Sorting Ceremony (Y4)

Lucretia heard the headmistress call her name, and with a swing of her pale blond hair over her shoulder, strode up to the area where the sorting hat was. She sat on the stool and felt the hat become placed upon her head. Oh, just let me be in Slytherin! Bella will hate the stupid heat all the other common rooms have. Plus I'm a Moriarty. What kind of a Moriarty is in any other house!? She thought, grimacing and waiting to hear the response she most desired.

Hmm...yes, I see you posess some very interesting qualities. Qualities that most often belong in one house and one house only. The best place for you is SLYTHERIN!!

Riley waited impatiently with his hands jammed into his pockets. He heard the Headmistress call his name and he half-sauntered up to the stool and the Hat. He jammed it on his head.

Just put me in Slytherin, that's all I ask.

He waited for the Hat to respond.

Well, you seem to be very set on where you want to go. I must say that is determination; and with that determination and your cunning I think you'd do best in SLYTHERIN!!

Hoshi walked up to the stage like she was walking on to a run way. Her hair was now a blinding orang but it was not spiked up but softly waiveing over around her head. "Wish me lack Kita-chan I'm up first." She said and made her way to the sorting hat. She put it on and put her hands on her lap to keep them from twiching. You know sorting hat-san I really tink I have all the qualitys of a Gryffindor but I will be happy with anywhere that you put me as long as it's not Slytherin. She thought some how knowing that it could hear her. She sat as still as she posssably could and waited for it's answer.

Hmm....yes...you are a very brave girl and you're ambitious. I don't think there's any contest! You belong in GRYFFINDOR!!

"Katsunie, Kita!" was called and Kita walked up to the stage with such a passion that one could parcticly hear the camaras going off. She was a natural star like her twin but with a slightly softer edge given to her by her long now firy red hair. She sat on the stool with the sorting hat on her head sat down. She held no erragence for the air that she gave off she was just bold like that and really didn't care what anyone else thought of her. Sorting hat-san you have seen into my sistea's head first but I believe you will find some of the same tings in mine. I hope you put us together but any where will be fine. She thought the closed her eyes and prayed for Gryffindor.

Another Katsunie, then? Yes, I see the similarities. You both are very much alike. I'd hate to split up a family so you'd better be...GRYFFINDOR!!

OOC: Posting for Sarah ((Maddiie))

"Sarah Hollawarth"
They called Sarah name, she was a little nervous. This was all new to her. I hope Maddiie around, I'm just new to this all. She went up to the Hat and sat on the chair and putting that hat on. She waited for it's to start talking and wished for the best of it .

Yes, you're a kind girl! That's for sure! And determined. Yes, I think you'd fit just perfect in HUFFLEPUFF!!

Violet looked around at the masses of students who stared back at the nervous group of first years, fear rising in her chest. She trembled where she stood.
"I don't want to do this, I don't want to be here..." she muttered under her breath, in the faintest of whispers. "What house will I be in? Oh God, oh God, oh God..."
"Bellamy, Violet!"
Violet took a deep breath, and walked towards the hat.
"Now, come on Violet," she continued to mumble to herself. "You're smarter than this. It doesn't matter what house you're put in, as long as you try your hardest." But the closer she came to the hat, the worse she felt.
After what seemed like hours, she gingerly sat on the stool and slowly brought the sorting hat down over her messy red hair.

Ah, yes..you're a smart girl and very determined. I see you're a hard worker; and while you'd do well in most any house, I think you'd do best in HUFFLEPUFF!!

Antionette watched nervously as one by one the students where sorted. She saw her friend Lucretia become Slytherin and smiled since she knew that was what Lucretia wanted. Her breath caught in her throat when she heard her name called.

"Hyde, Antionette!"

She pushed away her nerves and put back on her face of indifference as she walked up slowly to the stool. 'Please, just put me with Lucretia...she'll have no one to disrupt the school with if I'm not around,' she thought with a smirk right before sitting down and having the hat slide down over her eyes. She sat waiting to hear her fate.

You'd like to be a Slytherin, eh? Well, I certainly see the sly and the cunning in you; I also see great intelligence, something which can only amplify your cunning. Yes, I think you'd do well in SLYTHERIN!!

Izzy had been watching the other students go up to the hat and put it on, being sorted and taking a seat with their new house. She still wasn't sure if she wanted to be in Ravenclaw or Slytherin. Personally, she'd like to be in Ravenclaw but if she weren't sorted into Slytherin, her grandad might up and leave again. She looked down, trying to decide before her name was called.
"Isadora Hughes."
The name seemed to echo in the hall, repeating every few seconds though it was probably her imagination.
She walked up to the sorting hat, moving between the mass of newly first year students. Izzy sat down and put the hat on her head, letting it fall over her eyes as she was too small for it. This is it, she thought, biting her lip slightly, Time to see if I'm smart enough to get into Ravenclaw... or if I don't have to make up an excuse to Grandad, She closed her eyes tightly as no one could see and hoped the Sorting Hat would put her in a place that she would do best in. If it wasn't Slytherin, she decided, her grandad would have to accept it eventually.

Hmm....yes, this is a hard one. I don't see the usual qualities for a Slytherin in you....no. You possess a great deal of intelligence and I don't see much malice. Yes...this is a hard one. I sense a great family history in you...at least one Slytherin....you have potential to be great, that's true. I think Slytherin will help you along that path to greatness.....so....better be...SLYTHERIN!!

Elanor stood with the other unsorted students. She wondered which of these people would become her new friends. Most of them looked nice, and Elanor hoped that she would enjoy herself at Hog...
"Winsden, Elanor!"
Elanor was startled out of her thoughts. She started on the walk up to the Sorting Hat. She tripped a little over her own feet and blushed, continuing her walk up to the Sorting Hat with her eyes looking shyly downwards. She sat down on the stool and placed the Sorting Hat on her head, eager but a little scared to know where she would be placed.

Hmm....yes, you're a quiet one...a little shy. But I sense great power within you. Yes...you're a hard worker and caring; I think the best place for you is HUFFLEPUFF!!

Aidan walked into the Great Hall with the rest of the unsorted students, it was finally for him to get sorted. He couldn't wait to figure out what house he would be. Aidan hoped his father would be happy with whatever hosue he would get sorted into. He wouldn't mind being in Slytherin or Ravenclaw. Those were the two houses he had high hopes on. He wouldn't mind the other two but he knew he would do great in any of those two houses.
"Kaliam, Aidan" He heard the Headmistress call out.
Aidan walked over to the podium and sat on the stool. He felt when the sorting hat was placed on his head. What house I would like to be in. I have two houses in mind and those would be Ravenclaw and Slytherin. I am smart but I also want to be powerfull. I am not sure which of those two houses I would pick though. I am not too keen on any of the other houses I feel like I wouldn't belong in them. Please just place me in either Ravenclaw or Slytherin that is all I ask.

Ravenclaw or Slytherin, eh? Yes, I'd have to agree those are the two that suits you the best. Of the two, however, is a harder decision to make. You're clever and determined for power; both could work in either house. But I think that you would do the best in RAVENCLAW!!

"Aminuddin, Aisyah"

Her name was being called. She went and put the hat on her head nervously. Both of her brothers were in Gryffindor but her grandfather was from Slytherin. Where was the hat going to put her?

Hmm....this is a hard one. I can see you are torn in your preference. With your intelligence and cunning, though you will do best in SLYTHERIN!!

"Cheyenne Moore"

I walked up to the stool, I knew that almost every eye was on me. I was more excited than nervous. Actually I was barely nervous. I sat down, and had the hat placed on my head. I was so excited. I was Half-Blood. So I've been excited ever since my father told me about hogwarts. I love quidditch by the sound of it, I couldn't wait, but I was only really nervous about making friends, and I couldn't wait to start 'defence against the dark arts'. So I closed my eyes and waited to be sorted.

Hmm....yes, this is a hard one. You would do well in Slytherin, your certainly cunning and intelligent. But, with your bold spirit, I think you'd do best in GRYFFINDOR!!

Lina wiped the hair from her eyes, approaching the hat as her name was called. She walked to the stool and sat down. It'll be Slytherin, there's no need to worry. Then an odd thought creeped into her head, What, what if being a mudblood won't let me in? Biting her lip she sat down. Lina was worried, but didn't show it.

Hmm....yes, there's not much competition there. Some things may make it harder for you to fit in, but you truly belong in SLYTHERIN!!

**POSTED FOR EMMA NELSON**

i waited with baited breath and very nervouse then my name wass called i clambered up to the stool and sat on it then i waited and thought "Not slytherin, anywhere but slytherin,i would do well in Ravenclaw or Gryffindor. As i am brave, noble and loyal, i feel i would do well in Gryffindor. But i am quite smart so i guess i wouldn't do that bad in Ravenclaw either.
but i guess i could live with Hufflepuff to please not slytherin please gryfindor would sout me best" and held my breath...

No, Slytherin is certainly not the place for you. I'd say you're a kind, caring, intelligent girl; all of these things will help you in GRYFFINDOR!!

" Tikao, Lalahakiri!" the headmistress shouts.
she walked up to the sorting hat, worried bout the outcome, she confidently put the hat over my head, i'm brave and i love to stick up for my friends,i'm honest and intelligent.just secretly wish to get put in gryffindor.it's going to happen i just hope it does.

Yes, it's a close one. You're kind, loyal, caring, and hard working. I would put you into Hufflepuff, but if you insist, then better be...GRYFFINDOR!!

Andromeda walked with the rest of the first years to the top of the massive hall. She tried not to look about her at the hundreds of other students watching them from their seats. She knew the house she wanted to be in, her mother and father had been in it before her. Would she make them proud? Was she brave enough, clever enough? She turned to see if she could see any students from that house, they all looked so self assured as the clapped and cheered for those who were being sorted. Her name was called, the hush that fell seemed almost deafening, or had she just imagined it. She took a deep breath, steadied her nerves and walked slowly up to the Sorting Hat. It was placed on her head...Andromeda closed her eyes, and waited patiently for the moment that would determine her fate, her destiny...

No need to fear, my dear. You would work well in either Ravenclaw or Gryffindor, but with your brave heart I think you'd do best in GRYFFINDOR!!

Andrew waited as the names were called. He was very unsure about his house. He could only go in Slytherin if her was a Half blood or Pure Blood but he didnt know what he was.
"Bruke,Andrew!"said a loud voice as Andrew walked upto the table and placed the Sorting hat on his head.He really wished that he would be in slytherin. He waited for the sorting hat to speak.

There is certainly no question here, lad. You belong in only one house and that house is SLYTHERIN!!

Enzeru sighed, this was taking quite a while. The train ride was long and tiring and now here she was surrounded by people she didn't know and waiting on a woman to call her name and put a talking hat on her head. She wasn't raised as a wizard, or witch, or any kind of magical person. Enzeru had been living as a muggle since she was very young and now that she knew what she was there was no chance she would pass this life up.

"Enzeru Tomoshibi." The Woman called her.

Enzeru stood and stretched. This was it. This would determine who her friends would be for the next four year. This was more of a big deal to her than her actions showed as she walked up to the woman holding the hat. "I'm ready." She smiled and jumped up on the stool. This was it, she would find out what she was destined for. After this her life would change. It was all she could do to keep from fidgeting, but she held her poise as the hat was placed on her head.

Yes, you're a clever girl. Cunning mixed with intelligence makes you a perfect match for SLYTHERIN!!

As I wait to hear my name I can see all the first years, some looking excited but others scared and nervous. But why do they look a little scared....yeah.....we are now here at the hall in Hogwarts......I'm so excited......Oh......Well here goes I heard my name called-Hagee Smith- to think I'm the first girl in my family to come to Hogwarts and now I wish my older brother where still here to support me. All this time I was counting the days until I would arrive and start learning how to become a witch. The joy the happiness are at a stand still. I feel scared but excited and my heart is about to jump out of my chest as the sorting hat comes down to my head.

You're a very kind girl, loyal, and smart. I think you have a desire to succeed and work hard. With these fine qualities, I think you'd do best in HUFFLEPUFF!!

Christine was nervous as her named was called. She thought: I don't know what's going on. No one in my family has any magical powers. She placed the hat on her and and thought : well i'm a good friend, i'm loyal, amd i'm smart. Then she waited for the sorting hat's descision.

Yes..you're kind, loyal and brave. You're just right for GRYFFINDOR!!

Kiki Cross stood in line, confidence oozing out of her. She knew the house she was getting in to, the house she better get in to. Her whole family had been in Slytherin, always top of their class too. Kiki's father had been HeadBoy and her mother HeadGirl. That's how they met and fell in love, well that's how they told the story. Kiki had better things to do than listen to their romance stories from the past. Her dark green hair stood up in perfect spikes, one of the things about her appearance that had all the older students looking at her. Her fellow first years stared at her too. She was about to give them something to really stare at when her name was called. One step and that was all that took. What if she didn't get into Slytherin? What if she got stuck in Gryffindor?! Kiki shook her head. I'll get in. I have to. She didn't know if she could handle another quiet Christmas. She sat on the stool and put the Sorting hat on. "You better not squish my hair," she muttered to the hat as it went over her eyes.

Hmm....Slytherin....are you sure? I think you would do great things in Gryffindor. You're brave and you're smart; you could do well most anywhere.....but if you're sure.....better be....SLYTHERIN!!

"Dante, Caina" Caina heard her name called by the headmistress. Caina made her way up to the stool. She had a very determined look on her face and her sly little grin as she stared at the rest of the students whose names were not yet called. This is it. This is my time to shine. I will. The sorting hat knows what is right. Slytherin is my destiny. Slytherin is where my heart and soul longs to be. Slytherin Slytherin Caina thought as she sat down onto the stool. She seemed to have waited forever for this day that was now here. This is it. Slytherin Slytherin. I have what it takes to be in Slytherin. Caina repeated over and over in her head. Caina was not nervous but in a sense she wanted nothing more to hear the sorting hat call out Slytherin and for her to have the glory to get up and walk over to the table that she prayed was hers. The headmistress placed the sorting hat on Caina's head. Slytherin She thought forcefully hoping that the sorting hat would understand her desire to be placed in that house.

Ah...yes....you're sly and cunning. You're so true; the Sorting Hat knows all. There's no doubt here; you belong in SLYTHERIN!!

Kali stood rather quiet waiting for her name to be called. Kali had waited for this ceremony with an air of excitment. She was finally going to find a place where she belonged. "Paytah, Kali" The headmistress called. Kali put a smile on her face as she made her way slowly up to the stool. Kali saw the sorting hat and watched as it had sorted the students before but she still could not get the hang of it. I wonder how it just knows what house you are suppose to be in. I wonder if it will know exactly where I fit if I even do Kali thought. She really did wonder if she would fit anywhere at all. That thought she pushed out of her mind as soon as she could. Kali sat on the stool and the hat was placed on her head. Kali wondered if she were to think of the house she wanted if the hat would hear her. It's worth a try Kali thought remembering that the sorting hat could just possibly hear her every thought. Slytherin would not be my choice but if that is where you think I may belong. I believe that Ravenclaw would do me justice but if you don't believe I am smart enough. Gryffindor would be an okay choice also well unless you don't think I am brave enough. Hufflepuff would be my last choice but if you think that is where I should be unless I am not kind enough Kali thought trying to speak to the sorting hat if that was even possible. Kali's only problem was that she seemed to babble with all her thoughts combining. She liked to over think every single detail which sometimes caused confusion. She hoped that the sorting hat would not be confused with all the thoughts that Kali had running through her mind.

No no, definitely not Slytherin for you. You'd do well in Hufflepuff as well as Gryffindor. You're a smart girl, you're kind, caring and hard working as well. But I think with your intelligent there's no better place for you than RAVENCLAW!!

Connor entered the great hall. Connor stood with the rest of the unsorted students. There seemed to be way too many to count. I hope this doesn't take long Connor thought with a bit of boredom. He just wanted to be placed in Slytherin and have it be over with. He did not just want to be in Slytherin. He HAD to be in Slytherin. My dad will disown me if I am not in Slytherin, but Gryffindor would also be niceConnor thought. No! No! No! I need Slytherin or I will have no place to go. Connor thought. The list of names before him seemed endless. Connor stood there waiting growing impatient as the list went on. Finally the headmistress called his name. "Simons, Connor" "Finally" he said a little louder than a whisper. Connor sat down onto the stool and looked about the great hall. He looked at the Gryffindor table and then at the Slytherin table. He wondered which on he would be placed at. The hat was placed on his head. Slytherin Slytherin Slytherin Gryffindor Slytherin Connor thought trying to in a way persuade the Sorting hat to put him in Slytherin.

Yes...I see your desire for greatness and power. You have a drive that would make you perfect for SLYTHERIN!!

Alice followed the line into the Great hall. She looked around for her cousin and saw him sitting at the Gryffindor table. She wanted to be in Gryffindor from the start as she was pretty brave and since her cousin was in that house it would be good. Alice listened to the sorting hat sort different people. "Alice Aria Fuego" The headmistress said. Alice slowly walked up to the stool and put the hat on her head. I'm brave and noble. I am quite intellgent too. I would be best with my cousin who is in Gryffindor. I know i can be as brave as him. She thought as the sorting hat was placed on her head. She waited to hear the house she was in anixous.

Hmm....this one is difficult. You are smart, hard working and loyal until the end. You'd obviously do well in any house, but with your moble spirit, I think you'd do best in GRYFFINDOR!!
