Alex walked into the great hall and sat where he was told the waited for his name to be called.
"Alex Dyjnus!"
he crossed his fingers and recited over and over in his head "raven claw!"

"Yes, RAVENCLAW!"

Frederique watched as the other students get sorted. She wanted to get sorted fast, she was excited. "Edouard, Frederique!" she heard her name, as she got out of her seat fast.

"GRYFFINDOR!"

Alexis didn't care where she was put. A boy had his socks tucked in as he walked. She smiled and twiddled with her long blonde hair. She had her own opinion of everybody. Now she thought he was quite sweet. She saw him mouthing 'Gryffindor', and felt that he should go where he wanted. His name was Callum Yarn. She tapped her foot on the floor, and shut her eyes. Her mother hated her. Why would she have left her?

Alexis needed a friend, even though she was tough. She had blonde/white hair, and had a proper figure at 16.
Alexis was normally mistaken for Alexia. Both were tough enough, she thought. As her name was called, she asked for Gryffindor. She prayed with her whole heart that She would be in that house.

She felt faint as she walked up to the stool. She couldn't walk in a straight line. This was the moment of truth. If she wasnt put in Gryffindor, she knew she would cause havok. She just didnt fit in anywhere else, she was sure of it.

"GRYFFINDOR!"

Daniel stood with the other students. He saw many others hear their names called, step up to the platform, place the ragged hat upon their head. He waited, patiently. It seemed to drag on forever. He thought back to leaving for Hogwarts this morning. His mother had wanted them to travel 'muggle style', probably the last of which he would appreciate before he was sent off to wizarding school. The four of them had left Brisbane a week previously, travelled on a boat to New Zealand and spent the last few days sight-seeing and purchasing a few last minute school supplies.

Dan was now missing everyone. He had talked to a few people briefly on the train, but as of yet he didn't have any 'real' friends at Hogwarts. He supposed it was a little early to be making judgements now, after all, school had barely started.

'Daniel Baker.'

Dan raised his eyebrows. It was him. He was up next. If he had been slightly nervous before, this was a whole new era. He took a deep breath as he stepped up to the hat. What house was his destiny? I don't really mind. I guess the hat will know best. Gryffindor maybe? Or Ravenclaw? Hufflepuff? Even Slytherin I suppose? I don't really mind, I guess all's well that that ends well. He smiled to himself once more, trying to give himself confidence.

"HUFFLEPUFF!"

Sharni stood waiting with many others to be sorted. She stood there excited to find out which house she was going to be in but at the same time she was terrified. She thought of everyone at home and how much she was missing them even though she had only left them that morning. Suddenly her name got called. She walked up to the stall and sat down. The hat was placed on her head. She hoped to be in Larissa or Libbys House. But anything could happen. So she waited to be sorted.

Borka, unlike many of his peers standing before him, was not nervous in the least. He stood beside his cousin, Avrille. They had met once or twice but were not as close as he was with his older brother's friends, younger siblings, because they got to see each other often enough. In fact, if he wasn't mistaken, he thought he had seen Kaleb, which would make for an interesting year.

The eleven year old, was a spitting image of Hayden when he was younger. He had light brown hair, and green-blue eyes that looked like crystals, and strong features. As Borka waited, he looked around the room, kind of wishing his older brother was here, he looked up to him so very much, and wanted to be like him.

Finally, Borka's name was approaching, they had gone through the letter's A to Ke, and were finally on Ker's. "Kerberos, Borka." Upon hearing his name, he went into character, an innocent one, and began walking towards the stool.

In character, Borka was nothing more then a nice boy that happened to have more then a few friends of the female sex, just as Hayden had been at a young age. But when he was being himself he was a cold, calculated, straight-shooting kind of person, that only respected a few people.

The Kerberos boy felt the hat placed on his head, and he looked into the ocean of faces, smiling friendly to them. Borka wasn't thinking anything to the hat because it honestly didn't matter where he was placed, at long as it wasn't Hufflepuff, and because he knew mostly everything about Durmstrang, and not Hogwarts, considering 87% of his family had attended Durmstrang.

Just as Borka was begining to feel slightly impatient with the whole situation of just sitting there, the Sorting Hat began to speak...

"SLYTHERIN!"

Xanthe enterded through the big wooden doors took her seat and waited for what to her felt like hours. "Xanthe Marino!" She crossed her fingers and thought (please put me in the same house as my sister even through i probaly won't notice her since we were babies when we were seperated.

"You'll do best in HUFFLEPUFF!"

akin walks into the great hall not really bothered about being there atall, he had two of his best friends by his sides as he walks past the other students sitting at the table, he smirks as he walks past them not thinking much of these students, he turns to his mate on his left and says "not thinking much of this school yet" he smirks in his russian accent, as he waited he grew bored of this and begen talking to both of his mates as he heard his name being read out "Crouch, Akin" he smirks as he walks over to the stool, as the sorting hat was placed over his head he knew which house he wanted to be in, the one inwhich his he knew his father barty crouch Jr would want him to go into, he sat there chilled out as this wasnt bothering him and just waited for the stupids hats response

"SLYTHERIN!"
[Remember, canon relationships are not allowed (So his father is not Barty Crouch Jr.). Also, this is taking place in the year 2022. Finally, please role play in the past tense.]

Damian watched the other student get sorted and walk to their house tables. Some of them were pleased with themselves, some were not. Damian honestly didn't mind where he was gonna go, he was a muggle-born after all. Damian smile as he watched the others. Hogwarts sure had a lot of pretty girls! "Darko, Damian!!!". Damian heard his name. He stood up and walked over to the stool. It was his turn now, there was no turning back..

"I can see the greatest success for you in SLYTHERIN!"

Katie shuffled into the hall, a look of pure terror on her face. A hat was going to go into her head and tell her what house she belonged in. "Does it hurt?" she whispered to a student sitting at one of the tables. The student snickered. "Nah." they said, turning around to whisper to their friend.

Another person beside Katie nudged her. "What house d'you wanna be in?" a boy asked her. "Gryffindor..." she whispered back. "Gryffindor's for losers." he smirked, pushing away from her. Katie frowned. J, K, then finally L. "Lynfield, Kate." Katie was glad that the lat name was called first. Her name was Kate Lynfield, not Kaitlyn Field.

Katie walked up to the sorting hat, her busy brown hair bobbing as she walked. She sat down, crossing her fingers. Please, put me in Gryffindor. I'm not cunning, I'm not smart, and I don't think I would fit in with the Hufflepuffs. she thought despretly.

"GRYFFINDOR!"

Erik Malone laughed as he watched his peers get sorted. He had never seen anything like this before. Some were of course, sorted to houses they belonged to, and some weren't. Erik didn't really bother about which his house he would be out into, as long as it wasn't Hufflepuff. It probably wasn't bad if they weren't represented as badgers.

"Malone,Erik"

Erik heard his name and immediately stood up, before walking towards the podium.

"HUFFLEPUFF!"

Elizibeth walked into the room like a queen her nose in the air and took her seat. Then she sat and waited for her name. "Elizibeth Jane Callaway!"

"SLYTHERIN!"

Becca smiled, still amazed that she was going to Hogwarts this year. The ;etter had arrived only a few days before the school year started, and Becca wasn't expecting to come until next year. She had hated not going while her brother and sisters were there.

'Marino, Maxwell.' her brother's name was called. "Ravenclaw!" Becca was glad her brother had gotten into Ravenclaw, even though there was no doubt he wouldn't. "Marino, Rebecca" Becca cringed at the use of her full name, and walked to the stool. She sat down and allowed the hat to be placed on her. Any house, any house. But please not Slytherin. Hufflepuff is always good. Becca thought camly.

"RAVENCLAW!"

Standing along the sweaty crowds of students, was Sophia Bedlam. Unlike them, she had her chin up confidently, she was not anxious in the least, why people would be was actually beyond her. She watched as Hufflepuffs, Gryffindors, Ravenclaws and Slytherins were made, she was not nervous, she had already decided that she belonged in Slytherin. She was a Bedlam, a pureblood, how could she not being in Slytherin?

The brunette had her hair pulled back in a green head back, and her brown curls were perfectly cascading around her full, clear face. Sophia's forest green eyes were not looking ahead so she didn't seem too eager, she was looking around the masses of faces, some of the older students seemed surprised about something. For what she really wasn't certain, but she didn't care at all.

"Bedlam, Sophia." Immediately Sophia felt a large pang of anxiety form in her stomach, she shook that off as she walked towards the wooden stool and sat down. When the hat was placed on her head she frowned, it was going to mess up her soft brown hair, and she had finally gotten it to perfection. As the eleven year old knew already what house she was going to be placed in she thought, Hurry up and make your choice, I don't want you in my mind any longer then you need to be. This girl was very secretive about her private thoughts, and even though it was just a ratty old hat it could talk, and it could tell people things, things that weren't meant to be shared.

"SLYTHERIN!"

Tom Perrin walked into the reat hall. "What a crummy place." He said to himself. He walked over and sat down at the most civilized table there, the slytherins. He did not talk to anyone. He hated the crummy place. At least the otehr slytherins were clean, well, most of them. Tom perrin waited to be sorted. It twas not a big deal. After a while he heard his name called

"TOM PERRIN!"

"oh brother, has to make a deal out of nothing." Tom muttered. Tom walked up and sat in the chair. This was it, he was about to be sorted, wooptydoo.

"SLYTHERIN!"

Drew attempted to flatten his carrot-coloured hair as he walked into the Great Hall. HIs hair would not stay flat, so he gave up, and looked around. He was tall and lanky, so he could see above most of the first years' heads. He saw some people whispering, some almost fainting. He grinned, and moved forward with the group. "Edwards, Drew." Drew walked to the platform in a few steps, and sat down on a stool that was there. He put the hat on his head and waited. He wanted Gryffindor, like his parents, and he knew he should be in Gryffindor. Drew's younger sister was starting Hogwarts next year, and he knew she wanted to be in Gryffindor too.

"HUFFLEPUFF!"

Forever had left her sister and two brothers at the train station only a few hours a go. After kissing them goodbye and telling them to be good children, she left. How will they survive without their mother Forever thought knowing quite well that she wasn't the mother of her siblings but she acted like one. Plus in her own mind she was such a better example for the children, much better than that trader of a mother marring a muggle months after Forever's loved father passed away.

Memories of her siblings faces seemed to leave the mind of this red headed girl as she entered the great hall elbowing some of the smaller students so that she could get to the front of the group. Forever always had to be at the front of just about everything, she had to be the best, the one on top of the mountain.

Smirking as she saw a girl who was dressed in the most awful fashion ever, Forever held her tongue. Not out of kindness but out of the fact that her name was called to come and get sorted.

"Winter, Forever The voice called.

"Remember that name" She said to the poorly dressed girl as she walked to the front of the great hall, everyone watching her. That was just how Forever liked it. Center of attention, Center of the world. she thought her dazzling smile being flashed in every direction again not to be nice. Forever was rarely nice to anyone other than her siblings.

The hat was placed on her head and the slight fear that her was going to be messed up. After the hour she spent making her hair perfect, she was slightly upset with the old falling apart and completely out of style hat.

What house do I want. Well I always get what I want. It's just how it is. but I don't know what I want this time. The houses would all be honoured to have me in their presence so be my guest and pick what you think best. She thought laughing her hight pitched laugh for a moment as these thoughts went through her head. I never thought I'd be asking a hat for anything nonetheless wearing one Was her last thought before the sorting hat spoke.

"SLYTHERIN!"

Only a few hours ago, Leo had left Gemini to go to Scotland. And already Gemini missed her elder brother. Leo had warned Gemini not to tell people her siblings names' or she would be teased. Just because Leo, Gemini and Aquarius were named after their star sign people teased them. Gemini was shy, and couldn't talk to anyone at this school, so she was terrified.

The brunette wished she wasn't so short, then she could actually see things for a change. Not that she could actually see properly without her glasses, but she refused to wear them. Aquarius had cried when Gemini had boarded the train, thinking she would lose her sister like she lost her brother. Only seeing Aquarius during holidays was torture to Gemini, she missed her sister like crazy.

"Lee, Gemini." Gemini shakily walked over to the platform, ignoring the whispered remarks about her robes. They had belonged to her brother years ago, so they looked strange on her, and they were a bit big. She sat down, and waited for the blackness. The hat covered her eyes, and Gemini shivered. "Hufflepuff?" she pleaded, hoping she wouldn't get anywhere else. She didn't want to be a Gryffindor, she would have to be brave; she also didn't want Ravenclaw or Slytherin: she wasn't cunning or smart. She was just Gemini Lee, a nice person.

"HUFFLEPUFF!"

Ryuu entered the Great Hall, with his black hair flowing around his face. He was indeed nervous about being sorting. Biting his lip, he waited for his turn. How he wanted his mother to see him, but alas, she was dead, and well, she wouldn't understand anyway. She was a muggle, and his father had been in Ravenclaw, which was what he wanted Ryuu to be. Ryuu did not think he was cut out to be one of them.

Ryuu heard his name called, and he walked up to the stool and took a seat. He awaited being sorted, not really caring where he wanted to be. Just somewhere so he could be free to be himself. Although, his little heart wanted to be a Gryffindor. However, he almost doubted that he would belong in there either. The hat was upon his head and he closed his eyes.

"GRYFFINDOR!"
