Xavier was really happy with how his sister seemed to be settling in just fine at the school already, she was starting her second semester now while the puff was starting his fourth - to be precise. Next year, he would get to choose his classes and that meant he needed to be on the lookout for the ones he enjoyed the most and the ones that would be useful for the future, despite the future being far away from now. One wrong decision and it could mess up his plans. Music was definitely a side career, or his backup plan if all else failed. The second year found a spot to sit, so he plopped down on the grass with his guitar and pushed up his glasses, humming to himself as he played a couple of chords, waiting for Alexis to meet up with him. Xavier found her to be a pretty cool person and friend and he smiled at the fun they had the first time they met, with all of those other people in their grade. He wanted to get to know her better though, since they hardly knew much about each other‘s lives.

Second semester seemed good to Alexis and she was getting into the routine of things. She missed home and was still anxious whenever she and her cousin met along the corridors. Other than that, she was enjoying her classes as well as the company of her friends. Third year was fast approaching and it would be the time for her to choose electives that would help her achieve her future job. She was certain she wanted to work for the ministry. Music had been passion, still was. Yet, she started taking interest in the Ministry jobs. She could be an auror or something else. But for now, she had music as her company as well as Xavier whom she was meeting at that moment.

With the guitar on hand, she made her way to the lawn. She was glad that she would be spending time with him outside classroom setting and just the two of them. Being in a group also brought out a different side of their personality. So this made meeting him more interesting to know him more. Seeing Xavier in the distance with a guitar put a wider smile on her face. Quickening her steps, she reached the Hufflepuff in no time, plopping herself beside him. "Hey, Xav.", she greeted her friend brightly with a brief hug.

Xavier had never minded being alone, as sometimes it gave him peace, and although he didn’t mind being surrounded by others he didn’t know either, he preferred being in the company of those he did know. So he was pretty content when Alexis finally joined him with her guitar. Xavier chuckled a little, as he had brought his too. The only difference was, the Hufflepuff didn’t show this skill to many people. He wasn’t entirely sure why. "Hey, Alexis. How have you been?" he asked to start a casual, relaxed conversation with his Ravenclaw friend. "Look, we’re such guitar nerds," he joked, pulling his own out to show it to her.

Alexis lightly laughed when Xavier showed her his guitar. "Guitar nerds.",she agreed,"Atleast,I am a guitar nerd with you and not alone." She felt comfortable with the Hufflepuff, despite the many friends that she had from different houses."I have been doing well. And you?",she returned the question. Her fingers were absentmindedly plucked at the strings. She wondered what songs Xav pusually played.

Xavier grinned at Alexis, nodding to her words. He didn’t often smile this easily but he liked having friends with whom he shared things in common. It was refreshing. "That is also true," he laughed a little. "I haven't met many people who I like that play guitar or a musical instrument, so it's nice to share that with someone." When Alexis asked him how he was, he shrugged. Indifferent. "Fine as well. Nothing much happened during the holidays, we visited Auckland since we don't know it too well as a family. It was nice. Of course we only went for two days, then my sister and I came back to Hogwarts." He paused. "Do you want to play?" he asked the Ravenclaw, nodding towards the guitar. Xavier knew a fair amount of songs, he didn’t know which ones Alexis knew.

Alexis leaned against the tree, feeling relaxed."Do you play other musical instruments?",she asked with interest.Sure, she had a lot of friends but there were few of whom she felt comfortable with.Xavier was one of them. Too bad, they weren't in the same house.Listening to him talk about his holidays, she was pleased to know that Xav was enjoying his time away from school. Asked if she wanted to play, she nodded enthusiastically. Moving from her spot to across her friend, she positioned her guitar. She moved just in case they collided in how they handle their instruments."Sure. Any song you wanna play?",that way the Ravenclaw could get an idea on what her friend liked to play.

Xavier shook his head at his friend's question. "No, sadly. I was thinking of learning the piano or drums, but I'm not sure I have the time. I could during the holidays, but even then I'm a little busy. What about you?" he asked, wondering the same. Xavier would really love to learn more instruments, he just needed to find the right time for it. The puff liked to have things in common with others, and he enjoyed how easy it was to talk to Alexis. "Do you know Drops of Jupiter by Train?" he suggested, warming up a little as he strummed a few chords on the strings and waited for Alexis to answer or to suggest something else if she didn't.

Alexis perked up when Xavier said about wanting to learn piano or drums. They just happened to be the two other instruments that she could play. Too bad, she could only bring her guitar around. "I could teach them to you.", she suggested with a bright smile. She did not want to sound cocky but she was excited about having a friend learn something she loved. "That is if you want me to teach you.",she added shyly.

Just as she positioned her fingers to play whatever Xav suggested, the words Drops of Jupiter came out of the Puff's mouth. "I know that song. Listen to this.", she excitedly said. She knew there was an original version to this, but she opted for a soft kind of remix. Hopefully, Xav would like it just as she did.

Xavier smiled at Alexis as she told him that she could teach those instruments to him. "That would be great!" he said excitedly. "Do you think the school has a music room? It would be really awesome if they do," he said, as at home he doubted his father would buy two other instruments that would only be played during the holidays. There also just wasn't enough time, his dad kept reminding him. Xavier raised his eyebrows, impressed, when Alexis began to play a remix, and although the puff had never heard it before it was a good cover she was playing. "That‘s amazing. We should totally play it. I‘ll harmonise," he suggested. "If you want to sing along of course, you don't have to."

Alexis smiled at Xavier's excitement. This even brought laughter out of her."As of the music room, I am not sure. Maybe we can ask around, right? If not, you can come to our house during the holidays.", she invited with a slight blush on her cheeks. The flush on her cheeks worsened when the Hufflepuff complimented her short performance on the guitar. She just laughed to conceal her face before strumming the guitar again just as Xavier suggested playing it again with him harmonizing. She nodded eagerly,"Yes. Let's do it.", situating her fingers on the guitar again.
