Sage had not intended to go to this Yuleball, not at the beginning of the year anyway. She didn't really see the point because she didn't ever get asked to it, and at the start of this year her anger told her she wouldn't go. Generally she went alone and had fun with the night, but there was always that annoying thing of not being asked. However, despite this, it didn't stop her enthusiasm over being able to attend such a thing when the time finally came around and she was no longer as angry. She liked getting more dressed up than normal. She liked finding the right dress which hugged her figure, she liked making an effort to the rest of the school, and believing herself above it. Happily Sage was getting ready for this yuleball. She had picked out her dress while others had been studying for their exams. She unlike most did not have exams that she needed to worry about really. Not quite yet, so that was why she was interested in this ball more than she'd been interested in the others. She had chosen the dress with care, though all it really was, was a black dress. It was simple but it still showed all that she wanted it to. It was short, and strapless, but it suited her thin frame and long legs. She liked it, and when she slipped into the dress after having done her make-up to the kind of perfection she was hoping to achieve, she found a smile growing on her face.

With that all done, the girl slipped on her high heels and then walked out of the dorm room. She knew that she had no need to rush, and so did not, just walked to the Great Hall. She spent a few moments glancing around at all the people already there. Smiling at the array of different outfits. She was mentally judging them, but that wasn't the primary point of this night. Instead she was just happily walking into the room, wandering around till she reached the drinks table. She got herself something to drink and then wandered away from the table. She was trying to spot someone she knew but was having no such luck with it, mostly just because Sage knew so few people, and she really didn't want to spend this yuleball with the younger student she'd spent Halloween with. Instead she decided to just take a seat. She sat down at an empty table and kept just watching the people in front of her. It was funny, everyone in the room was sharing the night but they were all in their little worlds, there was not much interaction between the people. Not that much at all. Sage smiled to herself as she raised the glass to her lips and took a long sip. Soon she'd have her wand back, soon it was the holiday and soon everything from this term would be meaningless.
