Ai Edogawa was now getting herself ready for the Yule Ball. With all that had happened in her fifth year, she was more than eager to have some happy time during the Yuletide season and finally spend Christmas happily. She did deserve it after all. Or did she not? Surely she did for she had no brother at the time, she and her friend having some awkward air around them, she had less and less time to spend with her boyfriend. She had gotten sick lately and was a bit close to death at one point or more! Yep. She definitely needed and deserved a day off! Besides she'd be spending her Christmas with the Tsukino family and she was more than eager to be reunited with her older brother despite not really being related by blood. Shaking thoughts out of her head, she had resumed readying herself. Nothing was going to stop her from having the time of her life.

As soon as she deemed herself ready, Ai walked out of her dormitory and walked down the common room and to the Great Hall gracefully. She had grown well, and it showed as she walked through the walls of her known home for the past four years. She wore not a too elegant of a dress and chose quite a simple one that she had thought had fit her well. Her confidence with herself for the night showed as she entered the Great Hall and the smell of food and the cheery atmosphere of the celebration welcomed her. She smiled at this. Never did she get tired of attending the Yule Ball. She only hoped that Heath would come this year. She really didn't want to force him into going to the Ball with her but still, she wanted to spend time with him on the happy celebration but then again, she had already been readying herself for the worst, if ever Heath had decided to just stay in his room. The Hufflepuff prefect resumed her little walk amongst the crowd, taking a look if he would ever recognize anyone there.

Sage loved balls, she was the kind of girl who loved a little bit of make up with a beautiful made dress. She had this year gone for a slightly simpler dress, a satin black dress with a gold design at the bottom. The young Slytherin was looking forward to the ball. People got dressed up, made an effort. Uniforms were taken off, and well, drama was always clear. She just had to stand at the side and watch. But, this much wasn't really what she wanted to do. After much presuasion the teen was finally going to be able to go back to her home country. Her and her father had moved to New Zealand when Sage had been about eight years old. And finally she would be able to go home and see her old friends, the people she used to know. The girl loved New Zealand, but she missed her home in Argentina. Which was why for once, the girl had left her dorm without the little notebook that she usually carried around. Her mood was a lot higher than normal. She was smiling a lot more, and just happy to be going back home for a little bit. Even if it was only for a little bit. Which was a good thing. Gathering her the last few items and slipping them into her purse, she brushed her hair over one shoulder and then headed out the door.

The Yuleball itself was stunning as usual. She wandered around the hall to begin with. Without many friends, Sage was also without a date. But that didn't bother the young girl. Instead, she was just happy wandering around the hall, finally settling not to far from the drinks table, quickly snagging one, before taking another look around the hall, finally her eyes settled on a girl standing alone wearing what Sage decided was a beautiful dress. The red colour was one she could only really manage when she was more tanned than she was now. The girl pulled it off nicely, and in this new and nicer mood, Sage decided to go tell her. She wandered over, brushing down on her own dress and readjusted the hair band. Stopping just in front of the girl. While Sage was a fairly small girl, the heels she'd matched with her dress made her taller. It made her legs longer, and made her look as slim as she was. She cleared her throat once she was beside the girl. "Your dress is stunning" The girl stated simply looking the girl over as she said it. "Where did you get it?" She asked with a small smile. The girl wasn't exactly nervous, but she wasn't very good with folks, and Sage had spent a lot of time distancing herself from most people. "I'm Sage" She added extending her hand to the girl as a greeting. The Yuleball was a time for meeting new people, and just ignoring the sort of house hatred that usual flew high.
