id long How could you do that after everything. You know have tried so hard to be loyal and you just go and throw it in my face. What the hell Adele." He said quickly. He didnt move close to her though, he didnt trust himself.
 
Adele sat in silence as Riley spoke, scared to go anywhere near him. She had expected this reaction, but Adele hoped for dear life that in a few weeks time, Riley would find a place in his heart to forgive her. Adele stood and slowly walked towards Riley as he finished speaking. But she didn't touch him, she already knew she'd get rejected if she did. "Riley this is my mistake...my problem....and you will never know how sorry I am...but please...give me just this one chance." Adele begged, hoping Riley would come round eventually, but knowing inside that her hopes were false hopes.

"Riley, I know what I've done has wasted all the effort that you've put in to be loyal to me...but you made the same mistakes that I have made in the past...and I never battered an eye-lid...and now you're having a go at me...think about this Riley." She said, eventually stretching out her hand and touching his lower arm, gently rubbing it. "Please Riley." Adele said, tears pouring from her eyes, as she tried to make contact with Riley's.
 
Riley stared at the wall blankly as Adele spoke. It was hardly even registering with him any more. His body felt weak but at the same time pump with energy, with anger....With hatred. He heard Lowan start to cry an he was snapped back to the real world like an elastic band. He walked strait past Adele with out looking or speaking t her. He walked towards his son and picked im up to stop him fro crying. "I think I need time to think about this. I think we need a break, split up." He said absent mindedly as he rocked Lowan back to sleep. He was keeping his voice don at a normal tone so Lowan wouldn't think they were fighting. "There is a difference though. You know what was like before me and you happened. If I wasn't like that then me and you would be here now. There's a difference. I didn't think you would ever cheat on me of I was loyal to you. Now I want to go and clear my head." He said placing Lowan back in to the crib when he was sleep. "Don't try an follow me That will only make it worse." He walking past her again and down stair and out of the door. He walked back to wards the park and tried to clear his head.
 
Adele watched as Riley rocked Lowan back to sleep. He was a brilliant dad, and the words that Riley spoke barely went in as Adele cried and cried. She stood over Lowan's cot as Riley finished speaking. "Okay...but think about it won't you..." Adele said, unable to get any more words out before tears overcame her. suddenly ran to the toilet, and was violently sick as she though of life without Riley around. As she reached Lowan's cot again, Adele sunk to the ground in floods of tears, as she sat, leaning against Lowan's cot for support. "I love you Riley." She said to herself, as she heard the front-door slam shut.
