Lola wandered quietly into the hall and looked about her. Another great attempt at interior / exterior design she mused chuckling to herself as she passed by some students and greeted them warmly with a nod. The new head master stood up eventually to say a small welcome speech to open the dance up as she continued to circulate the floor. A chaperone's job was never done, she just hoped there wouldn't be any drama as there had been the year before. She would be keeping her eyes on Andromeda Fiorelli and Sumner Drage that was for sure, checking the punch bowls just in case.

Gathering the hem of her gown so that it did not trail across the floor she made her way to the table reserved for staff. Glaring pointedly at two students intent on mischief she frigtened them off quick enough before sitting herself down for a few moments. No doubt she would have to take another turn about the room in a short while.

James had been curious of what the fuss was about these balls, but none the less, he attended. The Music was something that was some what out of his zone and so was the dress code, hence why the Librarian seemed to be some what out of fashion in comparison to the other students as well as several other Staff members in which he had seen around. Coming to a halt next to one Lola Rowann, James pivoted on the back of his heel to face the stunningly dressed woman.
"Hellooo." he dragged out with a grin, his Garments clearly less superior than the professors. "Great Parteh, Aye?" James said, forcing a fake smile on. He really couldn't manage to smile normally, simply due to the fact of how out of place and uncomfortable he was feeling. None the less, Lola seemed to ease his feelings and nerves a little bit - she seemed as if she was going to be a nice woman.
"Care for a Le' Dance?" James' eyes widened and he looked almost sadistically curious in what the woman was going to answer with, but none the less it wasn't something unusual for James to do.
