Sage Ottavi was a fourth year, who despite her many talents lack primarily in once place, and that was friends. While she had some people that she knew, mostly from the monthly, she couldn't claim that she had many more friends than that. Even if she really didn't think of those people as really even being her friends, she never spent time with any of them outside of her time within that room. Which wasn't the best thing, since it meant that now she was a fourth year, and she didn't really have any friends. Which wasn't a particularly good thing. Since she would probably end up continuing this trend until she left school. Sage was argue that she wasn't particularly social, it wasn't that she was shy, she just didn't often mind being alone, and was not really the type to strike up a conversation with anyone about anything, unless it was really necessary, so the teen knew full well that she was to blame for her own lack of friends, but Sage had decided enough was enough, she had to start making friends, and if that just meant trying to talk to a couple more people every day, then that was what she was going to do. Sage did want to change herself too much for others, she'd never particularly liked that when others did it, so she wasn't interested in that herself, she just decided that perhaps she should tone down the sarcasm, and perhaps try being a little nicer to people when she first met them. Boys, were different, as Sage was beginning to see real changes in her body, she realised that the combination of her mother's latin american genes and her father's New Zealand genes, she had the best of two worlds. But, that wasn't of much issue that day, It was sunny out, and Sage decided that this would be a good time to get some rays, and perhaps build up her fading tan. Which did fade every time she was in New zealand, and not in the sun. She had decided on a pair of shorts, from the year before which had fitted her fine then, but now, she knew that if she grew any taller they would be just too short, on top of this, she had a loose fitting plain white shirt. It gave Sage a much summer feel and look than it might actually be outside.

Having decided as she'd gotten ready that she wanted to go outside, the teen had brought along a number of things to occupy her as she sat outside in the sun. Most of which were magazines, but she had brought a few other things too. The thing she was working on for the monthly, the letter her father had sent that she was yet to reply to, and her cards. Sage was not so interested in spending the day studying, so she had brought nothing like that. She had been sure to empty her bag of all things like that, things that she just simply didn't really need to be bringing with her outside. Sage smiled to herself, as she realised she was finally ready to go, and without a moment more lost, the girl headed out the door and to the gardens. The gardens were her favourite bit outside at Hogwarts. Sage loved flowers and she loved beautiful gardens. She found the lake nice, and the cliffs were fun, but the gardens were the sort of beautiful that lasted, that needed care and she liked that more. Which was why, Sage always opted for that option over others. Her name, her full name included two flowers, so it was almost predestined that she like flowers. However, this love of flowers didn't mean that she sat making flower crowns, or felt the need to join the wild patch society. sage was not that keen on being too overly involved in school. She did the minimum. Arriving at the gardens, Sage just stood for a moment taking it all in before, heading further inside and looking for a spot with good enough sunlight so that she could enjoy it. Finally she found a large stretch of grass, in the middle of many flowers, so wandered to the centre, and from within her bag, pulled out a towel, which she lay on the grass and then proceed to sit on. She smiled to herself, she knew this wasn't the most proactive way for her to find, or get friends but Sage wasn't going to go to any more effort than minimally necessary. Which was why she had found herself here, and was happy to just be sitting in the sun, that was weakly warmly, and just enjoy herself doing what pleased her. Should someone come along and speak with her, she would not turn down the company.
