In her first and second years, Tilly would have boasted that she was deathly allergic to the library. Now, as a fourth year, she had to admit she had developed a fondness for reading that would have embarrassed her younger self. She found herself climbing up to the fourth floor on the first morning after winter break. After browsing the stacks, she pulled a hardcover book from the shelf and quickly made her way into the alcove.

The book was about a group called the Scitorari. She’d heard adults whisper about the organization, although they’d not been covered in classes so far. Tilly wondered why that was, especially if they were active in New Zealand. Her brow furrowed. Did that mean she wasn’t supposed to read about them? But they wouldn’t be in the library if that was true, right? The Hufflepuff sank into the plush chair and opened the book to the first page. It still had that faint 'new book' smell that her dad always got excited about. It was weird to think she might be one of the first people who read this copy.

@Beckett Harrington

Beckett was studying in a quiet spot at the library, for the upcoming year, you can never be too prepared, when he thought he saw Talia, well, he obviously saw her, his vision is perfect or so his private doctor said so. Taken over by his curiosity he abandoned his books, and followed her. He was really curious why she was going to that particular library section, he had no idea what she could be looking for but he soon found out when he saw the book she took. He had spent hours in the library so he knew where every book was and recognised most of them. He wondered why she suddenly took interest by the Scitorari, was she planning to become one?

The young boy approached the now sitting girl and took out his wand "Finite Incantatem" he casted, but the girl was still there. "Sorry, had to make sure you weren't using an illusory spell" he said half joking. "What brings you here? Reading about quidditch again?" he asked playing as if he didn't knew exactly what book that was.

Tilly didn’t realize she had company at first. She looked up at the words Finite Incantatem. There was Beckett, a Ravenclaw boy she hadn’t spoken to in a while. She rolled her eyes at him. “Yes, Beckett, I’m reading, very funny,” she said, all of a sudden realizing she was speaking in her normal voice, which carried across a room. Her ‘library voice’ wasn’t well-practiced just yet.

Tilly blushed and lowered her tone. The Hufflepuff didn't want to be chased out by a librarian. “No, Quidditch isn’t the only thing I’m interested in.” She would have asked Beckett what he was doing there, except the answer would be obvious, wouldn’t it?
