Something Radiates

Nathalie curtsied in front of the waiter as a sign of appreciation for the service that was offered to them before she headed out of the restaurant and ran after Jake. The first drop of rain on her skin had made her shiver, it's cold, yet she decided not to care at all. Watching Jake, Nathalie had found a sudden urge to run through the heavy drops, splash in puddles, and spin like she's never spun before.

She cannot help but to smile as she jumped in a nearby puddle. Obviously pleased about how deep this one was, she giggled. She, was covered from head to toe in mud, and she was enjoying herself. Not something she could always do, but she was. At 15 years old, it was the first time that she had enjoyed this kind of stuff. She jumped around in the puddles, her face tilted upwards, to the sky. Her arms open, as she twirled in circles. "I love the rain!" Turning her attention back to Jake as he played out a song, Nathalie started to hum to herself and she fiddled with her wet skirt, once in a while wringing out the excess water from the dripping garment. Letting herself be pulled towards the park's direction, Nathalie wondered how long this fun that she was having would lasts.

Jake laughed as Nathalie curtsied, always a lady. He flicked water at her and grinned, jumping and singing, he stuck his tongue out and caught rain on his tongue, he laughed, turning to Nathalie and watched her, as she unwound and let herself go. He laughed as he saw her jump in puddles and twirled, "I know, so do I" he yelled, jumping high in the air and clicking his heels. Though not many knew it-Jake loved to dance, he did it a lot at home, but not with his ordinary friends, with the dance troupes that hung out around his block. He began dancing then, break dancing, flipping, his wet hair flicking and sending droplets of moisture through the air.

He smiled as Nathalie came with him, upon reaching the park, he jumped over the gate and turned back to help Nathalie over, if she needed it. He smiled, like a little kid and ran toward the swings, jumping up, his clothes wet through, but he himself, warm and happy as though they were in the midst of a heat wave. He grabbed the chains on the swing and began rocking to and fro, he gestured to Nathalie, calling her to join him.

Nathalie watched in amusement as Jake started to dance, he was just like a child by then, carefree, not having any worries about what the others were thinking, and she admired him for that. She laughed quietly as he flicked some water at her, surely, it wouldn't do any affect at all, for at the moment, she was already too wet. She noticed the weirds looks that they were getting, two teenagers acting like a 7 years old while playing and dancing under such weather condition, she can already pretty much picture out what the others were thinking, yet, she didn't mind it.

She followed him as he jumped over the gate, reaching out her hand to have him help her to cross it as well. She then run towards th swings as well, just sitting to the one next to his. She looked up into the dark sky as she felt the rain touch her body. Drops run down her face as if she was crying, but she's not. She's happy. She almost can't contain the desire to express it in a sound she's not even sure that she can make. She laughed and giggled and cheered, falling from the swing onto her back with a smile on her face. She's not cold, there's a feeling of warmth coursing through her as the wind teases her, the water makes caressing motions and the earth holds her up. It won't last long. Soon the sun will be out and the others will be here. But she will still have the memory of this and the hope that it will somehow, happen again soon.

Jake laughed, glad that Nathalie was loosening up. He raised his face to the sky, letting the water trickle down his face, covering him, protecting him, envigorating him. "Whoooo!" he yelled, punching the air, and laughed, he glanced over at Nathalie, he was bent double laughing, as he looked at her though, he stopped. She seemed so much more real, inside she had been beautiful, ladylike, perfect, but now, with her clothes ruined and her hair wet-she was even better, Jake resolved there and then that he would get her to do this again.

He laughed as she came up to the swings also. Her cheered with her, but then she fell. "Nathalie!" Jake yelled, jumping off the swing and running over to her. "Are you okay?" he gasped, seeing her lying prone on the ground. It had been him who had made her come out here-if she was hurt.... How could he be such and idiot. then he realised she was smiling. "Good-you're okay, come on, lets go on the climbing frame." he smiled, pulling her to her feet and running over to the big, metal contraption, designed for children to climb on. He jumped up and got onto the roof of one of the huts. He stood on top of it and yelled. "I'm on top of the world!" -Titanic style." That was when he burst. Laughing his head off, he jumped off the roof, back onto the climbing frame, his face was a mask of mirth and he couldn't stop laughing.

Nathalie knew how weird and silly she must have looked. Mud all over her usually elegant dress, her usually perfect hair wet and now clinging unto her face, yet, she had never felt so free as she was now. She could care less if others would think that what she was doing was inappropriate, or if what she was doing was something that she shouldn't do, for at the moment, she was enjoying, and no one could stop that. She wanted to treasure this moment, have it engraved in her memory so that way, when she's alone and she's got nothing to do, she could always think back to the time that she and Jake had been like little children who were too innocent and pure not to bother about the harshness of the reality and the world around them.

She laughed as she saw the concerned look on Jake's face when she feel of the swing, honestly, it didn't hurt at all, the ground beneath her had cushioned her fall, and besides, it was her own doing that she had resulted to that position. "I'm fine." She said, smiling as she let him pull her up so she was already standing. She run after him as he climbed unto the large metal contraption. Removing her courts shoes, she started to climb after him, occasionally slipping but not stopping. She's nonathletic, but that wouldn't stop her from having fun at the moment. She watched in amusement as he jumped up so he was standing at the roof of a hut and yelled, how she had wanted to get there as well, but seeing that he had already jumped off from it, she knew that she can't. "Care to help me get up there?" She asked, head tilted at the side as her eyes were fixed at the roof of the said hut that Jake had just gone off to.

Jake's hair was drenched now, and his clothes were mucky. He could feel the damp seeping into his feet, but he was having too much fun to care. He laughed as the rain fell and turned his face skyward to meet it. "Woooooooo!" he yellled, spinning around, his arms outstretched. He fell back onto the ground and laughed, he was dizzy and his head was spinning, but Jake was having too much fun to care.

"Good, we wouldn't want you hurt on your first crazy outing." he smiled, as he ran away. He smiled as she asked for his help. He lifted her up, stepped onto a pole andturned so he could place her on the roof. He then climbed up after her. "It's great up here-isn't it?" he grinned, lying back on the roof.

Sorry for rubbish post.

Nathalie was worried when she saw Jake fell down on the ground, too worried in fact that she had run up to him to see whether he was fine or not. "Are you-" She had had to stop in mid sentence when she saw him laughing, he doesn't seem hurt at all, and that was such a relief. Hearing his laughter, Nathalie cannot help but to laugh as well, she had never felt so free than she was now, she was having so much fun, and hopefully, this one wasn't short lived at all. She knew that they might somehow get sick for staying out in the rain too long, and of course, she would have to change clothes before she went back home, but nevertheless, she decided not to think abut that at all, she was having fun, and she'll have to treasure this moment.

She was a bit surprised though when Jake had lifted her up that she cannot help but to actually blush a little by then. However, that blush ad instantly disappeared as she sat down on the roof and looked at her surrounding. "It's beautiful Jake." She said, smiling as she scanned the area, she could see the whole park from there, and she felt like she owned everything by then.

It's fine . :D

"I'm fine." he smiled, winking cheekily at her. He was glad she was loosening up, it was good to see her like a child, he himself still felt very much like a child. He jumped around in the rain, splashing in puddles, and picking up a stone he aimed for the top of the slide. He hit it straight on target and punched the air and began doing abvictory dance. "Go Jakey, go Jakey." he chanted laughing. He ran after Nathalie then.

He grinned as Nathalie blushed when he lifted her onto the roof, but he saw no other graceful alternative. "I know isn't it." he smiled, more serious now. The place looked mystical, with the rain creating a small, pitter, patter on the surfaces. The sun shining slightly through the cloud, creating a almost purpley haze surrounding them. He lay back on the roof and looked up at the sky. The dark clouds surrounded his vision, and rain fell on his face. It was peaceful and quite here-a good place to think. "I really like it here." he whispered, almost to himself.

Watching Jake do some sort a victory dance, Nathalie cannot help but to laugh, he looks so much like a child to her, enjoying everything as if there was nothing to be worried about, as if not really caring whether he'll get sick or not. "Your aim's good." She complimented him, though she figured that it wouldn't do any effect at him since he was happily enjoying what it was that he had accomplished no matter how little and insignificant it may seem. They were already getting those 'looks' from those strangers that had happened to cross the park where they were in, those people were probably thinking how reckless and weird they were right now, luckily though, there was no one around there who recognizes Nathalie, or else then, she might have to go home already.

The scene around them was really magical if that was the word for it, sitting in such a high place seemed to have the effect on someone for that person to actually acknowledge that beauty of the surroundings. Every little thing looks pretty and full of life despite the heavily pouring rain. Since the sun was already peeking out a little, it's rays had somehow managed to make a spectrum of light to appear unto the sky, "It's a rainbow Jake, look!" Nathalie exclaimed like a little child, pointing at the multicolored arc just opposite to them, it was fascinating in her opinion, and it was really beautiful unlike what she had seen before when she was just looking at it through her room's window. She looked down at Jake who was already lying, he looks really peaceful to her, and really, she wonders if she'll ever look the same.
