Robbie walked out along the Great Lawn, intent on getting out for today. He had been really busy lately, what with all of the classes and then the getting ready to exams, he just wanted to have one day where he could go outside and soak in the glorious radiance of the sun and maybe make a new friend with whom he would be able to spend a fair bit of time with. Though it was Winter, it was one of the odd days where it was sunny, though there was a little bit of snow around Robbie didn't mind at all. He loved the snow, and playing with it was a good way to lose oneself in the world around him, and that was just what he wanted to do today. Now, if only he could find somebody to lose themselves with him. That would probably be something that would keep him busy all day, just being with somebody and losing himself in the snow.

Robbie had really only made one good friend lately, and he hadn't seen him in a while. He missed Damian, and the time he had spent with him had been fun. He was a really nice guy when you got used to him and he hoped that he would be able to see him soon, but he would probably be busy for the time being with his classes and his exam studying as well. Not to mention his other friends, so he didn't mind. Though, Robbie had been watching all the happy couples around the castle lately and couldn't help but wish that he had somebody that would look at him the way some of those girls looked at their boyfriends, it would definitely be a nice feeling for Robbie, and something that would make him really happy. It was kind of all he wanted from a person right now, right next to a couple of new friends who he could hang with every day.

Robbie liked to sit outside sometimes, and just take in everything. Every little detail, from the utterly beautiful things that were out there to the things that would make Robbie scream like a girl and run in the opposite direction, they all seemed to interest him in one way or another. When he was on his own, which was a lot of the time, he tended to just sit outside and do things like that. Robbie was strange in some ways, but clearly there were a few people who liked him for it, and he would want to find somebody that loved him for him, and how he could just stare into space and forget all his troubles. Robbie smiled when some people started coming outside, and he watched them as they walked around the grounds together. He liked doing that, just watching people who enjoyed themselves outside. Some would probably get weirded out, but most didn't notice him.

This beautiful winter day that Laura had woken up to gave her a slight feeling in the pit of her stomach that it would stay in her mind for years to come. It was a timeless day, a day where it was winter and it was cold but it was sunny too. It was a day that rarely came in winter. Laura got out of the safety of her warm bed and got dressed. The clothes she had picked for the day were perfectly suited for the uncommon weather that had appeared that morning. She was wearing black skinny jeans, her favourite converse sneakers once again and a t-shirt with a black coat overtop. Wearing a t- shirt was appropriate due to the fact that the temperature might rise and she could easily take off the coat and she could also keep it on and stay warm if the sunny weather subsided and everything became cold once again. While Laura brushed her long brown hair, she pondered to herself what she could do that day, she could go to the library and study for exams, or she could slack off and have some fun for a change. Lately her days had been consumed with studying for exams, she wanted to do well and because she had been slacking off in class, she needed to work hard to get the exam results she desired.

Working hard to achieve something she wanted was never a hard task for Laura, she usually had enough motivation to do well in school, it had been different for her recently. She felt like something was missing, like she didn't have something she needed. Laura couldn't figure out exactly what it was, she had originally thought it was her lack of friends, she dismissed the idea when she never felt like she wanted a friend. She didn't need a friend to talk to and have fun with. She felt like she needed something more then a close friend. Still, she couldn't put her finger on what it was. It did embarrass her, being ignorant was something she rarely did and when she did do something ignorant she always grew angry with herself. Putting her hair brush down and leaving her dorm, Laura started to walk aimlessly around the castle. She still hadn’t made a complete decision on what to do that day. Studying seemed like a far away option, due to the fact the she hadn't brought her bag of school books with her. It was a relief and a burden to get away from her books, she had subconsciously forgotten them, knowing that was a sign her brain had crammed in enough school work to handle, Laura set her sights on relaxing and forgetting about stress of school.

It felt like a good decision for Laura to venture herself to going to the Great Lawn that day, it seemed like a soothing place to be, spending her time in the vast beauty of nature and the school grounds. Laura had always admired how the castle looked, she thought it looked so medieval yet so modern too, she thought the castle had a modern vibe because all of the young students like herself wore modern clothes. Minus the odd person wearing old-fashioned clothes every now and then. It amused her, she thought it was adorable how much confidence some people had. Arriving at the great lawn, Laura paused and took a deep breath in; the air felt cold and refreshing against her skin. The cold morning air was calming, Laura could feel the stress of school vanish. The warmth of the sun didn't change the temperature of the air, it just made everything look brighter and sunnier, Laura wouldn't change a thing about it. The day seemed perfect and she knew that nothing could ruin it. Snapping back into reality, Laura looked around the lawn, it wasn't empty, in fact, there were quite a lot of people there. Laura smiled to herself, they all looked happy. Laura found a place so sit and relax that looked pleasant, it was in a place were there weren't many people. Laura walked to it and lay down in the grass, she didn't care if the frost was making her hair wet. She continued to smile to herself while she soaked herself in the suns rays.

Robbie, still looking intently around the entire lawn, was happy to see a girl come out here now. With the sun in the sky, in the middle of winter, he could see why she would want to come out here now. Robbie wondered if she would notice him, and come over to say hello. It would be nice if she did, but as he watched her look around she seemed to just look right over him. Robbie sighed softly when she went to lie on the grass away from him where he wouldn't be able to have anything else to do with her. Robbie wondered whether or not he should go over and just talk to her. He knew that it wouldn't hurt him to just go over and try to talk to her, she didn't look like she would care. She kind of looked a little bit lonely, or maybe she was just lost in her own little world. Robbie tended to do that sometimes, it was his only escape from the world that was out here. The world where people picked on him for no reason at all other then the fact that they knew he wouldn't fight back, and wouldn't tell anybody on them. Robbie stood up, deciding it was time for him to actually do something other than sit around out here on his own.

Robbie walked over to where the girl was, watching her careful, before finally deciding whether or not he should voice his opinion on anything. He wanted to make friends with her, because by the look of her she didn't seem like that much of a bad person. She seemed to be really nice. But, looks could be deceiving and he wanted to make sure he actually got to know her before they actually became proper friends. That sounded pretty stupid in his mind, but he just hoped that she wouldn't ask him about anything like that. "Hello." Robbie said, remembering not to think about what he was doing too much, and just acting. That was the key to him not being shy, he had figured out. "Wha .. what brings you out here?" Robbie said, making his first mistake of the day. He hoped it wouldn't mess anything up. He really did. Robbie was the type of person who needed friends, and their company, and basically they made him happy, pretty much all the time. Robbie thought about what he should do next. Whether he should stay here and wait for her to reply or just run for it so that he wouldn't have to put up with the embarrassment of being blown off.

Robbie was a strange person, to most, because all they saw when they looked at him was a shy person. Somebody who stuttered a lot and somebody who was scared of a lot of things. Robbie wanted somebody who saw past this. Somebody who didn't care about it all, and who could accept it for that. He wanted a true friend. Robbie wondered who exactly the girl in front of him was, and he knew that there was probably only one way he would get the answer to that question. "I'm .. Robbie .. who might .. you be?" He said, and kind of regretted he had. He was still having trouble talking, and he hated it. Though, if he hadn't met Damian before, it would probably be a lot worse. Damian was like him in some ways, and he had helped him to overcome his fear of all that. He smiled at the girl, and sat down in front of her. It couldn't hurt, could it? The worst she could do was probably just get up and walk away from him, but he really hoped that she wouldn't do something like that.

The bright and illuminating sunshine of the day hadn't faded, as a matter of fact, it became even brighter. Laura was pleased that she had left all her schoolbooks behind, it felt as if she had left every ounce of stress and anxiety behind. It felt like a new beginning. Laura wasn't one to read too much into things, she would usually look only at the facts and the logical side of everything. Today was different, and while the day felt like a new beginning, Laura knew the night would bring more. An end to something else maybe? Laura really wanted to stop the way her sleep patterns were going, it would take her ages to fall asleep and when she finally did, she would only sleep for a few hours and when she woke up, all hope of getting enough sleep would leave her, she would only have a few hours until she had to be up. Laura was lucky though, the insomnia that was plaguing her nights would never show itself during the day. She would have no signs she had been losing precious sleep, apart from her consistent daydreaming in class. She still looked as fresh as she would if she slept properly the night before. It was due to the stress of school, Laura would worry about her grades at night and during the day, she would daydream all her aspirations she had made to focus in class from the last time she had lost focus while learning.

The relaxing atmosphere at the lawn, made Laura feel almost as if she might fall asleep right then and there, she was pleased she had been ingenious enough to decide to endeavour there that day, it was a simple decision, a decision that she would never come to regret. For a completely unknown reason, one which Laura wouldn't dream of trying to figure out, she felt like this was a day that would impact her life in a way that nothing could describe. Not even the sweetest of poems or the saddest of songs could even start to unwind why she felt that way. It was a mystery, Laura loved mysteries, she loved how they gave nothing but a small clue yet they still kept you interested. Laura's contemplating was interrupted by an unfamiliar voice, Laura sat up almost instantly and saw where it was coming from, she was surprised anyone would say anything to her, she wasn't giving out any signs she wanted to start a conversation. Nonetheless, Laura would never be rude to somebody that was kind enough to say hello. "Hi, I'm here because I needed any and every excuse to get away from studying." Laura stated, she was always completely honest and she wasn't about to lie now, not when a stranger was kind enough to talk to her.

Unfortunately, Laura couldn't see them properly, the brightness of the sun was blocking her vision. She was curious to see what they looked like, Laura wasn't the person to judge anybody by their appearance, she wasn't the kind of person to judge anybody really, she wouldn't even judge a person if they insulted her to her face. It was a quality in Laura that she didn't care in showing, she was proud of how she accepted everybody. The stranger's name was Robbie, Laura thought it was a nice name; it floated off the tongue so easily it was like you weren't saying anything at all. It felt like that to her at least. "I'm Laura." She said with a subtle smile, she had barely talked to Robbie but she felt like she had seen him before, if only she knew if she had actually seen him or not. Even if she couldn't see Robbie properly, it was a lucky yet predictable occurrence that he sat down in front of her. She was relieved that she didn't have to get up, she felt a little lazy that day and getting up would be a stretch for her, she was too comfortable in the grass to stand up and move for that matter. She wasn't usually lazy, she was actually quite active. It brought on her slim figure, since that day felt so different, Laura felt different. She felt like a different person.

Robbie smiled. She was a kind person, and she was honest. He liked that in a person, because he found they were a lot easier for him to open up to then people who kept things hidden inside them and never let out their feelings. He loved it when he found people that tended to open up, because there actually weren't all that many in the world. People that were honest to complete strangers were also difficult to find, but he liked this girl. He wondered if she wouldn't mind if he sticked around. Before he had come over, she had looked quite content with being alone, but hopefully she just wouldn't mind and would actually spend the day with him. Robbie chuckled, slightly. Maybe he had made a new friend, maybe not. He wasn't sure what was going through her mind, and that probably wouldn't change any time soon. Robbie wondered what was going through her mind, actually. "That does sound like a good reason to come out here, and it's close to the same as mine." Robbie said. He was sick of having to study, as well, it pretty much drove him insane. Because he hated being cooped up inside the castle with nothing but staring at paper to do, and he was sure that there was a near infinite amount of people who agreed with him.

Robbie definitely liked this girl, Laura she said her name was. It was a cool name. Simple, and small, but interesting. Robbie could see she was straining to see him, so he shifted a bit so that he wasn't directly in the sun. "Better?" He asked, unsure if that was what she had wanted. To be honest, from what he could see of Laura, she was quite pretty. Though, he probably wouldn't tell her that just yet, she might take it the wrong way. And to be honest, who wouldn't that something like that the wrong way? It was a compliment to say the most, and it was flirting in a lot of ways. He didn't exactly have a reason to flirt with her though, because he knew nothing about her. But there was always room to learn about her, and time to get to know her, and for her to get to know him. But he still wasn't entirely sure. "Laura's a cute name." Robbie said, before he realised what he was saying. He quickly turned away, blushing. He couldn't believe he had said anything like that, and he probably wouldn't be able to talk to her again. That was if she even wanted to talk to him after that. He sighed, preparing for her to get up and leave him there because he had said something that he shouldn't have said. At least, shouldn't have said yet.

It was unknown wether it was the exposure to the sun, or if it was the fact that half her body was cold and half was warm. Laura didn't know why she started to feel a little queasy. It could have very well been the burrito she had for dinner the previous day or it could have just been nerves from meeting somebody knew that she felt was significant to her. Either way, Laura knew that something deep in her stomach wasn't right. It felt like there was either was something very bad or something very good about to happen. Was this unusual for her? Yes. Did she care? No. Laura wanted to focus on what was happening in front of her rather than what was happening inside her belly. It was the right thing she had to do and she would do it anyway, despite how weird her body was being. Ignoring what her body was trying to tell her as she would in any other situation, Laura looked straight at Robbie, it was easier now that she could see him properly, without the sun blocking her vision. "Oh, studying is so full on sometimes that you need to take a good break and let your mind relax." Laura exclaimed with a serious but somehow playful tone to her voice. It was a mix of opposite emotions, something she was able to portray without fault.

Running a delicate hand through her hair ever so softly, trying to take her hair from the state of dampness it had grown to be in while she was lulling quietly to herself in the grass. Laura's smile widened as Robbie complimented her name. She felt flattered, nobody had complimented on her name being "Cute" before. It was due to how common and boring it was, Laura had always thought her name was boring and lifeless, now her opinion had changed a little. It is amazing how compliments change people's opinions of themselves, it can change their opinions to the point where they think so highly of themselves they become consumed in their own ego. Laura knew this wouldn't happen to her, she wasn't stupid enough to let something as unimportant as her ego take control of her, she wasn't stupid enough to let anything take control of her. "Thanks, you're name's cool too. It sounds exotic somehow." The tone in Laura's voice had changed now, it was now a tone that sounded joking bout also honest. A better combination than the previous tone one might say, but an interesting tone that Laura frequently used. Laura looked directly at Robbie and managed another smile, this time it was smaller but a little sweeter.

Robbie didn't exactly know what was going on here. She was still talking to him, and that was actually something he hadn't expected. He smiled at her, though, pleased with the fact that she was. She seemed like a really nice person to him, and he would love it if she would stick around hang with him for the day. Though, Robbie couldn't shake the small feeling in his stomach. He didn't know what it was, and he had never felt anything like it before. He wanted to know what it meant, but he wasn't going to go around asking some girl he barely even knew, either. Robbie chuckled softly, "Yes, you do have a point there. You can lose yourself in your studying, but getting out of it and just losing yourself with other people can be the best part of all. Which is why I like to take breaks as much as I can. Though I haven't had anybody to lose myself with before, can't see that happening anytime soon though." he said, sighing softly. He hated that he was so negative sometimes, it kind of sucked a lot. Robbie wondered what could be going through Laura's head, she seemed to be the kind of person to just get lost in her own little world. That was actually pretty cool.

Robbie looked at her, and if he had had any idea what love actually was, he probably would have been able to figure out what was going on inside of his stomach. But, he didn't, so he was doomed to wait for Laura to bring it up or for her to do something that would set Robbie off in a way. Robbie couldn't help but kind of stare at the girl, but then he realised what he was doing and quickly turned away, embarrassed again. "Thanks, how does it sound exotic, though?" Robbie asked, still not facing Laura. He didn't want her to catch him staring at her. After all, he didn't even know why he was doing it. Robbie hoped that Laura didn't think he was weird because of how he was acting. Heck, he thought he was acting weird, and he was himself. He didn't understand how he could understand so little about how he was feeling. "I kind of feel strange inside." Robbie admitted, not meaning to do so. Jeeze. First flirting, and now that. What in the world is going on? He hated how he couldn't even understand himself, and what was going through his head. Was he in love? Or was it something else?

It was unusual for Laura to take a liking to somebody she had only just met. She had barely talked to Robbie and she felt like she already knew him. She felt as if she could predict everything he did, every move, everything. It was weird, she would usually need to get to know somebody well before she felt like she knew them. An obvious statement but a true one. You could only tell what people were like after you had at least talked to them about something more than just schoolwork and studying. It enticed Laura in a way, but it repelled her too. She wanted to know more but she wanted to stay away. Feeling torn between two things was something Laura wasn't accustomed to in ay shape or form but she had a feeling that she would have to get used to it for the time being. "Neither, I tend to focus on the atmosphere around me instead of the people so I can't really lose myself with anybody, usually." Laura assumed, since they day was so different she felt so different, and everything she usually carried out had gone right out the window. She didn't mind one bit though, in fact, she enjoyed it. It was new and exciting, not something she had experienced in a while, since she started going to Hogwarts. It was wonderful; this new feeling of refreshment Laura had was one of the most unique things she had felt in a while. She knew that Robbie might have something to do with it, she was thankful he had brought something like this out in her.

Hugging her knees, Laura noticed that Robbie was staring at her. She couldn't understand why, she thought there must be something on her face. When Robbie turned away and blushed again, she felt like there was something wrong with her. She had previously chosen to ignore the ever so subtle way Robbie had turned away from her while blushing before, now she felt like it was something she needed to ask about. She thought it was best to ignore it for the time being "I don't know why, it just feels exotic for some reason." Laura said with a casual shrug, it was true, she didn't know why it sounded exotic at all, it just did to her. She managed a small smile, even though Robbie wasn't facing her she still wanted to seem nice and for some reason she actually cared about how she looked to him. She couldn't understand why she felt so weird around Robbie, she was slightly relieved that the feeling in her stomach had instinctively left her. The feeling taking over her now was one of curiosity and nervousness of how she looked and acted towards Robbie. He was shy, she thought it was adorable, she had never thought a boy was adorable before. It was something different, just like the day and like the feeling Laura had about everything in general that day. Laura felt amazing and calm with a tiny hint of laziness it was unlike anything that Laura had experienced. Laura wanted Robbie to look at her again but she was hesitant to ask, she waited until Robbie was able to look at her again in his own time.

Robbie still wasn't able to bring himself to look at Laura again. What if she had a go at him for staring at her? What if she was staring at him? What if she bombarded him with questions? All these things, and more, were going through Robbie's head, and he hated it. There was one voice in his head that told him he should stare at her, and not care about what could happen. But how could he listen to that voice? Most girls didn't like to be stared at by people they barely knew, and he didn't want to mess up this friendship before it even had a chance to begin. But, Robbie, more impulsive then he had ever been in his life - which wasn't very much - decided to listen to that little voice in his head that was telling him something that could quite possibly ruin the whole friendship if she took it the wrong way. Robbie turned around, and looked at Laura, not wanting to look away. He knew he would have to eventually, because she would question him for doing it. But for now, he did. Completely unaware that he was blushing and there were twenty-seven million things going through his head at the same time. Robbie couldn't help himself.

However, what Robbie found wasn't a girl who was looking away and examining other things. She was looking at him, directly at him, and he didn't want to look away from her. He didn't know why he was doing this, he didn't know why he was doing it at all. He didn't know how long he would be able to last staring at her, with her staring back at him. He wasn't used to it. "Yeah, well, I don't have the chance to lose myself with people. So, usually, I just sit out here and do it by myself. It can get more then a little boring." Robbie said, answering what she had said a little while ago, only now registering she had said it. He probably shouldn't mention he hadn't been paying attention to her. Though, that wasn't exactly true. Because, he had been paying attention to her, just not to what she was saying. He wasn't making much sense, not even to himself. "Well, if you say so." Robbie said, not seeing how his name could be seen as exotic to anyone. He thought it was plain, simple, and just unoriginal. Robbie saw a look on Laura's face that told him she wanted to ask questions. "I can see you have questions." He said, wondering whether or not she would even want to ask them. But he wanted her to. "You can go ahead and ask them, if you want." He said, fully prepared to answer truthfully.

Being the kind and open person that she was, Laura was a little astonished when Robbie was taking a while to look at her. Laura felt as though she had done something wrong. She felt like she had scared him or at least pushed him away a little bit, it was the last thing she wanted to do. She wanted to get to know Robbie more and now that she had a feeling that she had said something wrong, she started to feel nervous. It was a feeling that Laura rarely experienced but she knew it well enough to recognise it as soon as she noticed it. "Did I do something wrong?" Laura asked, she had the same caring tone as before but this time it was laced with a little anxiety. She actually believed that she did something wrong and she wanted to know exactly what it was. Her feelings changed almost instantly when Robbie turned back to face her. Her nerves almost completely went away, she already felt a little nervous from before but now the nerves were bearable, now she could comfortably ignore it once again. "I find it easy to lose myself when I am alone. For me it's easy to zone out and forget about the outside world." Laura said, the truthful tone in her voice obvious yet again. Laura had never cared about how honest she was, she only cared about it when she lied. She had a strong conscience, and a loud one at that. Whenever she did something bad she would always feel guilty immediately afterwards. When she felt guilty she couldn't sleep properly, that might've been one of the reasons she wasn't sleeping properly, she felt guilty about something. Not paying attention in class maybe? Biting her lip, Laura looked away from Robbie for a quick moment. She needed to get her thoughts together. She was still confused as to why she felt so different around him. She dismissed the idea once she realised it was rude to ignore a conversation, she looked back at Robbie and managed a small smile.

Feeling a little more confused, Laura hugged her knees a little tighter. One would say a sign of insecurity. In this case Laura was showing confusion instead. She felt happier and optimistic before and now it had turned into something that was making her uncomfortable. She wanted to change her mood back to the one before and luckily she knew exactly how to do that. She wanted some food, it would change her mood completely. It wasn't because Laura ate food when she felt bad or anything, she just knew that the warm feeling in her stomach that you get from food, chocolate in particular would make her feel comfortable again. She hadn't eaten anything yet that day and she did feel hungry. Maybe that was the reason she was actually thinking about food at all. What could she have for lunch, A Burrito? Laura didn't know. She didn't want to leave this conversation to get food though. "I do have a few questions." Laura stated in such a way that showed how much she enjoyed talking to Robbie. She was still a little hesitant to ask the few questions that she wanted to know the answers to. She smiled again, this time it wasn't a smile to hide her nerves, it was a smile that showed how much she wanted to know about Robbie. "Why do you keep looking away?" Laura asked in a concerned tone. "I was just wondering, I hope I didn't do anything wrong." Her explanation linked back to the question she had asked before, it was on the subject, so, why not ask it. Laura's honest personality was showing itself again, and again, she didn't mind a single bit. She quietly hoped that Robbie was an honest person too. If he was as honest as her then her would make a good friend, or maybe more. Laura still wasn't sure exactly how she felt about Robbie at this point, it was still very confusing. At least she didn't feel uncomfortable anymore.

Robbie was still staring at Laura, and he was surprised that she hadn't said anything to him about it. She hadn't looked away from him either, and he wanted to know what was going on. He wasn't complaining or anything, and he only just now realised that he was blushing really bad, he could feel the warmth that was on his face. Robbie wanted to turn away and hide his shame, but he still had all the voices in his head telling him that if he wanted to get anywhere with Laura he would have to stop being shy and stop treating her as if she was going to run away from him at the first chance she could get just because he was staring at her. Robbie knew that she didn't seem like the type to run off, the type to ditch somebody for no good reason. Robbie didn't know her all that well, but he trusted her to at least do that. Still blushing, Robbie smiled. "W-w-w-why w-w-w-w-would you h-h-have done something w-w-w-wrong?" Robbie asked, his shyness finally shining through. He was about ready to run for it now, just because of that. He hated it when he showed himself off as weak, but he didn't want to look away. He couldn't stop staring at her, looking directly into her eyes. He didn't want to look away.

Robbie couldn't figure out why Laura would even want to stare at him, and he had so much going through his mind. He couldn't understand why he wanted to stare at Laura. Did he have feelings for her? He blushed again at the thought of it, he didn't think he would ever be able to admit that to Laura even if he did have feelings, and he didn't know that for sure. He wanted to figure it out though, and he wanted to figure it out sometime soon. He smiled at Laura, and wondered what was going through her head. She seemed to be confused, she was hugging her legs and he wondered if it was his fault. He heard her ask why he kept looking away, and wished she hadn't asked that particular question. "Well, uhm .. uhm .." He started, blushing as red as a tomato. He didn't know what to tell her. He sighed, "W-w-well, I-i-i guess I just get embarrassed because I'm staring at you, and you're staring back and it just feels embarrassing b-because I barely know you." He admitted, shyly. He didn't know what she would think of that. He hated it, it made him feel like he wasn't able to socially be around people or interact with them.

Today was a great day for Laura, she had gotten out of studying to enjoy her day outside. Little did she know that she would meet somebody new, somebody she felt a connection to that she couldn't understand, yet. Somebody that she felt happy and comfortable around but she also nervous and a bit frightened to do something wrong. The feeling was intense and Laura couldn't describe it. She had no idea what it was or why she was feeling what she was feeling but she did know that it was like nothing she had experienced before. She wanted to understand the feeling and know where it came from. She felt like it was going to be a while before she even knew what to call it. She also felt like she would know exactly what it was really soon. This torn feeling was new to Laura, but at least she knew what it was, this torn feeling. At least she knew exactly how it felt to be torn. Not like this new feeling that she didn't know what it was. She would usually start to feel a little angry in a situation like this but she didn't, she was happy to be talking to somebody like Robbie, somebody who seemed so lost but seemed like they knew exactly where they were at the same time, it was so inspiring to Laura, she felt like one of the main character's in the many books she had read, she felt so alive and she felt so wonderful to be alive. "I don't know, I just felt like I had done something wrong because you kept looking away from me." Laura explained to Robbie. She thought it was adorable how Robbie was stuttering, she thought that it showed nervousness in him but she wasn't sure, she was able to read people but she couldn't do it very well and it embarrassed her sometimes, but not today. She was just happy she was around Robbie.

Liking how the sun felt on her skin, Laura held her head back slightly, she loved how the warmth of the sun mixed with the cooling sensation of how the melting frost felt. It was so calming and she didn't want any of it to end not her conversation with Robbie, not this moment, not this day. Laura wanted to feel more calm so she tilted her head back forward and took off her coat, Laura liked the t-shirt she was wearing that day, she thought that it had a look of simplicity and complexity at the same time. Laura likes the simple things in life and how simple her t-shirt was differed from her mood completely it was almost refreshing for her. As Laura looked back at Robbie, she let out a quiet chuckle when she noticed how obviously he was blushing. She didn't know why yet but she assumed that Robbie was a shy person and was embarrassed to be stuttering. As Robbie let out a sigh and answered her question, Laura smiled again and contemplated what she would say back to him. Laura did barely know Robbie and she did want to know more, "Lets get to know each other then." Laura said with a playful wink. She didn't know wether or not she was acting appropriately but she was being playful, that's what young people should do. As she continued to smile at Robbie, Laura was wondering what she could ask him, she didn't know what to ask him at all. She thought it was best to start with the basics, she knew that wouldn't fail. "So, where do you live?" Laura queried before laying back down on the grass, it was a lot dryer now but still wet from the dew. Laura thought that this was one of those days, a day she would remember for a long time, she didn't know why yet but the mix of how beautiful the scenery was and how adorably funny Robbie was and her feeling of contempt in general. Laura knew that today was a great day and she didn't want it to end anytime soon.

Robbie didn't know whether or not he regretted coming out here today, or whether this would be the best day of his life. He loved that he had made a new friend, and he loved that he felt as though they had been friends for a long time, he wanted to get to know every aspect of her. At least, the ones that she felt comfortable in sharing with him. Robbie knew he wouldn't be comfortable in telling somebody every single little detail to something of a complete stranger regularly. But he wouldn't call Laura a complete stranger, not by a long shot. He trusted her to a degree, and there was a strange feeling that he had for her. He didn't know what it was, but Robbie tended to find that he just couldn't look away from her, and he wouldn't look away from her. There was so much that he wanted to tell her about himself, and he wanted to know the little feeling that he had, or not so little feeling. But Robbie knew that there would probably always be a little shy part of him inside that was shy, and always would be shy. "N-no. You didn't d-do anything wrong, I-I'm just embarrassed to be seen as staring at you, I g-guess." Robbie sounded like he was shivering, that wasn't good. She might think there was something wrong with him and she would probably go and get help for him. That meant he would be left here alone while she went to get somebody, and what if she didn't come back?

Robbie couldn't help but cringe a little bit when Laura asked for them to get to know each other. He knew that this would have had to happen eventually if they were ever to be anything more then normal friends. Maybe they'd be best friends, maybe they'd be something more. Robbie just didn't know what would happen between the two of them, and he kind of felt a bit funny at the thought of them being something more than best friends. That whole idea there was something new to him, and he didn't know if he would be able to do anything good with it, or whether or not he would still be that shy little kid that barely had any friends. That was something that always worried him. He smiled at Laura, a little more weaker then he intended to happen. He didn't want to think about whether or not she would like what she heard about him, or whether she would just run away and never talk to her again. He wanted to trust her though. "I come from here, in N-New Z-Zealand." Robbie said, wishing he could feel a little bit more confident when he spoke to Laura. "Where do you come from?" He choked out, sighing when he was done, wishing he hadn't asked it. They were on their way. Something about him wanted to be more then best friends with her.

As Laura watched Robbie, she saw somebody that she knew she would remember. She didn't know why or how, she just knew she would. It was another unexplainable thing that she wanted to know the answer to but she wasn't able to find out. It would have angered her or frustrated her because she wanted to know. She wanted to understand why she felt like this on a wonderful day. She wanted to find out why she felt like she already knew Robbie. But could she find out? No. Her mind was too distracted by Robbie and the scenery around her to focus on the answer she was looking for, the answer she wanted. She was intrigued by Robbie and she wanted to know more, she didn't have any friends at Hogwarts and she felt that Robbie was going to become one. Maybe more. Laura enjoyed lying in the grass, she wasn't looking at Robbie anymore, if she did she would strain her neck. She was looking up at the sunny sky, it was bright but not so bright that Laura had to squint. The sky was blue, it was the colour of the ocean, Laura's favourite colour. It was also one of the colours of her house, Laura was pleased she was in Ravenclaw. It was a house that suited her perfectly. She felt so calm and free of stress, it was such a change from what she was feeling recently, the stress and anxiety of exams. Luckily, Laura had met Robbie, it was like the reason she felt so soothed was because she was around him. It was something else unexplainable. "Why would you be embarrassed by staring at me?" Laura asked Robbie, she thought it was weird that somebody would be embarrassed about looking at her, she started to worry. Although, looking at the sky made her feel a little less worried. Laura wasn't going to sit back up anytime soon, she enjoyed how soothing it was, the mix of the heat of the sun and the cold of the wet grass. Laura hoped that Robbie wouldn't take the fact that she wasn't looking at him in the wrong way.

While Laura continued to look at the vast blue sky, she started to feel calmer with every passing moment, it was an experience like no other. Laura was thankful that she was experiencing it, she thought that it could end at any moment and when it ended she would go back to normal, being in the rut of daydreaming and not focusing on what was around her. She was focusing perfectly at the moment and she wanted to make the most of it while she could and at the moment, she was focusing on the day and how eerily illumining it was. Laura did know that not facing Robbie, or looking at him for that matter, was rude. She didn't want him to think she was a rude person, she wanted him to think that she was nice, trustworthy and sweet, just like what she thought he was. Laura breathed out slowly, she needed to clear her head, she had too many thoughts rushing through it at an almost lightning pace. It was weird, she needed to try to clear her head just to do s simple task. She thought it was a little scary but she didn't care, she just wanted to look good to Robbie, which she hoped she did. Once Laura heard Robbie say that he was originally from New Zealand, Laura felt herself smile. She liked New Zealand. "I was born in Argentina and I grew up in San Diego." Laura said casually, she liked San Diego. It was a place she thought was wonderful, she thought of it as home even though she hadn't been born there. Laura still thought she was being rude, she knew that she should probably ask him to join her, but she couldn't really be bothered. She still felt a bit lazy and making an effort to do something felt so far away and so hard to do. Laura knew that she needed to though. "Would you like to join me, Robbie?" Laura asked, she thought it was a good idea to make an effort for Robbie, she felt it was worth it, talking to Robbie was worth it. Minus how shaky he sounded.

Whoops my bad. :r
Ignore.

Robbie didn't know if he wanted to join Laura lying down on the grass, or if she even wanted him to join her. He could lie down there and she could question him for his intentions and she might tell him to leave. He sighed softly, and smiled at her, not wanting her to know everything that was on his mind. He had so much to think about right now, and he didn't even know what the feeling he had that was eating away inside him. He wanted to know why he couldn't stop staring at Laura. Was there a reasonable explanation for all of this? Or was it just something that was going to happen that he didn't have any control over. Which ever it was, he just wanted to be able to figure it what it was. If he just knew the answer to that one, simple question, he would be able to be so much more at ease around Laura. At least, he hoped that he would be able to, anyway. He needed to know what was going on with him, he needed to know what was happening. He just needed to know. Robbie smiled shyly as Laura asked why he was embarrassed, "Because, well, uhm, I guess you could take it the wrong way if you caught me staring at y-you." And with that simple statement, Robbie realised exactly what was happening. He was falling for Laura. But how? He had only known her for a day.

All of a sudden, with that realisation, Robbie didn't know what to do. He had been wrong, he wasn't able to relax around Laura now, everything had seemed to get worse. What if he did something on an impulse and she didn't want it to happen? What if he told her and she never spoke to him again? There were just so many bad things that could happen, but how could Robbie keep something like that all pent up inside him where nobody would ever find out. Maybe Laura would figure it out for him and save him the trouble, because he didn't even know if he would be able to say anything to her about this. He was far too embarrassed, and he just didn't know what she would do. Robbie smiled at her, a little weakly, when she told him where she had been born. He didn't want to seem like he had something wrong but he also didn't want her to think she had done something wrong. "C-c-c-cool, I-I-I-I've always w-w-wanted to go t-t-there." Robbie said, hoping she realised that he meant the latter and not Argentina. He sighed. "Uhm, well, uhm, yeah... okay I guess I will." Robbie said, starting to sound like a scared little kid, and technically that was exactly what he was. He was scared to admit his growing feelings for Laura.

Since Laura had invited Robbie to lay on the soft grass with her, that meant that she wanted to continue the conversation lying down looking at the flawless sky, it didn't mean that Laura wanted to attack him or anything, Laura enjoyed talking to Robbie and she enjoyed spending time with him. She wouldn't want to stop the conversation, even though it was confusing her to a great extent. She had to admit, she thought it was a little weird that Robbie was staring at her, but she thought it was flattering too. She liked lying on the grass, feeling the dew dampen her long brown hair, it was an unexplainable feeling, just like a lot of the other ones she was having and again, she didn't care, she was too happy and calm to ruin this wonderful moment, although, Laura did feel a little uneasy when Robbie didn't lie down next to her. She thought about sitting up and asking him why he wasn't lying down with her but she still felt too lazy to make any kind of effort to get up. She wanted to but the energy had left her, she couldn't get up easily. "I don't think I could take it in the wrong way." Laura said while focusing her attention on the simple task of sitting up. It felt like gravity was keeping her on the grass, like something she couldn't control was stopping her from looking at Robbie again. It was a weird feeling and Laura wanted it to go away and the only way she could think of was to get up. "Would you take it in the wrong way if I was staring at you?" Laura asked, she was just lying on the grass, it was simple but it was also something she wanted to end. If only she could be bothered getting up. This newfound laziness was turning into a bit of a curse. That's how Laura felt at least. Maybe it was a good thing that she wanted to get out of the rut she felt like she was in.

Finally gathering up enough energy to sit up again, Laura sat up and found herself directly in front of Robbie where she once was. It was refreshing to see his face again but now that she could see him, she noticed that he was freaking out a little. He was blushing really obviously and he looked like he was shaking. Laura reached out and put her hand on his shoulder, she looked him in the eyes, she didn't want to see him freak out and it was making her feel a little uneasy, she decided that the best thing to do was to try and comfort him, which is what she was doing right that moment. She was touching him softly, he was really tense and she wanted him to relax. Somehow it felt so far away. It felt as though Robbie wasn't about to relax anytime soon but Laura still hoped that Robbie would feel better and whatever he was freaking out about to go away. "Really? I don't think I have ever met anyone who has ever wanted to go to San Diego." Laura said with a kind smile, her hand was still placed on Robbie's shoulder. She wasn't about to move her hand yet, she wanted to keep touching him for some reason. Robbie then agreed to lie down with her, she was a little relieved but she was mostly worried about him, he still seemed tense and he sounded really scared. Laura started to think that maybe she was scaring him. Laura took her hand off of Robbie's shoulder and looked at the ground. She didn't mean to scare him, she just wanted to make him feel better. Laura looked back up at Robbie, managing a smile, she still wanted to seem nice to him even though she was scaring him. She ran her hand through her hair once again before she looked back into his eyes and sighed.

Robbie smiled when Laura said that she didn't think she would be able to take it the wrong way. Robbie knew what way he meant it in, now anyway, but she didn't and he didn't want to think about what could happen if she realised what he had been thinking while he stared at her. Every single thought had been about her. Some girls may find that cute, some creepy. But Laura, he just couldn't be sure about. She wasn't like most girls, in his opinion. She was different, in a really good way. "Well, o-okay, if you say s-so." Robbie said, starting to feel slightly less scared that she was going to get up and leave him here on his own, but there was still that little feeling inside of him that thought exactly that. Though, it wasn't as dominant as it had been before. He had it in check, and this was a good thing for him, because it meant that he could concentrate properly. "Well, uhm, no I wouldn't. I kind of like it actually." He said, before he could stop himself saying that last part. poop. He thought, wondering what she would say to that, or whether she would even say anything at all. Robbie went bright red at the thought of it.

Robbie watched as she finally sat up, and didn't actually want to lie back down now, so he sat up with her. He didn't know what was on her mind as she decided to put her hand on his shoulder. He didn't know why, but it was kind of calming for him to know that she was there for him. He smiled at the thought of that, and found himself blushing even more. Robbie didn't want her to take her hand off, whatever it was she was trying to do, he thought it was working. If she was trying to make him calm down, that was definitely working. He didn't know how, but just having her hand there was a very calming for him and it made him feel a lot better. Robbie didn't know if he wanted to say anything to her about it though, she might start thinking things that he might not want her to think, and maybe she would find out about his feelings for her. Robbie frowned when she took her hand off of him. "You .. you didn't have to take your hand away." Robbie said, a look of sadness touching his face. He had been enjoying the peace of her just having her hand there, and it had been making him feel comfortable in what had been happening.

This new feeling that Laura was experiencing was still completly confusing to her, she had tried to ignore it but it just kept coming back whenever she attempted to take her mind off of it. She was a little frustrated now but that wasn't and never will be because of Robbie, he was too kind and shy to frustrate her. Well, at least that's how she felt at that moment. She did think it was a little unusual how Robbie was ataring at her though, she didn't thin it was creepy one bit but she did think that there was something on her face or something wrong with her appearance that day. She was sure that she looked okay when she left her dorm. She wasn't sure that Robbie had noticed something that she hadn't though. She didn't take it in the wrong way at all, she wasn't offended in any way but she did start to think there was something wrong with her, it had nothing to do with Robbie. Laura thought that Robbie couldn't do anything to insult her or make her feel bad about something, she thought he was too sweet for anything like that. "Everything i say is right." Laura said with a playful tone to her voice, she wanted to change the mood of the conversation to something less awkward and more comfortable for the bothh of them. Changing the mood to something mreo positive would prove sucessful, she hoped that it would. "You like it? Huh, maybe i should do it more often then." Laura said as she poked out her tongue at Robbie. Laura felt like the conversation was changing but she still didn't know, she needed Robbie's reaction to make a final decision. She looked at Robbie, he was still freaking out a little but she stayed optimistic that he would feel better soon.

The reason that Laura had put her hand on Robbie's shoulder was to calm him down and make him feel less tense, she knew that this had failed because he seemed to continue to freak out. Keeping people calm was something Laura always attemped to do but now the task of making Robbie calm felt further away than ever. He was blushing when her hand was touching him, she chose to ignore it, she had assumed it was part of the freak out he was having. She felt better when she took her hand away from him because she had felt as if she had done the right thing. However, it was suprising for Laura when Robbie told her he didn't want her to move her hand. "Really? I thought it was making you uncomfortable." Laura said with a puzzled look on her face. She had thought that it was making Robbie more tense but she must have been wrong. It was a bit suprising for her, she felt guilty when she noticed that Robbie looked sad. "I'm sorry. Why are you freaking out anyway?" Laura asked kindly, she wanted to know because she was genuinely worried and concerned about him. It must be something important if he had a reaction like that, Right? Laura looked at Robbie again, she wanted the sadness she could see in him to go away so she did the first thing she could think of. Laura exhaled before smiling and delicately placing her hand on Robbie's and squeezing it gently, this was a common way of comforting somebody and Laura assumed it would work, Robbie was different though, Laura couldn't guess his reaction so she waited for it intently and hoped that he wasn't going to react badly to what she was doing, or anything she did for that matter.

Robbie could see that Laura had a lot on her mind at the moment, and he had been feeling like that all afternoon. He really wanted to know what it was because of though, because he thought he had done something wrong now. Robbie frowned slightly, blushing even deeper. He didn't want to hurt Laura's feelings, and he didn't want to offend her in any way, because he wanted to be able to be her best friend and then become something more with her maybe. Or maybe just jump straight to the something more? Robbie didn't exactly know if he would even be able to admit his feelings for her though. Robbie wondered if there was any part of her that was actually as confused as he was, and he couldn't help but wonder whether or not she would run away and avoid him if he told her what was going through his head, and what he wanted to tell her. Robbie couldn't help but smile weakly at her as she said that she should do it more often, to be honest he would LOVE for her to do that. He liked staring into her eyes, but he didn't know what to say to that. "C-c-cool." He said, sighing deeply. He hated that he still couldn't relax around Laura, he wanted her to realise that non of this was her fault, and it was all Robbie.

Robbie couldn't help but want Laura to keep her hand on his shoulder, because she was actually helping him to calm down in a way, but it just didn't seem to be working on the outside. He was slowly starting to relax around her and before long he would actually be able to articulate a proper sentence, though that could take a while and even when he felt he could it may only be a small sentence. Eventually Laura would probably get sick and tired of him being all shy and not saying anything and would probably walk off on him and never talk to him again, that was what everyone else in his life had done and he wouldn't be able to handle it if it happened again. He would probably have a mental breakdown of some sort if he lost another friend because he was too shy. Robbie heard her ask why he was acting like he was, and he couldn't help but freeze where he was. He wouldn't lie to her, and for him to answer that question would be for him to tell her how he was beginning to feel about her. Robbie just couldn't tell her, not yet, it would probably ruin everything he had worked for. But he couldn't lie to her either. "Well, uhm, I guess... I-i.. I j-j-just get this w-w-weird feeling inside whenever I t-t-t-talk to you." Robbie admitted, blushing bright red.

Because of how Robbie was acting towards her, Laura felt a little, excluded for some reason. Was it sadness? Robbie was obviously freaking and Laura didn't know how she could help in any way. She felt insignificant, a feeling she had not been used to. Feeling like she was at that time made her feel like she wanted to cawl into a hole and never come out again. A feeling of depression maybe? It couldn't be. This feeling had come all of a sudden, depression usually occured over a long period of time, didn't it? With the other mix of feelings she was having, she couldn't tell what this new feeling was, she just knew that it was bad. Robbie seemed like the kind of person that wouldn't open up to her so she threw the slight idea that he might open up completely out the window. Laura ran her hand through her hair again and stared at Robbie. "Then I will if you think it's cool." Laura said as she stared hard at him. She was still trying to change the mood of the conversation but she felt like she was failing, mostly because she didn't feel like she was in a laughing mood anymore. Mostly dure to the new feeling that had added itself to the long list of feelings she unfortunately had already. Laura was still staring hard at him and she felt as though he would freak out even more if she continued to stare directly at him, even if it was a joke. He was obviously freaking and she knew that she couldn't do anything to help. She couldn't think of any ways that might make him feel calmer, so in turn, she couldn't help. Even though she wanted to, she really wanted to.

Knowing that she was a kind person, unlike her sister, Laura felt really guilty that she wasn't able to help Robbie feel better and stop whatever was making him freak out and become what seemed to be really nervous and tense. When Laura felt nervous and tense, which she felt sometimes. She would usually drink a Butter Beer and it would go away. Laura felt as if she should suggest it but she had a feeling that it wouldn't help in any way possible. Would it? Laura shrugged, it was at least worth a try and she cared enough about Robbie to try and help. "Whenever I start to feel nervous, I would drink a Butter Beer and I would feel better, that might help with you." Laura suggested. It was worth a shot and she hoped that Robbie would take it into consideration. Although, every person was different and every person had their own way to deal with things, maybe Robbie's was to be really tense, nervous and even a little distant. Was it too much to ask for Robbie to open up a little more? Laura looked away from him as he answered her question, she was starting to blame herself for the fact that Robbie was being distant. Was he being distant at all? Laura wasn't sure of anything. The only thing she could really focus on was trying to make Robbie feel more comfortable. Laura however, was a little shocked when Robbie had finished answering her. He had a weird feeling, she did to. Was it possible they were feeling the exact same thing? "Oh, well, right then." Laura said, before moving some hair out of Robbie's face. She started to blush when she noticed that he was blushing, maybe they were feeling the exact same thing. Laura managed to smile, trying to hide her blushing.

Robbie couldn't believe what was going on right here. He had just told Laura how he felt inside, and what a weird feeling it was to him right now, and all she said was oh, well, right then, but he would have surprised her with the whole opening up thing, because he hadn't even expected him to do it. But, there was no way Robbie would be able to lie to Laura about anything which meant he had had to tell her what was going through his head and what was on his mind right now. He hoped that now that she knew it would be easier for Robbie to open up to her because he had never really been able to open up to anyone before, and he knew that he wanted to be able to open up to her because he wanted her to be able to fix his shyness. He wanted her to be the one person he could open to the the easiest. Robbie slowly reached out and placed his hand on hers in an effort to try and calm himself down, and he knew that if he was able to leave it there for long enough it would do just that, but he knew that there was a chance that Laura would snatch her hand away, but she really seemed to care about calming Robbie down so she might just let him hold her hand. Robbie smiled now because he was starting to feel a little better.

Robbie didn't know what he could say next, or what he should do next. He wanted to be able to talk about what was going on here with Laura, because she seemed to be more confused then ever now that he had told her of his little revelation. He knew what it meant to him but he knew that he wouldn't be able to admit it to her, not without running away the second he did it and then making her follow him just to say something about it, but he knew that if he really wanted to hide nobody would ever be able to find him.. but he wouldn't and he had no reason to do anything like that. Not now, and he doubted he would ever have to. He had people like Laura that made him want to get out and enjoy his life every day, but there would always be that subconcious part of himself that wanted him to stay inside and not talk to anyone. That shy part of his life that drove him insane at every chance it got.. the part of him that he had been trying to get rid of for so long. Robbie now turned to look at Laura again, trying to feel confident in himself and wanting to be able to talk to her completely, his hand still on hers. "So, hey, what's on your.. mind? You know I'll always.. listen." He said, noting that he hadn't stuttered in that sentence, and feeling proud of himself.

As the unusually confusing conversation continued, Laura felt bad that Robbie wasn't completely calm yet. She still didn't know what to do and it was scaring her a bit, it seemed like she was doing everything wrong, like everything she was doing out of instinct was wrong. She knew that if she did the opposite of what she thought was right, it might have a chance of working. Laura didn't think smiling was right so she didn't smile, even though her instincts were telling her to. However, she did start to think that what she was doing was right all along and what she was doing now would be wrong, she dismissed the idea after Robbie moved his hand on hers. It seemed like something Robbie wouldn't do, in fact, Laura didn't expect it. Now her instincts were telling her to go along with it and do something back, make a kind gesture perhaps? Laura was about to do the opposite of what she thought she was supposed to but she quickly, almost instantly changed her mind. She looked up at Robbie, smiling. He was being adorable, much like what Laura thought of him. She couldn't help but smile. He was cute, the way he had just put his warm, comforting hand on hers so effortlessly minus the fact that me might be really nervous on the inside, Laura couldn't tell if he was still nervous or not but she did assume he was. Laura wasn't saying anything, she didn't mind, she felt as if nothing more could be said and saying anything now would ruin the moment they were having, even if it was only one sided. Laura was quietly hoping it wasn't.

Deciding that going against her instincts was one of the most stupid things she could do at the time, Laura followed her instincts and moved her hand from underneath his hand and put her hand gently on top of his and squeezed slightly. Laura smiled again and said "You're so adorable, Robbie." She was telling the complete and utter truth, she did think he was adorable and telling him seemed like one of the things that could make the conversation go from confusing to making some kind of sense, for Laura at least. She liked how this moment felt for her, she was curious to find out what Robbie thought of this situation. It wouldn't hurt to ask now, would it? "How do you feel?" Laura asked kindly. She was quite amazed that their conversation had been so intense and had last as long as it actually did, plus, it was unusual to experience all the feelings she had during this conversation and who knows how long they had actually been sitting there. Laura took a quick look around and noticed that most of the people there before had left. Laura assumed that it was the evening and they were all at the great all. At this point, Laura would rush to the great hall in fear of being late but that day, she couldn't care less. Laura looked back into Robbie's eyes and smiled again, she only wanted to be near Robbie, she did think he was one of the cutest boys she had seen after all. Laura knew that Robbie would listen to her, she wasn't about to answer his question just yet. She wanted him to answer hers first, although she had a slight feeling it might make him mad, which she didn't want. What she did want however, was to make herself feel better, no matter how selfish that sounded.

Robbie could tell that she could see he was starting to react, but she was also fighting with herself and trying to decide what she should do right now. There was so much that could happen and so much that Robbie needed her to figure out because he couldn't tell her on his own there was no way that he would be able to admit to her what was going on inside of him unless she asked him. That was the only way, because he wouldn't lie to Laura and there was no way he would avoid one of her questions either. She meant a lot to him already and they were closer then most people were after only meeting that day, and he was cool with that. He needed to be able to open up to someone, didn't he? Laura seemed to want him to open up to her as much as he could and he wanted to do just that every time he needed to open up to someone. She understood him and that was what he needed. He needed somebody to understand him and who he was and be able to look past all of the shyness and the bad things and see the good things that were there and to be able to help him out when he needed someone to. Laura was that person and he wanted to tell her that he wanetd her to know she was probably the one person he trusted the most right now.

Robbie couldn't help but notice when she took his hand and squeezed it. It was affectionate and to him it showed that she cared. By now Robbie was past calmed down, he was sufficiently distracted. He would most likely be able to say whatever he wanted right now but if he said everything he would probably scare her off and he wouldn't be able to see her again and then he would lose her, and he wouldn't be able to handle that. Robbie blushed brightly when she said that he was adorable. Nobody had ever told him that before and it made him smile, especially because it has been Laura that had said it to him.. there was just something about her. Robbie half froze up when she asked her next question, the only thing she could have asked that would get him to tell her what was going through his head right now and he wanted to tell her, he knew that he would have to now. He wouldn't lie to her and he wouldn't ignore her question. That wasn't him, and it never would be him. "Well, uhm.. I'm actually thinking that.. you're the only thing that matters right here and now. The only important thing out here." Robbie said, blushing bright red. He braced himself for her to run away and never talk to him again, and he would never be able to forgive himself for that.

Even though Laura knew she should be leaving to go to dinner, she just didn't want to. She wanted to spend as much time with Robbie as possible, no matter if she got in trouble or not. She just wanted to spend more time with him and get to know him more, that is to say, a whole lot more. Laura was interested in him and she wanted to know everything and anything about him. Laura knew that he was shy, it was obvious, and she couldn't help but think it was one of the cutest things in him. One of the cutest things in him she knew about, she couldn't help but think about everything she didn't know about him. She wanted to know, she wanted to know everything. It was one of the traits which she think sorted her into Ravenclaw, her willing and wanting to know everything, along with her academic personality. Laura was defying what the stereotype of her house was and breaking the rules so she could spend more time with Robbie, she bit the inside of her cheek, she wanted Robbie to know how much he meant to her, and how much she cared and wanted him to be safe. She would tell him, if only she could understand it herself, she had really only just met him, even if it was evening now and the time they met was morning, they had been talking for most of the day and Laura didn't want to stop now. She continued to hold her hand on his ever so gently, it made her feel somewhat secure that she wasn't going to get in trouble for not being where she was supposed to. She loved it. Laura continued to touch his hand, she liked how soft and warm his skin was, it was refreshing for her to feel so comfortable around somebody, and it was even better for her to be around somebody like Robbie, he was unlike anybody she had ever met before.

It was pleasant and relieving for Laura when she noticed Robbie was calm, she felt like she had succeeded in something that day, instead of doing nothing and breaking the rules. Although, Laura had to admit that she wouldn't care if the conversation went into night. Laura didn't sleep properly and if she talked with Robbie was in his presence until nightfall, she might actually be able to sleep properly. It was a relief and a burden for her, Robbie might not want to talk until night-time and Laura would just have to accept that. It was a good thing in a way though, Laura wanted the best for Robbie and even if she had a lot of feelings she couldn't explain and it was irritating her, she wouldn't care about it if she was around Robbie, which she was now. Laura playfully laughed when Robbie said she was the most important thing there, it was flattering and Laura thought it was one of the nicest things anybody had ever said to her. So she couldn't stop herself from blushing when Robbie started blushing, she smiled. "Thanks Robbie, I think the same way about you, I don't care that we are breaking the rules and not being where we should be. I usually would care but not today." Laura said truthfully, she would never be able to lie to Robbie and she felt like that was mutual. So that's why she decided to ask the question she had been pondering to ask for a little while, she had kept it secret but now she felt it was right to ask. "We only did just meet today, Robbie, so, why are you being so sweet?" Laura didn't know if she had worded that sentence properly, she said what she needed to say and even if Robbie didn't quite understand where she was coming from or what she meant, she didn't mind, she was just glad to have finally asked and would finally maybe be able to understand what was going on in Robbie's head.
