Sofia was excited for the Halloween Feast because she loved dressing up in costumes and seeing what others could come up with. Today she had chosen to dress up as a baker with a pink dress and a black polka dot apron that she really did sometimes wear when helping her mom out in the kitchen. She didn't have a chef's hat to add to her outfit so she made sure to pin her hair up nicely since all professional chefs and bakers always kept hair out of their faces. To complete her look she was holding an empty bowl with a whisk and flour for full effect, but now she had to work hard not to accidentally spill flour anywhere.

When she arrived at the Great Hall she was amazed by how it was decorated and didn't know where to go first, but she figured the food table was the best bet. When she got there she saw many pumpkin pasties and various other pastries like cupcakes. She decided to take a few and began adding them into her bowl so they could enhance her costume for the full baker effect, maybe she could even share some with others.

Halloween was something they'd usually celebrate at the muggle world back at home, sure, but as someone who grew up wealthy, of course their celebrations were lavish, which meant it was boring. So you could only imagine how big the smile that broke out on Lorraine's face was when she heard that they were not to be going home for the Halloween holidays and that the school was going to hold their own Halloween party inside the castle.

She wore her dream costume ever since she was little, a zombie cheerleader. She had bits of her faces green and even snuck in the kitchens to retrieve a few coloring dies to get the illusion of blood and made a paper mache brain and painted it pink to complete her look.

When she arrived, she was utterly amazed of the decorations, it had looked 100 times better than she'd imagined, and that was coming from someone that could probably afford a cage of ravens if she asked, though her parents would, of course, still not permit it.

Lorraine made her way to the food table and was eyeing the pumpkin pasties, but a few children had gotten in her way so that she was late enough as to arrive with the tray empty. Though she knew that the house elves would probably still batch up a new tray in a few minutes, her stomach was already grumbling so she knew she was gonna starve the whole five or so minutes, then she spotted a girl dressed up as a baker who had a bowlful of them and Lorraine immediately strode to her.

“Er, hello there,” she said, “May I have one? The tray's currently empty and you seem like you wouldn't run out of it, no?”, she added, chuckling lightly at her own joke.

Sofia had finished loading up her bowl with many cupcakes and pumpkin pasties, unaware that the other trays of the pumpkin pasties had also been recently claimed by other students. She had just turned to leave and check out another part of the Great Hall when she heard someone call out to her and ask for one. Sofia turned and looked at the table and then looked down at her bowl full of pastries and looked guilty, as if caught red handed. "Whoops!" she chuckled nervously. "I didn't realize I had taken the last of them," she admitted honestly.

Realistically she knew they would probably refill themselves magically as most of their food did normally, but there was no point in hoarding all the ones she had when someone wanted one now. She grabbed one from the top of her small pile and handed it over to the girl, "Here you go, sorry about that," she grinned sheepishly. "I like your costume, looks very creepy," she said with what she hoped was an approving tone.
