After Aleyha left the dorms, Hadan decided it would be best to get herself dressed and ready for the ball. Her date was of course, her Ravenclaw boy. Her hair was slightly wavy, and she had natural, light makeup on. Her ruby-like orbs were bright and majestic against her white skin and brown hair. She stood up and got dressed in a shiny, wintry dress and silver high stiletto heels. Ever since she had aged, Hadan was showing off more and more of her body. Now, she showed off her legs, and most of her arms and where her collar bone is. She smiled before she went to the Great Hall. She told her date that she would wait by the punch bowl, and that was Hadan's destination. Her delicate, small hand rested against the side of the table, as she gazed down at the punch, and decided not to get any just yet. Hadan had to wait for her Ravenclaw boy.

Finding a tux had been quite the challenge. Raffael didn't have a Dad to help him decide and he didn't have a Mum to simply get one for him. Which meant he had to select one all by himself. It had been a struggle, but eventually Raffael had chosen. It was times like these he wished he had his suit collection from back in France. After the many dinner parties he had been forced to attend when he was younger, surely he could have found something? But instead he had to rely on his own judgement and hoped his suit was acceptable. He didn't have a clue how people in New Zealand dressed.

Shrugging on his suit jacket, Raffael fixed his hair into it's old perfect style. He was so used to wearing his hair immaculately when he was younger, that even though he hadn't worn it this way in a long time, he still knew exactly how to style it. Stepping back he arranged his tie and assessed his appearance. He hoped Hadan liked it and that he fit in with everyone else.

Leaving the towers, he walked all the way down to the Great Hall, remembering that he had to meet his Slytherin date at the punchbowl. He was both excited and nervous about the evening ahead. As he entered through the large doors, his eyes immediately searched for the refreshment table. Raffael had to step through the crowds a little before he found it, but when he did, his jaw almost hit the floor. Hadan was wearing a short dress, revealing much of her pale skin. He remembered her looking stunning last year, but his feelings for her hadn't been as strong as they were this year. He didn't know how he planned to contain those particular feelings around her tonight when she looked the way she did.

Realising he was standing a distance away and simply drinking in her appearance, he shook his head and walked over to her. "Wow." Was all he managed. "Just wow." He said, his mouth lifting into a smile as he pecked her lightly on the cheek in a traditional French greeting.

Hadan's eyes searched, but when they met Raffael's, her heart did flips. The feelings she had for him, there were some that she could not explain, and some that just might be stronger than just a schoolgirl crush. Hadan laughed softly at his words. Hadan flashed a smile, "I assume you like the dress?" She was openly flirting now, as she felt that comfortable around him. Her eyes sparkled like gems from happiness, and she adored his own greeting to her. Who would refuse a kiss on the cheek from someone so great like Raffael? Hadan reached out to touch his cheek with her hand.

"You look so handsome tonight, Raffael." How long had it been since he found a way into her used-to-be-cold heart? Well over a year now. And Hadan adored the light that now radiated from her being. She met her other sister when she was with him, and soon, Hadan would have to allow him to meet the rest of her family. Her adopted that is. He knew almost everything about her, inside and out, her past. She never trusted anymore more than now. Hadan removed her hand and placed it by her side. Rather nervous and anxious, she motioned toward the punch, "Um, drink?"

"Like it? Hmm, I may have to set up a temple in its honour." He joked, with a wink. He felt her hand on his cheek and he almost managed a blush at her comment about him looking handsome. As long as his effort didn't go wasted on Hadan, it didn't matter what anyone else thought of him. No one else mattered tonight, but her. Raff unconciously leaned his head forward a little closer to her lips, but then pulled back and just after she dropped her hand. Clearing his throat, his heart thumping madly he said, "Maybe a little later." Meaning both the drink and perhaps the kiss he almost gave her. His French accent was slowly wearing away the longer he stayed with an Australian family, but it was still definitely evident. "Would you care to dance instead?" He asked with a smile, bowing his head a little and presenting his hand, palm up for her to take. He couldn't take his eyes off her. It seemed like his feelings had sky rocketed in a way he didn't think possible. Hadan had changed so much, but Raffael knew that she also hadn't changed at all, which was why he liked her so much. They held a strong trust in each other and Raffael treasured it.

Hadan couldn't help but laugh. However, the dress she had planned for next year will really flip his lid if he liked this one. Although the this one showed off more, the other one made her look like a goddess. "Just a little warning though, I might have to set one up for you." Hadan could not help to think that Raffael, the one she was so heavily smitten with, was about to kiss her. However, Hadan was almost glad that he pulled away. She wanted to be ready for something like that. Hadan placed her white hand in his, and she teased, "I do hope you can keep up with a fast song. My skills have improved since last year." Hadan stared at their joined hands, and just a small contact made her feel warm, secure, just everything good inside plus more. With heels tapping on the floor, Hadan slowly led her date through the crowd in order to dance the night away. Hey, she was sixteen and she was loving every second of it.

Raffael let out a chuckle at her response, all the nerves he may have been feeling before were gone, leaving only blissful excitement in their place. "Of course I can keep up with a fast song." He said playfully as she took his hand. "I didn't attend monstrous amounts of parties my Mother held for nothing." He joked with a wink as they made their way through the crowd. If it had been with anyone else, Raff wouldn't even think of mentioning his Mother, but with Hadan he knew the subject was one he could trust her with, so mentions of the past didn't hurt him. In this case, he simply started to move to the music, like he hadn't said anything at all. He still held Hadan's hand tightly in his, twirling her around.

After a few fast paced songs, the tempo slowed and Raff stopped his movements. Smiling at Hadan, he gently tugged her closer with the hand in hers and placed both his hands on the shallow of her back. Raffael knew that sooner her later he would have to tell Hadan about his feelings for her. He would be lying if he said he didn't want anything to happen between them eventually, but for now he was perfectly fine with the way things were.
