(Open after Amory and rose reply a few times back and forth)

Amory had been happy when Rose had agreed to go to the Halloween feast with him again. He'd enjoyed her company last year in all the events and wanted to spend more time with the Gryffindor. This year he had a less of a silly costume than his last year as a unicorn, but hey a costume was a costume. He'd picked Rose up by her common room as promised and they'd slowly made their way towards the Great Hall. "You look very cute," the Slytherin made sure to comment because she did look cute. After his chat with Fifi at the end of their second year Amory had spent some of his summer mulling over what he thought of the girl beside him, he liked her and a lot of their age group were already out there dating and he supposed he'd want to figure out at some point if she liked him too, but for now he just wanted to spend time with her and have some fun. "So what would you like to do first tonight?" He asked eyeing the several things they could do.

Rose hadn’t been sure what to do for Halloween this year, it wasn’t a big thing in Japan like it was here, so she was never really sure how to do it. She sort of thrown her current outfit together from a couple of different things she hadn’t been sure about, but she liked how it turned out and she considered it to be quite Halloweeny. She liked the skeletal make up that Amory had gone with, they weren’t matching, but she didn’t really want to be, that was a bit… weird to her, especially as they hadn’t really talked about what they would dress up as, mostly because Rose just hadn’t really been sure until she’d looked in her trunk this morning. She hadn’t expected him to do anything immaculate or extreme, she’d liked his unicorn last year, it had made her laugh. She grinned when he said she looked cute and she looked down at her dress and touched her hair. “Thanks, I wasn’t sure what I wanted and kind of just kept piling stuff on,” she thought it looked obvious, but if Amory liked it she didn’t really care. “I don’t know what I want to do, maybe we could get some drinks first? Something cooling because this hair is making me hot.”

Amory gave a nod liking the idea of drinks, though it'd be a shame if it ruined his beautiful makeup. Not really he wasn't too stuck up about it. "Sounds like a plan," He said directing her towards the snack table. Amory then took a cup and put some cold pumpkin juice into it before extending it to Rose. "Here," He said with a smile before pouring himself some. He took a look around the hall again considering what they could do, there was the tent which could be fun but he wasn't so sure whether it'd be the best idea given Rose already struggled with anxiety enough as it was and he wasn't looking to add to her stressors by taking her to a scary tent. They could do some apple bobbing but that for sure would ruin his makeup, though the person who'd done it said it was water repellent or something, but Amory had little trust in that fact. "If you are comfortable with it we could check out the tent? But only if it's something you want to do, if not that's fine too we can just go and take a swing at that piñata?" The Slytherin offered, making sure it was clear they'd do what Rose was comfortable with.

Rose smiled brightly at Amory as he handed her the pumpkin juice, she took it with both hands and blushed when his fingers touched hers for barely a second. “Thanks,” she muttered, immediately taking a sip to avoid eye contact with him for the moment. “Oh that’s good,” she added, sighing slightly. There was just not much better than pumpkin juice under warm lights. It was October so it was hardly winter. Which was definitely weird for her because it was usually getting colder in October when she was at home, not warmer, but she had her cold home christmases so she was okay with that. She lifted the back of her hair to fan her neck a little, not wanting to feel the weight of it on her neck. She thought for a moment as she looked at the tent, considering. “I mean…” she swirled the pumpkin juice in her cup. “…the tent sounds fun in theory, but I don’t really want to end up screaming in front of, like, half the school. Again.”

She shrugged. The first time she’d come had been… interesting. “Last time I got spooked, I spilled an entire cup of cider on Eli and he didn’t talk to me for a day.” She smiled at him though because she wasn’t trying to shut down any ideas, and she didn’t hate the idea of spooky things, she just needed to make sure she was with the right person, and maybe not holding a cup of cider. “It might be fun to try again, and I can hide behind you if it’s too scary.” She wasn’t into scary movies like Elio and Eury, but sometimes the jump scares were fun to ger your heart racing a little. She could use it to blame for her face. Then she glanced at the piñata. “But also… whacking things with a stick? Very appealing right now.”

Amory watched Rose as she took a sip and clearly liked the juice, he smiled slightly into his cup taking a sip if only to not seem like a creep smiling and staring at Rose. "Yeah it's pretty good actually." He agreed, he'd never thought about things like pumpkin juice even existing before attending Hogwarts but it was starting to grow on him. Amory chuckled lightly at her words about not wanting to scream in front of half the school, that was fair enough. "Oh you can definitely hide behind me I'll protect you and if you do spill your drink on me I promise not to give you silent treatment. It's just a drink not the end of the world so nothing to worry about." The Slytherin gave a small smile. "Alright we can revisit the idea of the tent later on but for now we can go give a goo whack to the piñata then?" Amory suggested, liking the idea of giving a whack or two to the thing himself at the moment.

Rose grinned at the promise to revisit. After all, she wasn’t completely turned off the idea, she just didn’t want him to think she was a massive baby - scary things weren’t typically her jam, but she didn’t dislike them either. She liked them in small, mild doses. “Okay, well, you say that now,” she teased, “but don’t blame me if it’s, like, sticky punch and you end up looking like a Halloween-themed disaster.” She quickly sipped her juice again before putting it down on the corner of the table. She probably wasn’t going to come back for it but she didn’t want to hold it when whacking a piñata either. She wasn’t exactly a beater, but she knew how to handle a bat, she’d have to see how good Amory was. “I hope it’s candy in there and not something like spiders.” You could just never tell in a magic school.
