Closed Spooks And Scares

Halloween was one of the Hogwarts events that Lucy had been looking forward to the most. It was exciting, getting to dress up and see the castle and her schoolmates in such a different light. She had picked out her costume well in advance of starting school, and she was glad she hadn't had a growth spurt out of it yet. She had even dyed the hem herself, wanting a bit more colour at the bottom. All dressed up, Lucy grinned broadly as she entered the hall with her friends, looking around in awe. "Oh my god, it's so cool! What should we do first?"

Elise had been preparing for Halloween for a few weeks now. The idea had come to her in herbology and while she had considered using a real pumpkin she knew she could make one that worked just as well. The paint was still drying when she put up her hair and put on the pumpkin head before joining her friends. She felt a bit of a thrill walking through the crowd knowing no one could see her face or know who she was, besides her friends who had seen her get ready. Who were also patient with her when she insisted on walking like a zombie. She wanted to find Ezra or Dorian to scare them but she could do that later. "Snacks." Elise said while making her voice sound low and gravelly like some kind of monster.

Hazel had been pretty pleased with her costume, as she had repurposed the felt pumpkins she had wanted to use to decorate the dorm. But with Elise and Lucy, it was a little hard to feel like her costume was that cool. Lucy's was a lot more interesting, and Elise's was a lot scarier. She sighed, looking around. At least a few other people she didn't know had pretty bad costumes too. Hazel adjusted her pumpkin earrings. "Do you guys want to check out the tent after the snacks?"
