<SIZE size="50">It was late evening and the room was poorly lit. It was the start of the second term of his fifth year, and something was different, it wasn't that he was older, and therefore wiser, or that he'd played his first concert in a muggle coffee shop. And he'd been well received, and even found one of his songs on youtube, since the muggles had recorded some of it and put it online. But, there was only one person he wanted to talk to, and he didn't where she was. Where she had gone, and if she was ever coming back. He felt lost standing on the stage in the room. He had never told her how he felt, that he had loved her company more than anything, that she'd been like a rock in his life. Someone who didn't think less of him because he swore, or because he didn't give a poop about school. He didn't know how to find her, and all in all, it just hurt his heart. His music was the only thing keeping him going. he wrote his songs, and he played them while sitting alone. He let his mind create new tunes. He played until his fingers hurt. Elijah Tine had long since forgotten what heartache felt like. And all he could think of doing was running. Turning his back and disappearing. But as a prefect, he knew he couldn't do that. He knew he had to stop running. His parents were not happy. he'd not told them of his plans, but he'd also stayed at the New Zealand house rather than going to Paris. He'd not been in the mood. He knew his parents knew he was being his pursuit of his dream, and they would hardly be supportive of him considering that they wanted him to be an auror. Something worth while as they liked to say. Musician was not that, not according to them. Which Elijah could never understand since when he'd firest arrived they'd always spoke of following dreams, and yet they did not approve of his. So his dream wasn't to be a doctor, or healer, or lawyer. Something high earning. He said f##k you to dreams like that. To his parents thoughts that just because he was a Tine that he had to follow a strict path masked with the word dream. His dream, was to play the music he created. To sing like there was no tomorrow. To dance around on a stage and never be embarrassed. That oddly enough was his dream. He would worked hard to achieve it. He would do more than he could. But he would never the connections his father had to help him. His music his.

Sitting in the middle of the stage area in the Conglomerated Arts room, Elijah was unsure as to what he should really be doing. Reading over some books, patrolling the corridors. Nothing seemed to be interesting enough for him to do. Really all he wanted to do was sit around and do nothing all day. it had never crossed his mind to find a friend or someone to talk to. That it really could help him. Elijah was glad to have his music. His guitar was sitting next to him. He was bored. He had nothing to do, and one of the only people he enjoyed being around was no where to be found. This was not the start to the year that he had been expecting. Something bigger, better was what he had expected. But, he had to pleased that without her in the equation there was only one small thing left keeping him at Hogwarts. If he wanted to, he could just leave when he had first planned to. It would be epic and he'd follow his dreams and no one would ever stop him, he just pretty much figured, he'd always be alone.

Faxen Lowart could not have been more enthusiastic to be able to escape back to Hogwarts New Zealand. Of course, she had loved going home to see her mother, three brothers, and sister but it had been time to come back to school. Their house was fairly large but with five children it seemed to grow smaller and smaller each week she remained at home. Rosiee had been her typical, conceeded drama-filled self. The nineteen year old girl had been all concerned with the latest boy she was seeing. The twins, Cale and Ksaafa, had decided that their day was not complete unless they found some way to pull a prank on Faxi. They had to get resourceful since Faxen almost always caught them before they had the oppurtunity to carry out their plan. Ksaafa and Cale had managed to turn her hair blue one day. Mum had to set it back right and the twins had gotten an earful that day. Ollie had been the only sibling who seemed actually happy to have her home. Ollie had always been her closest sibling. There was only one and a half year difference so they tended to get along better than Faxi did with her siblings who were several years older than she was. Faxi had spent a majority of her break hiking, fishing, or rock climbing with Ollie. Faxen had also spent several hours a day playing her piano and composing new songs. Not that she thought they were all that good. Her mum and Ollie told her they were but they had to say that. They were family. It was some sort of rule that they had to brag on everything she composed. Faxen was anxious to see Enzo during the next Brightstone weekend. He would tell her the whole truth. Enzo didn't try and spare her feelings and she greatly appreciated that.

But, before the petite brunette would share any of her precious songs with her best friend before Faxen had perfected them. So, after finishing unpacking up in the Gryffindor girls' tower, Faxen grabbed her guitar case that contained her favorite and most special guitar. It was the last present from her father before his accident. It was one of the only things that Faxen had left to remember her father by. Of course, Faxi had also inherited his amazing musical talent. Faxen ran, with her guitar in hand, down the flights of stairs to the corridor designated to student clubs. She walked into the music section of the Conglomerated Arts room only to find another person, a boy, occupying the stage that she so wanted to sit and practice on. Faxen had been hopeful that it would be empty this early in the term. The young Gryffindor sighed internally. So much for that. The boy's guitar was sitting down next to him, not in his hands. It didn't appear that he had even been playing the musical instrument. Faxi frowned slightly as she studied him. She placed her guitar case on the floor with a thud. "Um.. Excuse me?" she said in an even voice. "Are you practicing? Is it going to bother you if I practice?" Faxen asked the boy who was just sitting there, looking bored. "It's just I wrote a few new songs over break and I really need a place to polish them up." Faxen said, trying not to be rude if the boy was already using the space.

While this was not something the Hufflepuff did often, he was really in a state of self pity. He knew that his life was just experience a little bump but he couldn't really believe that it had happened again. ELijah was not the type was to be this upset over the departure of someone he liked. It just happened to be that this person was someone that he actually cared about more than anyone else. More than he cared abour his family. Which really wasn't hard, since he really didn't like his family. They were fine people but they didn't really care about him. They cared that he carry on the family name, but Elijah hadn't really grown up with those people so he wasn't about to say they really knew what he was good at or what he wanted for life. Not only that, but they just didn't like what he did with his time. Which in reality wasn'tmich, all he really did was play his music. The boy had not touched a book since leaving at the end of term, despite the fact that he was an OWL student and really needed to be sure his act was together so he could study and learn more. His parents had been particularly annoyed about that claiming that since he was a prefect he had to do well. Which was something that the boy actually disagreed with. If they had wanted someone who could go well in leasson he was not that person. With his track record showing that he didn't actually enjoy classes or do as well as he could in them, the head people had surely known that before they'd let him be a prefect. The thought still surprised him, but not to the same extent as it once had. Not because he was used to it, he could never fully get used to it, just that he was living better with it. Which was why when a girls voice sounded in the room, he became very alert, very quickly that he was no longer alone in the room. In fact as he glanced round to where the voice was coming from, Elijah was trying to recompose himself, after pretty much being a deer caught in headlights. He coughed to himself as he looked and found a girl, a little younger than him standing right infront of him. He gave a small smile. The girl seemed to be annoyed that he was in the room while she was, and since he wasn't doing anything it appeared to annoy her. "Not practicing, not going to bother me, go right ahead." He nodded. He smiled at her. "It will not bother me at all. Go right ahead." Elijah would've normally taken the girl in, and seen if he knew her, or had seen her before. But really at this point, he didn't care. All he wanted to see was this other Gryffindor girl, who had pretty much made him realise how amazing it was to have a girl like that in his life. The girl could have had pink hair and he would not have noticed.

Faxen grinned, pleased, when the boy said he wasn't practicing and that she could in fact practice without bothering him. She tucked a lock of her long brunette hair behind her ear, revealing her multiple ear piercings. "Thanks." Faxen said with a bright grin, all annoyance at the boy vanishing immediately. "I'm Faxen by the way." she said, before turning and walking to the right side of the room. The young Gryffindor placed her guitar case on a nearby table, opening it to take out her custom, handcrafted guitar. Faxi pulled out a stool, not on the stage since it was being occupied, but in the center of the room, not too close to the boy. Faxen played a few introductory cords, going through their vocal counterparts, as she warmed up. She never liked to go straight to her songs, besides this boy made her a little nervous sitting there. Faxi had made sure that her back was turned to him. She was about to start playing one of her songs when she spotted a piano sitting in the corner of the room. Her dark caramel eyes widened with excitement. When had that been put there? Faxen got up, knowing she must look awful strange to this boy as she put her guitar back in its case.

Slowly, deliberately, Faxen made her way to this grand piano. It wasn't as nice as the one she had back home but it would certainly do. Her instrument of choice, the one she was best at playing, was the piano. She had been a sort of protegee on it, learning at an extremely accelerated pace at a very young age. Faxen Lowart sat down on the padded black bench. Her slender fingers traced delicately over the ivory keys. A small smile crept unknowingly to her face. Faxen began to play a wordless song that she had learned quite a while ago. Her eyes closed as she played, being so familiar with the piano keys that it was unnessasary for her to look at them. Finishing the melody, Faxen smiled and took a deep breath. The song had boosted her confidence and had her forgetting about the other boy in the room. It was if she was alone. Faxen grinned before starting to play a song of her orginial composition, and one that require her to sing. Faxen's voice ran out, clear and smooth throughout the entire room, filling up the space. At the end, the young Gryffindor paused, smiling to herself, pleased with how she felt it sounded. Faxen knew that she now felt comfortable to at least share this song with Enzo
