Nicola, together with the other first years, entered the Great hall. The ceiling caught Nicola's attention, 'It looks just like the sky outside, she thought. Names of students were called and they were asked to sit and wear a hat. She expected her name to be called last because of her last name. She scanned the room and saw all the other students staring at them like their oddballs! She quickly returned her eyes in front, and focused on the student being sorted but her mind was somewhere else. She thought of her family back home because of her absence, her mom would need to work double time. Just thinking of her mom and sister made her teary-eyed. She didn't notice that she had been called twice already to be sorted.

"Walter, Nicola."

"Walter, Nicola?"

Then she came to her senses and walked to the stool and quickly sat. The hat was put on her head. 'Okay, it's alright, it's just sorting,' she thought. 'You'll get over this soon', she thought.

"I think you'll find home in HUFFLEPUFF!"

"Vasquez, Sarima." Hearing her name made Sarima stand up straighter and walk with her head up towards the front before she sat down delicately and beamed ahead, her facials hiding what her thoughts typically were about as she was a far darker, controlling person that her wide grin didn't show. Perhaps it was reading The Art of War or The Prince at a very young age that caused this surprising attitude or maybe it was the fact that her father had taught her right and how to be in a power of position but she felt she was destined for Slytherin because of this and because of her overwhelming position despite not truly caring if she did get into that house or not for she would end up controlling them all even if she was in the least respected house, Hufflepuff. All Sarima knew was that she was not going to let the decision of a hat control her future as many of the foolish children in this room will or had.

"Not let my decision control your future? It may not control it, but it will certainly determine it, and no amount of muggle authorship can change that aspect of my magic. Now, you're right in one thing - you're a SLYTHERIN!"

Kitty was nervous for people had told her a lot about sorting and she was so out of her mind for to many people were watching the person get picked, "Kitty Strouss" she heard her name called and the sweat just broke above her brow no not now not everyone looking at me she thought. The thought of sitting in front of everyone scared her the most.

"Helga would take you gladly. You're a HUFFLEPUFF!"

OOCOut of Character:
In the future, please ensure to fill out the sorting form fully, including by filling out two scenarios. :)

Ysobella was extremely scared. She had always known that she was a witch and that she would eventually be going to Hogwarts, but it was still scary for her. Ysobella and Alyss had been separated about a minute ago and Ysobella felt lost without her big sister. Ysobella was rarely without her sister, though she had a terrible feeling that they would be separated a lot more from now on.

Ysobella bit her lip and waited for her name to be called. "Crow, Ysobella Sparks!" Ysobella smiled faintly as she heard her whole first name being said. Sparks was not exactly a normal first name, but Ysobella liked it. The fact that 'Ysobella' was spelt with a 'Y" instead of an 'I' pleased her also, as she liked to be different. She pushed her way to the front, feeling eyes on her. Ysobella didn't like it when people stared at her at all. She felt like some kind of circus animal. She stumbled and almost fell, and Ysobella could feel her pale face turning red. After what seemed like an eternity, Ysobella had the sorting hat placed on her head.

"Houses are just houses," She whispered out loud. "Just bizarre little school groups with ridiculous names. Like cliques, almost." She muttered to convince herself that it didn't matter where she was sorted, not aware that the sorting hat could hear her.

"Houses are just houses. But they all have traits and represent a different type of person, of philosophy on life, and certainly a different school experience. Ridiculous names? Ravenclaw is close to 'Crow,' isn't it? Let's not mock the names of some of the greatest witches and wizards of history, shall we? And houses are not cliques. You've much to learn... but where to learn it? You're not too different from your sister... but perhaps different enough. Yes, I think you'll be a fine GRYFFINDOR!"

Alyss was extremely bored. She wasn't paying attention to what anyone was saying. Until her name was called, she would ignore people. She could see her twin's golden hair swirling around as the girl tried to find Alyss. The same gold hair that belonged to Alyss. Alyss moved slightly to the left so her sister wouldn't see her. A careful smile was placed on Aly's small face as the pale girl waited for the Sorting to begin. Alyss was trying to look friendly, and it was working. She did not want to be here. She would rather still be on the train. At least on the train Aly could read without being inturrupted.

Alyss looked down at her polished black shoes. She didn't like wearing school shoes at all. She preferred to wear ballet flats. She even had a pair in black that she could have worn to Hogwarts. Maybe sometime later this year Alyss could wear her ballet flats instead. Maybe nobody would notice. Alyss didn't like the uniform one bit. It was so dull, and what was with the robes?

Aly's old school had uniforms, but they were so much nicer than these Hogwarts clothes. Maybe Hogwarts should change the uniforms to blue? Aly looked around at the house tables, and saw that there were differences between the uniforms. She liked Ravenclaw's colours, blue and bronze. Blue was Aly's favourite colour.

Alyss had been so busy thinking about the uniform; she almost missed her name being called. "Crow, Alyss Blaze!" Aly saw one of the first years smirking at her name, and she gave him the Death Glare. Aly's piercing blue eyes glared at the boy until he dropped his head. Alyss smirked, and walked up to the sorting hat, her head held high. She was not frightened of people starting at her. In fact, she actually liked the attention.

Unlike her sister, and a lot of other students here, Alyss had done her research about Hogwarts. She knew that sorting hat was enchanted and could see what kind of person you were. Alyss already knew what kind of person she was. She was cunning and sly, Slytherin traits. But she was also intelligent and loved learning, like a Ravenclaw. Alyss allowed the sorting hat to be placed on her head. The hat slipped over her eyes, and Alyss waited patiently for the verdict.

"Self-aware, too, hmm? Well that's interesting in an eleven year old. Regardless, you are a SLYTHERIN!"

Madelaine walk on the hall way, shes thinking and believing that she will be group to the right house, every one was looking at her, some of them look insecured because of the beauty that madelaine got, but almost was smiling at her

"Another one for HUFFLEPUFF!"

Beacamz was walking up to the sorting hat with her head up high to tell the students she is not a person to deal with she carefully placed the sorting hat on her head waiting for the result she said in her mind "please be a Gryffindor!!!"

"No, not Gryffindor. You're a RAVENCLAW!"

Can you believe it? He was actually belching in the middle of the line America national anthem. He would've done his home country Africa, but he never got to actually learn it. Disgusting? Yes perhaps, but this nothing compare to what he do back at home. His parents, Alex and Nikki were so thrill to ship him off half way across the country. He would've protest but it was either this or military school. At least in the old stylish castle he would be able to cause havoc. Maybe form a little group of his own, Nate though as he stood in line waiting for his time to come. If only he knew what he was getting himself into, if only he could've stop time just there. Its to late now, when his name finally bounce against the walls of the entire godric looking castle, Nate turn his head and marched onward.
His blonde hair tossed to the side, he went up and sat down before the loads of students looking at him. The hat went down his blonde and before he let out a silent but ghastly human odor. He sat and listen for the old rugged hat to decide where his faith lies. "Hey dude, do me a favor before you decide. Make sure you don't put me with those stinking Slytherin. Heard they lived in dungeon. Least put me with my cousin Tyler" he coaxed up with a grin than pause in silence.

"Not Slytherin? But you'd do so well! I'm sorry, but you're certainly a SLYTHERIN!"

Alexia was focused in her own world. She was looking straight ahead but had no idea what was being said. Everything in the room felt so magical and amazing. She couldn't help but smile softly as she looked around her, lost in her own thoughts... but suddenly she was paying attention as she heard her name being called out, her smile faded and everything had gone... her mind was blank. Alexia stood for a moment before she realised that was her name and she was next. She walked quickly up to the hat and sat down upon the old wooden stool. Looking out upon the other students she felt her cheaks burn as everyone looked at her. She had always hated people staring at her and she felt scared. Alexia flinched slightly as the hat ws placed upon her head. She sat silently, feeling frigtened but she pushed the feelings away, hoping for the best and trying to forget about everyone arround her. Alexia waited for her house name to be said ...

"HUFFLEPUFF!"

Ebony waited for what seemed like forever before her name was finally called. "Payne, Ebony!" She walked up, smirking, then took a seat. The hat was put on her head and covered her face. Slytherin, Slytherin, Slytherin, she thought. Or at least not Hufflepuff. She waited, getting a little impatient.

"Slytherin? Hmm. Not you. You seem to me like more of GRYFFINDOR!"

Raven, Grace! Grace heard, and biting her lip, she slowly walked up to the stool where the Sorting Hat was. She sat down on the stool, and was relieved when the Headmistress placed the hat on her head as none of the older students that were staring could see her anymore, and she couldn't see them. She took a few deep breaths to calm herself down, and squeezing her eyes tightly, she thought to the sorting hat, 'Please, please, please Mr. Hat, place me in Gryffindor with my friends.' She thought. 'I can be brave, and I'll prove to you that placing me in Gryffindor is the right decision.' She waited impatiently for the Sorting Hat to decide whether or not to place her in Gryffindor, but hopefully he would.

"As you wish. GRYFFINDOR!"

There were only three left she thought......."Moon Kate" oh thats me she said accidentily out loud everyone laughed her cheeks went brick red..She walked up shaking encouriging herself to go on and not run out of the room and hide like she usually did when she was scared or nervous..slowly she made her way up and sat down on a old stool. The lady put a grubby looking hat on her head and she waited for her result..........................

"Hufflepuff!"

Jon Pear entered the great hall amongst the other students, he walked confidently and smirked at the students who seemed frightened. Although Jon Pear was a good-looking boy, he noticed their was a few boys who may meet his good looks. As he watched the other students being called up, he studied the teachers and older students. Many of them looked bored, Jon Pear thought they would be an interesting lot of people. Just as he was thinking the teacher called out his name, "Jon, Pear", he walked up and sat on the stool, the hat was placed on his head and he thought 'Now hat, if you can hear me, you know where i belong, I hope that you make the right choice and don't stuff up my schooling by putting me in the wrong house. Just to help your decision i would like to express my interest in being placed in Slytherin, as it is a noble and fine house. However I would be horrified if i were placed in Gryffindoor, but as you are the sorting hat, i will leave you to your decision' and after that Jon Pear sat and waited for the hat's decision.

"What is horrifying about Gryffindor? You want Slytherin, hmm? But you'd do rather well in Ravenclaw... Might as well, then... SLYTHERIN!"
